A large enough mining farm probably found that this coin could easily be attacked. This is the problem with low cap altcoins with very little hash power behind the network, and is also part of the reason why investors have run away from altcoins.

It's scary to invest in altcoins today and people may be better off investing in Bitcoin which no doubt has enough hash to resist network attacks like this.
