1  Other / Off-topic / Is the Google vs Cryptocurrency Battle On? on: December 28, 2019, 02:01:45 PM

YouTube (a video content sharing platform operated by Google), has recently deleted thousands of cryptocurrency related videos on its platform which outraged the cryptocurrency community.

This has brought the attention to Google (parent company of YouTube) who seems to be creating quite a bit of fear, uncertainty and doubts for cryptocurrency users. Here are some popular Google + 'x' = End of Cryptocurrencies formulas being shared around the web today.

#1 - Google + Quantum Supremacy = End of Crypto?
#2 - Google + CitiGroup = The Beginning of FANG's Financial Industry Game?

Do you agree that Google will do more harm than good to the cryptocurrency industry? or are we just getting the formula wrong here?

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Just.Game - a gaming dapp built on the TRON blockchain - Just Another Ponzi? on: December 26, 2019, 12:39:43 PM
Hey there, CryptoWhistle.

If you believe that this is another ponzi or scam attempt then you can post this to scam accusation nor in reputation board, also provide some proof so you could support your claim.

4) Team members remain anonymous and thus, cannot be trusted (even if they were revealed, it still carries far too many risks).
And this is definitely a red flag.

Hello Casdinyard! Thank you for the suggestion. The article linked here is just an honest review piece which does not include any factual evidences; rather opinions. Just felt like it would not be relevant to be posted on the scam accusations board. I am new to this forum and do not really understand everything well as of yet. Is the reputation board a more appropriate place where our reviews can be posted? Thank you in advance.

Upon experiencing the game ourselves so far, we were able to gather the following opinions. Please do not take this as a financial advise but here's something to consider:

1) It is just another ponzi scheme, structured out cleverly in a decentralized manner, using human psychology + economic theories.

2) Technical Risks: (e.g. smart contract hacks - no official full audits have been vigorously tested against this particular smart contract).

3) It is an unregulated and unregistered gambling dapp. By using it, you are indeed, gambling.

4) Team members remain anonymous and thus, cannot be trusted (even if they were revealed, it still carries far too many risks).

Last but most importantly...

5) Justin Sun's personal tweets should not be the sole motivation driving your financial decisions.

Just.Game is a browser-based 'game' developed by a group - or an individual - named Team Just, most popularly known for their decentralized application (dapp) named Fomo3D.

Fomo3D?
"The goal of the game was to purchase the last key before the timer reached zero, whereupon you could win a veritable treasure chest of ether. A heady blend of game theory, mathematics and psychology compelled endless gamers to rek themselves chasing its bounty, with 150,000 Ethereum transactions recorded a day at the title’s peak. Last August a lucky punter hit pay dirt, scooping 10,469 ETH – just shy of $3 million at the time." - Bitcoin.com

Introducing Team Just.
"Team JUST was formed for the only reason anyone competent ever gets into cryptocurrency. After successfully losing everything they had to a “decentralized” scam, Team JUST was founded as an ironic statement about the crushing reality of cryptocurrency investment in 2017. You simply couldn’t trust anyone. Wondering what it would be like if you never had to. Team JUST collected members from hundreds of broken blockchain communities that had suffered similar fates, and made a promise with its first product." - Team Just

They continue by stating that "the only person in charge of financially ruining yourself, should be yourself". Under this notion, they have built various gaming dapps such as "Exitscam.me" "232 Token" "P3D".

Just.game is the latest product the JUST TEAM have developed and it is built on the TRON Blockchain, unlike their previous dapps which were built on the Ethereum Blockchain.

Justin Sun (Founder of TRON) and the official twitter account for TRON (TRX) have been tweeting their excitements over the launch of Just.Game, as it is built on the TRON Blockchain.

It has also been reported that Justin Sun has personally invested about 125 million TRX (valued at ~1.8m USD at time of writing), during the official launch of Just.Game. It has been reported that he was in front of a 'live screen', recording himself investing in the game.

"Accompanied by a 59-page whitepaper explaining its game theory, it’s safe to say Just.game isn’t just another blockchain game. Like previous releases by the meme lords at Team Just, Just.game promises to combine highly addictive rewards mechanisms with just enough randomicity to keep players returning regularly for their dopamine fix. Loot boxes, crowd psychology, and puzzling paradoxes are all thrown into the mix with Just.game." - Bitcoin.com

It is stated on their whitepaper that they wanted to raise 3 questions with their latest gaming dapp, Just.Game:

  • How should society handle autonomous software?
  • Who can be trusted to create this kind of tech?
  • When does this kind of technology become dangerous?

But Just.Game is raising much community concerns over being similar to a ponzi scheme. It seems to have just been smartly worded & designed to keep users entertained.

5  Economy / Scam Accusations / Accusations Against HEX & Founder on: December 23, 2019, 12:55:06 PM

According to CCN, the founder of HEX, was formerly known as ‘Spam King’, who was sued by Peacefire.org for violating Washington state's anti-spam laws back in 2002. The article also states that (name omitted for potential dox) is "linked to a Panama criminal network which included corrupt lawyers and judges". Additionally, it has been reported that he has also "sold anti-aging cures" while he volunteered for the The Methuselah Foundation, an organization committed to extending the human lifespan and "making 90 the new 50".

Now he has created a cryptocurrency - to be exact an ERC20 token - which claims to be “designed to increase in value” and “will replace gold and credit cards”. It is interesting as the founder has written a blog post back in 2017, stating 9 reasons why ethereum is inferior compared to bitcoin. Now it seems as though he is fully embracing the Ethereum Blockchain. His contradictory statements and previous criminal records do not bring any confidence to his claims that HEX will be there to replace gold and credit cards in a few years time.

There are many people such as Tone Vays and Peter McCormack, as well as websites such as (https://www.hexscam.com/), openly criticizing the project to be fraudulent. One of the reasons behind this is because of the lack of transparency revolving around the 'origin-address'.

"Origin address earns a copy of the rewards that other users do. Critics have suggested that Heart stands to gain the most wealth from this — though Heart himself has implied that the origin address is not under his control. In any case, this lack of transparency might be concerning to some." - CryptoBriefing
