ATTENTION: We have a planned fork occurring at block 30,000. The fork will update the mixin levels and allow for larger transactions to be sent more readily. There is also a fix for a bug that can affect the turtlecoin codebase.

What do you need to do?

Download the new wallet V2.0.0 release:

https://github.com/Chimera-Project/chimera-wallet-electron/releases/tag/V2.0.0

IF YOU RUN A NODE update with the latest node client V2.0.0 BEFORE block 30,000!

https://github.com/Chimera-Project/chimera/releases

EVERYONE CAN USE THE NEW WALLETS NOW. THEY WORK GREAT!

You guys should read the Chimera website. The distribution is clearly stated. In fact, it's the driving factor behind The Chimera Project.

10% premine
30% proof of stack = 40%

So that 40% had to be allocated in the genesis block.

One of the first big projects is to setup an automated, trustless github airdrop distribution bot to auto distrubute the the tokens (10% of 30% shown above) to top github devs (thinking 1 distribution round on the 1st of every month). The bot will have complete control of the tokens and will burn unclaimed ones after a period of time (thinking 30 days).

The remaining ~20% of the 30% will be rewarded early on to devs that complete important development tasks such as creation of an android wallet. I know someone that integrates crypto into games. I think that it would be interesting to entice him to create some cool apps/games. Of course, the community decides what we want.

None of this is hidden. I'm the one screaming it from the rooftop!

Proof of Stack is a game changing innovation force!

Most projects launch without an announcement. This announcement was posted 15 minutes after starting the blockchain. A block explorer was launched within a couple of days for complete transparency. Linux wallets were available from day 1. A Linux mining tool has also been available since day 1. We have a mining pool released 10 days after launch. Windows gui wallet will likely be released today. Transparency and fairness is a hallmark feature of this project. Nothing is hidden- except user transactions because this is a monero and turtlecoin codebase.

Here is the distribution as advertised on all official sources: 30% for proof of stack, 60% mined through POW and 10% premine. This is what this project is about. That's what makes it unique. Open, honest, bringing large numbers of devs from diverse backgrounds. No one has ever done this before. In one week we have created a stable blockchain, block explorer, Linux gui wallet, Linux cli wallet, and a kind and talented community member just created a mining pool. Software development is difficult and is even more difficult in the crypto space. We are light years ahead of other projects in the same time frame. There was no ico so 100% of expenses are being borne by the team. I'll gladly give big token rewards for major contributions. I'm very excited about the future of this project as are the active members of the rapidly growing community.

We're working on it right now. The network was started only about a week ago. Linux GUI (Electron) wallet is up and running. The Windows GUI wallet is in the works. Thanks for checking us out!
