It's never too early to educate your child, I've been teaching my 15-year-old for over a year now and he is pretty taken by the topic. I did, however, start with the KeepKey as I found it more simplistic. Eventually, I'm gonna upgrade him to a Ledger too, but it doesn't seem to be a wise investment at the moment at least.
It's not aesthetically appealing at all, but you know it's quality because it's made by Tesla, and the asking price isn't high considering the specs either.
As an Android user for about 7 years now, my opinion is probably a bit biassed. Obviously, I side with Android more as it is the cheaper option of the two and offers a lot more possibilities when it comes to installing and even developing your own apps. However, I must admit that iOS is still better in terms of security, so the extra buck is definitely worth it if you feel like you need extra protection.
