1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you ever tried contract trading? on: January 09, 2020, 08:11:26 AM
Maybe you can try the simulation trading first,I don't think it's that complicated. You can experience simulation contract trading without any cost.
I found there was a exchange has launched ETH / SUSDT, EOS / SUSDT, SBTC / USD and BTC / SUSDT simulation trading pairs.

https://www.bitget.cc/en/

Is this like a normal crypto demo trading ? What does the  capital S represent, by the way? Stimulated?  This is probably my first time of seeing the website. Unfortunately, I won't try it yet until am sure it is safe to use.
Meanwhile, I have bookmarked it for possible use in the future.

I think S means Simulation.

Even though the cryptocurrency industry is not new to ups and downs, 2019 has turned out to be the year with the most surprising reveals. The long-lasting bear market of 2018 moved market analysts to call it the year of regulatory reckoning, leaving many jurisdictions uncertain about how to treat cryptocurrencies. However, 2019 also turned out to be the year of the comeback.

Enter the new year immediately,Why not review the hot topics of crypto in 2019?
5  Economy / Speculation / One BTC price is in a perpetual bull market?? on: December 31, 2019, 06:32:11 AM
BTC/USD has dipped significantly several times since September. The pair?s rapid rise and fall triggered predictable warnings from critics and concerns from traders.

Bitcoin?s 200-week moving average (200WMA) has never gone down.Market displaying ?bullish reaccumulation?.
If that's true, maybe I can supplement the risk of falling prices through contract trading.  Smiley

Since the start of 2019, the crypto market has been on the receiving end of an insane amount of financial volatility.

Since the creation of bitcoin and other altcoins the cryptocurrency markets have been very volatile, not just this year. I mean, take a look at 2017-2018 alone.

that year should be a bull market?

Based on various factors there might be different classification on the best cryptocurrency for the year 2019. For me bitcoin is always the best and that mentioned in the list provided with a gradual growth without much large scale dip in the price. From my experience my portfolio is entirely different from these assets holding and 2019 is that good as I expected.

I also look forward to Bitcoin.

Since the start of 2019, the crypto market has been on the receiving end of an insane amount of financial volatility.Recently the media listed some cryptocurrencies that have maintained a good financial status throughout the year, but not named Bitcoin.

They are ETH, EOS, BNB, BFT, XTZ, XNX, BCH, ATOM, LTC, BAT.

Do you agree this list or any other additions?   Smiley

10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dips below $6600 ,contract trading, the best way to speculation??? on: December 23, 2019, 09:02:21 AM
Tuesday Dec. 17 - Bitcoin is retracing rapidly from around the $6,950 price mark to below $6,600 in the past few hours.
BTC is showing a loss of nearly 5% for the day.

However, the contract trading users can get more profits if they judge the right direction? What do you think about contract trading,is it the best way to speculation???

They also lose more if their prediction is wrong. Price of Bitcoin is already volatile enough. You dont need to add even more risk by margin trading. It is more like gambling then trading.

For some, they really can't separate the line between gambling and trading here. They thought that you need to take everything at risk in order to win. However, that is not the case, trading takes lot of practices and you don't need to over complicate things like contract trading. It is unpredictable, and hard to judge which direction it would take even if we use TA.

Also because of this,Bitcoin is like an elf dancing, and no one knows what it will do in the next second. Grin
Maybe derivative's value comes from the fluctuations of the values of the underlying asset.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Price Trend Reversal in Progress? on: December 23, 2019, 08:48:55 AM
On Sunday Bitcoin (BTC) price revved up to rally from $7,115 to $7,642, providing a 7% gain and an unexpectedly strong weekly close, which now has some analysts suggesting that a trend reversal is in the making.

I don't have a cow.
After all it's Bitcoin.

12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dips below $6600 ,contract trading, the best way to speculation??? on: December 20, 2019, 02:43:51 AM
When you say contract trading I assume you mean leverage trading, through longs and shorts and such.

Anyway, sure! You can short bitcoin on leverage exchanges like BitMEX, and potentially make money when the price drops. If you think it's that easy though? You're wrong. Majority of people trading bitcoin/cryptocurrencies lose their money, and especially when trading on leverage. You might as well go to a casino instead.

Contract trading doesn't mean leverage trading! It means derivative trading which is essentially a contract executed between exchange and the trader where a trader assumes the future price of the underlying assets and locks the contract with the exchange. Read more on the below link,

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/derivative.asp

To op, contract trading is mainly used by the seasoned traders. It is structurally more complicated and comes with a fixed date of expiry. It is definitely a good method of speculative trading only if you know the nitty gritties of it!

Thanks for the explanation!
I am new to contract trading.Currently I am following a relatively friendly exchange for newbies. It is called Bitget.

https://www.bitget.cc/en/

Someone mentioned BitMEX before, but I think it looks too complicated.I think contract trading is more professional and requires a lot of knowledge.
