1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AML/KYC Explained on: December 19, 2019, 04:12:21 PM
But on the other hand, a company in the crypto industry right now without having a proper KYC will often not be able to accept any sort of payment, as banks/card providers would refuse to provide services to them.

Especially in US, but even right now AML5 is making huge difference in Europe too by forcing every member country to implement it (and still some of them aren't ready for January 2020 - i've read somewhere an article about many UK companies which aren't ready and even though they are leaving EU, it's still in force for them i think). Cryptocurrencies are going to be more regulated than ever and those changes aren't made for you guys, because you already know how to protect yourself, you are vets. It's for the newcomers, for the people who will join cryptocommunity very soon, with projects like Libra which are going to adapt it more than ever. The funny thing is that if we look at the "stealing crypto" problem from the global perspective, we'll see that it's really difficult to introduce other solution on this scale different from forcing everyone to register themselves and look at their hands 24/7. Furthermore, the market is heavily fragmented and there are various different standards across the world, even around the European Union. There is a huge demand for AML services and this trend will continue to grow vastly. Other thing is how cryptocurrencies has changed the crime sector as a whole - money laundnering for the last couple years has never been easier and it's time to do something more. However, it becomes really serious topic and many associations wants to fight. There are special methods and companies who deal with such issue. For instance Coinfirm, which is a partner with Binance, is analyzing cryptocurrency transactions to see if they went through the mixers and rate their risk level for AML compliance reasons. They just released their new Standard AML Risk Reports, you can see a sample of hack-related transaction on their blog, it's worth to know how such reports looks like. Hope next year will bring a lot of changes, especially now when there is a huge demand for AML services and this trend will continue to grow vastly.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy now or wait for Bitcoin? on: December 13, 2019, 11:34:23 AM
If I were you, I would buy BTC now, I don't think that price will be lower than it is today
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Believes Dogecoin “Will Go To The Moon” on: December 13, 2019, 11:20:27 AM
I would laugh my balls off if Dogecoin became the defacto stable coin used for getting in and out of other coins. What a complete FU to the world that would be.

hahaha, same. His words will make DOGE more popular
I also saved some dogecoin, but what I see here, is McAfee really honest about his response? Or just advertising? We do not know what is happening behind the scenes. Such as not a setting as well, this is one alternative also to invest right? Maybe some underestimate dogecoin in cryptocurrency, but for another option I don't think it hurts

imo he might be serious and advertising at the same time, or just laughing but it could turn out that will happen
4  Other / Off-topic / Re: Most powerful movie/video game you've ever experienced? on: December 13, 2019, 11:15:36 AM
I am not sure if i got your question correctly, do you want a video game that features a movie or just a movie or video game?
One of the most powerful movies that I have watched is Chernobyl. It created me amazing feelings and I felt like I am living in the past and be part of this history. Totally recommended.

Same here, Chernobyl is a series which everyone should watch, no matter what. I watched it twice and I was just like 'wow'

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: not a rule! but it's about your common sense to avoid scam projects on: December 13, 2019, 09:03:39 AM
That's right, never spend more money than you can afford to lose. Think carefully before making such a risky decision or you can make a safe investment.

and use verified sources, exchanges, projects, coins.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC to GOLD on: December 13, 2019, 08:42:13 AM
Gold is much safer when it comes to storing it, on the other hand, BTC is more like long term investment
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: France to launch their own cryptocurrency on: December 13, 2019, 08:39:11 AM
this will bring a boost to the cryptoworld in my opinion. and will increase adoption of cryptocurrency usage.

yeah, it's nice that blockchain technology and cryptocurrency are more popular all over the world and awareness among people about that stuff increase. However in case of France which wants to launch their own crypto, it's might be just an experiment, I doubt it will have a bright future, but they can try
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Crimes involving crypto have risen on: November 29, 2019, 03:51:18 PM
First thing which comes to my mind about using cryptocurrencies in crimes are money laundering and transactions on darkweb. It was said that from 2019, 829 million dollars in Bitcoin has been spent there. Security system which leaves much to be desired and lack of any regulations are the main reason, nothing will change without these key factors. There are associations set up to prevent such activities for instance Coinfirm, which recently expanded their offer by reclaiming stolen cryptocurrencies. Hope there will be more and more companies in the future like that one, which use blockchain technology to solve serious problems. If you want to know more, you can visit their website: https://www.coinfirm.com
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you stake? Exchange or wallet? on: November 29, 2019, 02:19:54 PM
Exchanges are meant for trading only, if you are going to use them for staking then you are in risk of losing funds.
You’re wrong at this point, there’s a lot of exhange that give you bonuses or rewards for staking specific coins at their platform. And if staking at exchanges means a risk of losing funds, then there’s also risk for trading there. Risk can be found if there’s a risky situation made by the exchange. Ex : Th exchange has bad issues regarding trust. There’s few of them, but issue stays issue. But regarding funds, issue needs to be taken seriously.
Even exchange with good reputation can happen so we might have chance of losing all our funds. If you want those bonus you can keep the tokens on exchange but its not safe to store that is my point.

right, exchange can be shuted down any time. it's much safer to hold funds on some cold wallets
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earth on: November 29, 2019, 02:02:22 PM
wow, I can't believe in 2019 there are still people who assume that the Earth is flat. Ahhh, the flat earth society has members all around the globe
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why you buy Cryptocurrency ? on: November 29, 2019, 01:12:07 PM
Besides money, I like the whole background, technology, how that affects our lives and generally economy. Good to be a part of some project
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trade without id verification? on: November 29, 2019, 01:10:06 PM
I will answer shortly. Yep, such exchanges do exist and no, I do not trust them.

On the other side there are legit exchanges which don't require ID verification to a certain limit
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever been stolen or lost your BTC? on: November 27, 2019, 03:03:59 PM
The safest way of keeping cryptocurrencies is cold storage, it's safe because it's offline. To me storing any data, password etc. online is very risky, especially nowadays, when 'Internet crimes' are very common. There are more and more people who are the victims of theft on the Internet. It's much easier to recover stolen money than reclaim cryptocurrencies... There are some companies which offer help in such cases, the thing is to distinguish it from a scam. I always look for partners, cooperations and background of a platform I use or I am interested about, like in case of Coinfirm, which can reclaim stolen Bitcoin ot Ethereum and are partners with e.g Binance or Bank PKO. Be careful for scams which want to fight with other scams
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Libra Disrupt The Financial/Economic System? on: November 26, 2019, 06:18:29 PM
I think yes, it could disrupt. Take note, how many people use Facebook, almost 3 billions now so Libra has enormous users base at the beginning. To many people it could the most convenient method of payment. What' more Libra signed cooperation with 21 members e.g. Spotify, Uber or PayU... It is going to be huuuge
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this a scam? on: November 26, 2019, 06:05:23 PM
I've read so many articles about such scams, people offer something like profit in the future, all you have to do it pay them in crypto and then they can simply vanish. When it comes to bigger amount of money never trust people, unless that's your family or your friends. Nowadays, when the Internet grew, you can find scams literally everywhere...
18  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: November 26, 2019, 05:58:42 PM
Actually, it's quite important thing to avoid some scams or something. Imo KYC isn't anything wrong and it's important when it's connected with huge amount of money investments
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you need to become a successful trader? on: November 22, 2019, 04:34:57 PM
patience and patience
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner Trader on: November 22, 2019, 01:21:01 PM
It is my first time to hear about tradenix. I think you don't have to choose them as the exchange because I think that site is new, and we don't know how good their reputations. Maybe you can try to visit binance because binance is a big exchange, and I know that many people here are trading on that site. We have another big exchange like poloniex, bittrex, kucoin, and else so you can try to look at it. I recommend those sites I mention, but binance still favored by most people here.

Same here, I've never heard about that so far. The key is to find trustworthy crypto exchange e.g. like these above, so there would be nothing to worry about. Do extensive research about them and choose wisely.
