Control emotions is Nr1 skill to have as a trader, definitely.

But dont try to eliminate emotions completely, it wouldnt work. We urgendtly need them to experience our environment as a human. Just Know how you react when confronted with external incidents and then train to cope the right way. imo Habits do a really good job when it comes to handle emoitions in an efficient way.

If you know what you do when trading and you are really skilled,I would say almost everything is possible. But you have to decide if you want to pay the price. And of course dont try to double if you are under heavy mental pressure!

Especially when it comes to derivatives it's just a question of leverage respective risk per trade, implied your strategy works well. Knowing what the Kelly Criteria is should help too by achiving this ambitioned goal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelly_criterion

A proven strategy for almost every underlying is a volume based approach to the market. Basically you look for spikes above the average volume of the previous days and then take advantage of that influx of smart money which is indiated by that spike. In my opinion your only chance as a small trader is to follow the Big Boys. Indeed, not all of them are smart but they move the prices long term and initiate new significant trends. That's a fact.

From my experience this strategy works best on a daily basis in single stocks on the long side but it's also worthy in many different markets. Of course you also need to know how to manage a trade in a professional way. The exact entry point could be determined individual but should be done very early after a clear spike occurs. Often you can see good spikes after a company reports truly important news that directly effects revenue or sales which the market didnt expect.

On this site https://coin-flip-trading.com/2019/07/volumen-btc-trading-auf-tagesbasis.html I've discovered a good and comprehensible example trade of this approach trading Bitcoin BTCUSD (scroll down to trade #15).

Sadly it's german but maybe google translate can help out with that.

I tested a lot standard TA tools with popular paremeters involved but none of them came out as reliable. And more often it's even not possible to backtest them seriously anyway.

In some obvious setups To me it's just one option for determining low risk areas in relation to get into the markt with a narrow Stop. But I dont use TA to predict price movements correctly. imo TA is overated massively. You need to find your own special edge to become persistent in the long run.

Was haltet ihr davon:

ich weiß nicht, welchem System das folgt).

Das ist oft das Problem. WÜrde niemals mit viel Geld Signalen folgen, die ich nicht verstehe. Und wenn du das System kennst, weißt du nicht, ob es fundiert ist und verlierst sehr schnell Vertrauen, sobald es zu Verlusten kommt. Copytrading ist imo heikel, wenn es auch hin und wieder Ausnahmen gibt.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to read trading charts? on: January 08, 2020, 04:14:26 PM
Here is my Opinion on reading Price Charts ...

Chart reading dont make sense just for the sake of reading charts. You dont get anything out of it.

Nevertheless charts can help to identify trading opportunities if you know how to use chart reading the right way. The best way using them is as a benchmark to adjust your risk while interpreting ongoing chart information after you opened up a trade.

But it is hindsight interpreting of what ppl were doing in the past. Nothing more!

You are always late when trading charts and have to react instead of acting (just one approach is worse to me: technical indicators). The most trading approaches that are using charts to forecast moves and bet on those forecast to earn money have no significant edge to stay profitable in the long run. You need to spot self fullfilling prohecies and those sometimes appear and sometimes dont.

With a lot of experience in a market niche you can succeed if you have the skill to just focus on that very special setup. But another problem then appears: A lack of opportunity which decreases your overall earnings. More risk per trade is essential when trading the rarest chances.

I use charts for Daily Trading as one part of my strategy but I also mix it up with fundamentals respective volume analysis and in some cases seasonals.

For Intraday Trading you should get bigger advantage when using a proper and institutional linked orderbook/ flow  approach - especially trading stocks. Because it allows you to look deep inside the market in real time not hindsight. Give you the chance to truly anticipate where the smart money is going to position itself. And that's what you want as a small trader: position yourself with the Big Ones.

10  Other / Politics & Society / Re: homosexuality is unnatural nonsense from america on: January 08, 2020, 02:59:32 PM

but most importantly nature has clear homosexual features,

bee and ant states are almost 100% lesbian(feminist homosexuality).

termite states are almost 100% gender neutral.

so american evangelics, if you don't understand nature. or feel threatened by homosexuals, dont talk trash about nature.

I think you don't get the point right: The thread is about humans in particular not other creatures where homo is indeed a natural thing Wink Pls do not compare apples with bananas!
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to double capital in 2 months? on: January 06, 2020, 12:00:10 PM

let me be blunt. NO you can not. because you are putting yourself under a lot of pressure and as a trader you will not be able to cope, and that means making bad decisions one after another and the result is even more disaster and more debt. so try to stay away as long as you are in this state of mind and financial state.

additionally success in trading requires tremendous amount of experience, I don't know you but I am going to guess that based on your posts here you have no experience which is another strong reason why you are going to fail if you start trading.

don't worry this market is not going anywhere. go deal with your debt and other problems and then come back and start building your life from scratch and start small. you can double your capital eventually but not like this.

Very well spoken ...best advice!
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Psychological Mistake of the Beginners Traders on: January 06, 2020, 11:40:03 AM
But, simply adopting method of holding way of trading, you can solve all those mistakes.

I would say it depends on your goals. If you like trading you should do it but when efficiency in investing is your Nr1 goal, the buy & hold approach comes into play.

Also you should keep in mind: With cryptos you dont have any underlying upward current like in the stock market over the last 100 years yet. Stocks reflect at some point more than on another the steady grow in the economy and for good reason, stocks are company share. This is proven and logical. Crypto is a lot more speculative at this time and therefore my standpoint is, cryptos are especially good for Trading short term. High Volatility delivers lot of potential.

Bu you absolutely need to know, what you do as a trader. If not, then Buy & Hold is way better.

Of course it's a valid option to buy and hold some Bitcoins for long term investment anyway. Dont get me wrong!

Cheers...

Thank you for the useful Tips!

TV is great, if it's understood at one point. Even just the charting tool is it worth to work with and it definitely stands out among free tools on the internet (in my opinion).
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons for traders to look at! on: January 05, 2020, 12:18:07 PM
Quote

I think greed and boosted is the same because these are both urging you to trade more and more without thinking. You should need to think first even if you're on fire trading a certain amount of money. You don't need to rush because the more you rush, the more you will lose.

Always remember that greed is a bad thing in trading. Controlling emotions and self-discipline is very basic or fundamental when it comes to trading.

Have you ever thought about the real thing Greed is representing? In my opinion Greed is another form of fear. More concrete: The fear of owning too little of a specific ressource in the future  Wink

So, the main driving force in Trading is and will also be FEAR!

In an Pareto way of live As a trader you have to handle your strongest Emotion, FEAR in the very first place.

5. according to the records , if you find something wrong with your trading logic, fix it

I think that is were the REAL problem for most traders occur. They just dont really know what they actually have to fix. Therefore ideally you need an experienced mentor and good understanding of the Basic Success Principles in Trading. So, dont underestimate that point 5  Wink

16  Local / Anfänger und Hilfe / Re: Ist "diversifizieren" wirklich sinnvoll? on: January 02, 2020, 05:11:22 PM

Cheers ...
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing is wrong with altcoins on: January 01, 2020, 07:16:27 PM
I wouldn't invest in altcoins long term, just for short term speculation. Some serious experts say almost all of AC are doomed because of insecurities or no real inherent value. for sure it's not guaranteed just because some ppl talking bad about AC, I know but I'm trusting my expert and of course my commom sense...
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Help in Trading on: December 31, 2019, 03:56:04 PM
The default "risk adverse" human instinct is to take profits immediately as soon as they see small gains, and to let the losers run indefinitely
in the hopes that at some point the position might reverse...

When you are just starting out in trading, you should focus training your discipline to adapt to counter intuitive techniques that are often necessitated by profitable trading systems, and become aware that in many cases you will need to go against "common sense" and mainstream human inclinations to gain an edge over the competition in order to become a profitable trader...

totally agree on that, well described!

Good luck with adopting those moves ...
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: homosexuality is unnatural nonsense from america on: December 30, 2019, 04:43:59 PM
Hey,

I would say homo is indeed a flaw in human nature of recreation. If it was natural we would not exist! And that's why I dont support the trend of homosexual ppl adopting children.

But I also think "be sexuality" is natural, because it still allows humans to recreate. And I'm convinced a lot of ppl ar "BE" depp inside her feelings but they are too afraid to carry it out.

Have a nice one, cheers ...
