1  Economy / Speculation / should I buy now? on: January 21, 2020, 12:33:11 PM
I did  buy in bitcoin over a month ago 7k the plan is  to be a long-term hold.  Now I have about 20% more to buy in with, with the prices so high and everything I was going to buy some Altcoins Mainly Ethereum Or more bitcoin.
This Is the hard part of my plan trying to figure out should I just hold onto the cash in my account and see what the prices do?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ethereum 2.0 understanding on: December 28, 2019, 05:04:02 PM
Here’s my question I am somewhat new to this.  When Ethereum 2.0 Comes out will it be the same coin
As Ethereum now just upgraded?
Or is this a separate new coin?
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much bitcoin to buy? on: December 25, 2019, 01:57:49 AM
I recently purchased bitcoin, it was the most I have ever put into a cryptocurrency.
This is going to be a long term buy, This was taken out of stock money,
Now that I have done this I feel more excited about
where bitcoin is headed than  I do about stocks. Now I feel like I should take more out of
Stocks, Feel there’s going to be more return this way. Thoughts on this am I getting carried away
Yeah don't be carried away especially when you have no solid data behind this. Just feeling? Not good. What percentage of your portfolio is currently in crypto? You should adjust it based on your risk appetite.

Bitcoin 3%

Thanks Everyone this has been very helpful, I just wanted to think through it. the next small buy I might by ETHEREUM or litecoin slowly start buying more.
I hope you realize that this is an even bigger risk than Bitcoin. Why would you want to go with ETH or LTC? Why do you want more crypto in your portfolio?

Having different crypto was my main reason.

Or whatever. Right now I’m good with bitcoin. This can be a 5- 10 year move I don’t need the money
For anything now.
Here are the other coins I can buy

Litecoin
EOS
Ripple

I do have a financial plan. I’m actually using the money from Stocks that I was taking risk with.
So this is why I was good with cryptocurrency. I know the risk of it.  I just wonder what would
Be enough in one coin.
Maybe I should spread it around and put it in other coins.

I understand no one would know Where it’s headed. I was just trying to see what the thoughts were on before the beginning of the year because of the way it’s running up.

I’m buying strictly on long-term so I think I’m just going to end up buying no matter what it is. It was in the high 6000s couple days ago but my money did not clear
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin has gone up the past week. on: December 23, 2019, 03:50:02 PM
It has gone up around $800, do you think they could run it up and then I would come down before January 1 before the new year. Or they will not come in to play?  I’m waiting for some money to clear to buy some. And I don’t know right now is the best time to buy

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What cryptocurrency in IRA on: December 20, 2019, 10:15:09 PM
Yes they came out with IRAs in the United States that you can put cryptocurrency’s in them with a custodian holding them. I was really asking if I put 80% in bitcoin, what othercoins from my list Should I put money in for long-term.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What cryptocurrency in IRA on: December 20, 2019, 09:15:07 PM
