1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Lockdown easing - I'm back in the cafe on: July 23, 2020, 08:07:34 PM
Well I'm back in the supermarket cafe tomorrow, as I've bought a wild life trail camera on Amazon ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B087RFJFRL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=10 ) the policy is to ask customers if they have a mask, and to ask them politely to wear it if they aren't. If they say "no" then security is told to let them in anyway, and to ignore the mask wearing requirement. Now that I know that I don't have to wear one, I might wear one to gain some good boy points. Smiley

ps. I asked if I can have a straw so that I can drink my coffee. Smiley

Rather be on Morrison cafe than in the supermarket cafe Smiley
I can't sustain without my portion of coffe. Everyday before I
start to work I need refill.  Its funny that some times politeness
make people wear mask instead obligation.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: web of trust question -- laanwj gpg key on: July 22, 2020, 03:00:25 PM
01EA 5486 DE18 A882 D4C2 6845 90C8 019E 36C2 E964 is the key he uses to sign the binaries. If you go to https://bitcoin.org/en/download, you will find the release signatures signed with that key.

The key 9DEA E0DC 7063 249F B054 7468 1E4A ED62 986C D25D is a subkey of the primary key 71A3 B167 3540 5025 D447 E8F2 7481 0B01 2346 C9A6. This primary key is displayed on his GitHub here: https://github.com/laanwj

You can find this key, and the associated public key block, at the following:

https://keyserver.ubuntu.com/pks/lookup?search=0x9DEAE0DC7063249FB05474681E4AED62986CD25D&op=index

http://pool.sks-keyservers.net/pks/lookup?search=0x9DEAE0DC7063249FB05474681E4AED62986CD25D&op=index

Technically as I understood it the main key for signing binaries is
01EA 5486 DE18 A882 D4C2 6845 90C8 019E 36C2 E964. So you don't need another key from GitHub to run bitcoind. It's just for informative purpose that he is truly the one behind release notes.

I am travelling by train to work and there are some gipsys asking for money.

so pessimistic of covid because I will too. Grin
4  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The real education are not taught at school!! on: July 22, 2020, 12:54:38 PM
In EU there are plenty of public school for free. I think that millennials don't have enough respect to appreciate what they can possibly learn e.g. computer science. Sure what is taught on these universities is just first step. Life is like decision path and who can better decide is winner.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Very strange most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few on: July 21, 2020, 02:34:27 PM
There are lot of newcomers who think that when btc has value,
altcoin must have too. It's all about supply and demand, why
Would you risk your safe investment fiat money on some coin,
which is developed by some shady  salesman and have only
purpose to speculate on value.? Me not. Some coin must
prove its inherent value by passing the time.
This really prove that mostly users in this industry have the trust to bitcoin. Though some also believe in other altcoin the top in the market. That's true many are new in crypto world and does not know yet which is better and most valuable in the market. So mostly we cater to the one most valuable that is bitcoin.

It should be which altcoins survive next altcoin purge. There are few like Dodge, XRP, NEO, Dash.. These are valuable but not more gain in holding to wait that they will spike up. They are settled, once was the opportunity to invest into them but only for these firstcomers call them prediction gurus. It's like with IPOs it's very hard to bet on project right and be guaranteed that market will go in right direction that I'll will be successful.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How effective can blockchain be in healthcare during this pandemic? on: July 18, 2020, 03:43:57 PM
In respect of health care industry, there is private blockchain project called hyperledger. It's fully open source and most popular is besu variant.
Below is a list of some interesting healthcare applications powered by Hyperledger.

  • KitChain - for managing the pharmaceutical clinical supply chain, creating an immutable record for shipment and event tracking without the need to resort to paperwork
  • Axuall – Axuall is a digital network for verifying identity, credentials, and authenticity in real-time
  • MELLODDY Project – This drug discovery project
  • Verified me - blockchain-based digital identity network

blockchain is game changer. The data  will be distributed  among the  nodes.  Therefore each  node  will be  responsible for  handling  its  own  data

Big motivation for me as I am pretty new here.
I agree its all about information, we are all here community,
so giving yourself time before transmitting your thoughts,
to improve quality and get more trust from people around here.
I think that everyone has some piece of value that we can learn each other from.
Still you definitely put too much effort into it to make it to senior member,
so congrats. Its good example that merit works as war designed to improve quality of forum.

9  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we agree BTC is not a store of value? on: July 15, 2020, 12:09:27 PM
You have just described an investment, not a store of value.

What is a store of value?

Anything that retains purchasing power into the future.
Good example are fiat money or precious metal.
The point is risk management and low volatility
connected with asset.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All hope is lost?? on: July 12, 2020, 10:03:14 AM
When you invest do big research before,
I personally don't trade altcoints because they are too risky for me.
It gives you uselessly FOMO and you will fail in this gambling mindset.
However there is always hope, I know is very hard when market is going
against you and you must decide if you taking lost or wait a bit more.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ripple ever reach $5 ? on: June 13, 2020, 12:22:50 PM
According my analysis, the XRP is highly unevaluated.
There is good time to buy and hold but 5$ seems very
dream goal. We will see, in time span maybe 1 year.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best trading platform? on: June 05, 2020, 01:37:19 PM
Coinbase is also good alternative. Binance launched new platform binance jeysey,
where there are zero fees on deposit/withdrawal by wire.
13  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Did Bill Gates create Corona Virus (Covid-19) ? on: June 03, 2020, 05:34:45 PM
I'm glad that I live at a time when people begin to wake up. More and more people begin to understand who rules the worlds at a given moment. More and more people realize that the tentacles of the Illuminati made their way into all spheres of life. There are those people who understood all this global deception back in the 90s and 2000s (and even earlier).
If you strive for sanity, goodness and your spiritual growth, then you will understand everything yourself, and the information will come to you Smiley

Dont be affraid, they are everywhere.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Taxation on: June 03, 2020, 05:26:49 PM
If even crypto will be fully regulated there will always exists more private decentralized exchanges,
or trades locally and illegal way to evade of paying tax from your crypto to maximize income.
Its our choice to be legal or illegal. With crypto comes more control and responsibility on your
digital assets. Its far more easier to be needle in stack. Still I think that is better to contribute
to society and taking legal way of living.

Lastly, we are already gaining a lot of profits in this industry so, I think it should be the time for us to pay back in order to help the development of our country by paying our taxes in case it would become legal.

We? you are talking for all the gainers and every time there are investors who gained in crypto, there are also investors who lose their money here.
Actually if they keep making money with the current set up, they will prefer this and will not pay taxes if its not required by their government, every country has different policy, lucky are those who live in a country where crypto is not yet fully regulated as they can maximize their income if they are profitable investing here.
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I've got $20k to invest. Please recommend! on: June 01, 2020, 04:47:13 PM
In your place I would buy altcoins, because only altcoins can increase in price by 10 times or more
Yes, investing in altcoin is a good option to earn profit but the question is, which altcoin can increase 10 times? I guess we need to wait the market bullish to happen. Careful to invest in a new coins because many scams nowadays, just pick the old coins like ethereum and hold for long.

I don't think that with 20k you are looking for ROI 1000%.
Simple truth is the more money, the more risk you put it on.
16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Qatar is still the richest country in the world on: June 01, 2020, 04:41:07 PM
qatar is a paradise for investors, tourists, and for everyone.even though saudi arabia and its allies blockade them, qatar remains prove that they are powerful country

Qatar is not definitely quickest start for somebody wit entrepreneur mindset.
Establishing company here is far harder than in most european countries, it takes
lot of time and need more initial capital cca. 30 000 EUR.
