1  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2020 Bitcoin halving!!! Bull run??? on: January 01, 2020, 08:41:55 AM
Bitcoin halving surely would be as expected, a new ATH is definitely going to be the case_for me there's no cause for alarm.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin never reaches a new ATH? on: December 28, 2019, 10:55:00 AM
I think Bitcoin would soon reach another ATH and this might be at the time of another bitcoin halving this is because the idea of halving was put through by Satoshi to keep inflation in check, the law of supply and demand as economic theory that explains how supply and demand are related to each other and how that relationship affects price. It's a fundamental economic principle that when supply exceeds demand, prices fall. When demand exceeds supply, prices tend to rise.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fight against Bitcoin is coming. Are we ready?! on: December 28, 2019, 10:19:04 AM
Some countries before now already placed ban on Bitcoin transactions within their locality and this have not even prevented it's compatriots from transacting with Bitcoin and so it's quite clear that restrictions on Bitcoin are usually based on a particular country and would never be global, because of this it'd have little or no side effects on Bitcoin@ Bitcoin will ever be victorious

5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Backing up Bitcoin Wallet on: December 26, 2019, 01:05:33 PM
Having the wallet.dat file is only enough to recover bitcoins if lost that's if it hasn't been compromised in the meantime that's why it's a good idea to encrypt your wallet. If you do encrypt your wallet (and you should, to protect against malware stealing it), then you'll also need your passphrase for the wallet when you want to restore it and reopen it.
6  Economy / Speculation / Ponzi scheme and Bitcoin on: December 26, 2019, 05:09:39 AM
Would the collapse of a Ponzi scheme effect the price of Bitcoin?
Though a hypothesis that the collapse of the Chinese Plustoken, a classic Ponzi scheme similar to bitconnect or countless others affected the price of Bitcoin, this seem to be accceptible although it's unlikely to be the major factor but distribution of stolen funds correlate very well with market downturns.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would a Crypto Based Economy Make Things Safer? on: December 25, 2019, 10:14:14 PM
In as much as crypto ain't gonna make things 100% safer it sure would Increase transparency of transactions
Since all blockchain and cryptocurrencies transactions are automated and digitized, they are all tracked in a ledger and this cannot be manipulated by either people or companies, which largely reduce the risk of fraud and corruption. This means that developing countries also have a better opportunity of entering the financial transactions game and boost their own economy. citizens will be able to keep track of where state funds will be oriented and will thus have a say within their own political climate and when this happens it would be of great advantage to the people.
8  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Canadian Bitcoin Scammer to Face Two Years Jail for $140k Twitter Fraud on: December 24, 2019, 04:34:18 PM
At least justice has been served, but I don't know if two years is enough for this two. I don't know, but I have a feeling that once they got out, they will continue their cyber crimes here.
Ridiculously small penalties if you ask me because punishment should deter the perpetrator from repeating the crime, rather than encourage him to try again, with an emphasis on being more careful next time (not to get caught). If the Canadian penal system is like most others, then brothers will most likely serve only 2/3 of their sentences and will continue to do the same things as before.
The penalty is adequate for me because I perceive it surely would be constitutional, crimes have a stated kind of prosecution and this which the court will always go by.
Come to think of it two years ain't too small, two years out of what so ever one has been into is not so simple it'd also  help bring them to order afterwards.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a global reserve currency? on: December 24, 2019, 10:54:09 AM
I completely agree but only if you take away the reserve. Bitcoin as a global currency. Why does it have to be the reserve currency when it has all the necessary features for a transparent, borderless, and decentralized global currency? And which currency should be the main one? I reckon it will be the US Dollar or the Euro or the Yen? Why does it have to be them when they are lacking in all of the aspects mentioned?
Yeah you're right on point, it's convincing enough that Bitcoin deserves it all not being a global reserved currency but the global currency itself... kudos
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin as a global reserve currency? on: December 24, 2019, 10:28:27 AM
If there would ever be need for a global reserve currency Bitcoin narrative and activities would pop-up, since a soverign-free, algorithm-based alternative would be more stable and trustworthy and perhaps this would be Bitcoin. This goal would soon be actualized especially as Bitcoin is not too volatile and is widely progressing to be used as a universal settlement token for trading, to be used for contracts even between countries, organizations and persons etc.
I believe in the nearest future businesses and sovereign powers will give up their preference for Fiat, and when this happens it would result to Bitcoin earning general global recognition as an international trading currency that embody trustworthy transactions.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: December 24, 2019, 02:56:52 AM
The square measure network impact and evidenced security of bitcoin which is about 88% insurmountable and this makes bitcoin unique over other altcoins.
It’s instructive that almost all coins try and carve out some differentiation supported a lot of smaller use cases, like prediction markets, shopping for things utterly anonymously or adding a suburbanised name server.
Bitcoin encompasses a giant lead as a store of import over each altcoin in having existed eight years while no failure at all. the protection of Bitcoin has been evidenced much more than a lot of younger crypto currencies. And because of this bitcoin will ever be the king of coins for still many years to come.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has gone up the past week. on: December 24, 2019, 02:27:41 AM
Supply and Demand on the provision of bitcoin is compact in two alternative ways. First, the bitcoin protocol permits new bitcoins to be created at a hard and fast rate this will produce situations during which the demand for bitcoins will increase at a quicker rate than the provision will increase, which may come on the worth and in line with this and the festive period my prediction is that bitcoin would go up further within the week.
