1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchange managed to lose 7000- 13000 BTC in Non Payment?(BTC downtrend reason?) on: February 19, 2020, 04:21:14 PM
THIS IS EXACTLY WHY you use an exchange that has transparent custody like Blockchain board of derivatives. Thank me later.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Trading Strategies- Best Practices on: January 30, 2020, 11:29:38 AM
A decent startegy that works for me is using RSI + 55 EMA on the hourly chart.

Basically, if RSI is going above 60 and the candle crosses the EMA, I go long.
if RSI is going below 40 and the candle crosses below the EMA, I go short.

R:R is atleast 1:5 or more. In Bitcoin, it happens to bounce around a lot and hit my SL often. Although its quite a good strategy for alts and such.

You can maybe try adding more indicators to this strat and refine it yourself. Currently I trade ETH with this startegy on BBOD (it has zero fee trading).
It works for me.

I also scalp a bit on there, zero fee is quite good for us scalpers.

Happy trading!  Wink
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading for Beginners? on: January 29, 2020, 04:40:58 PM
The internet is your best buddy. If you want to learn to trade, you gotta learn by doing. Its not going to come automatically. The only way out is to trade and learn from your mistakes.

Having said that, start with a small account. DO NOT TRADE ON TESTNETS.

While they might be useful to start with and familiarise yourself with the order placement procedure and what not, they do not help you in the real world to make money.
You might make a lot of money on the testnet, but it will be difficult to implement the same strategy on real accounts.

Grasp all information that you can on trading and get better at it day by day. To shortern the learning curve, you might want to check the 'The Trader's Perspective' series on https://bbod.io/blog.

Pretty cool platform imo.

But always, DYOR. Happy trading! Cheesy Grin Cheesy

4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading app? on: January 29, 2020, 04:25:28 PM
If by trading app, you mean exchange. I trade frequently on Blockchain Board of Derivatives (BBOD). The offering is dope. Upto 50x leverage on future contracts, zero fee trading, transparent custody, lightning fast engine.

I have lost a lot of money in Mt. Gox. Not falling for any other exchange that claims to be "famous and the best". I would rather trade on an under the radar exchange that is much more secure than mainstream exchanges. Feel free to check out all exchanges though. All the best  Wink Cool
5  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Zero-Fee Leveraged Trading: Is It Possible? ***SPOILER ALERT!*** YES, It IS! on: January 27, 2020, 05:06:34 PM
Cool stuff. Been trading at BBOD for more than 6 weeks now. The matching engine is quite fast. The UI/UX is friendly and not that hard to grasp.

If you come from Bitmex/ Bybit (which have extremely slow charts), you would be delighted.

If you come from Binance, you would see familiar format of placing orders (but with upto 50x leverage)

The way settlements function is pretty cool imo. A smart contract that does settlements paired with your personal wallet only.

Haven't seen this in any exchange in the industry till now.

Keep up the good work guys!

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Some exchanges charges are too high on: January 22, 2020, 03:56:59 PM
I have been trading on Bitmex, Binance, Huobi, WazirX, Okex, Bitfinex, etc. I have also been waiting for Digitex to launch for quite some time. I really wanted to check out zero fee trading on their platform. BBOD came into my radar recently. It is fairly new, but its quite smooth tbh.

Pros-
1. Zero fee trading
2. personal custody, so exchange could be provably solvent
3. leveraged alts (yay for me, nay for some)
4. Quick support and new features deployed every now and then

Cons-
1. Liquidity (this will get better as more traders and market makers come in)
2. New features deployed often lead to bugs sometimes
3. BBD token price is not stable. (but a great fundamental buy)

This makes so much sense. If only a lot more people knew better.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why its hard to attract investors on: November 13, 2019, 01:24:07 PM
do not worry. it would be easy to attract investors in the next bull run. meanwhile, keep stacking those sats!
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of Bitcoin rise by the end of this year on current time? on: November 12, 2019, 09:21:56 AM
Not likely. But by the end of next year, the price of Bitcoin is bound to move. The halving in April 2020 is a major bull run catalyst. Cheers!
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and tax in your countries on: November 11, 2019, 02:27:45 PM

14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be careful with margin trading. (story) on: November 07, 2019, 04:43:47 PM
Margin trading is really hard, even for expert usually they are on wrong step and then lose too much in margin trading. Maybe your friend need to take a rest first, trading in margin is have bigger risk because it is not like trading as usual when we can hold as long as we want.
Couldn't agree more. Trading simpler is much easier at first than margin trading.
