1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: March 29, 2020, 03:02:44 AM
How do you survive in the current market situation?
If the bounty project is no longer profitable, what do you do now?

I have been learning how to trade for quite some time now and I'm becoming good at it. Haven't perfected the trading strategy I have been practicing on but with the little knowledge I have gathered so far, I can open and close trade and profit irrespective of the market conditions.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The success of a project is not the responsibility of bounty hunters alone on: March 29, 2020, 02:56:12 AM
Therefore, bounty hunters should not be blamed if a project fails, rather, the developers should go back to the drawing board and correct whatever needs to be corrected. Better still, they should ensure that they have done what is needed to be done, before coming to present what they have for the crypto community.

Well there are many things that contribute to the downfall of a project and bounty hunters dumping their allocation on the market is one of those things especially when the projects doesn't have enough market buy orders to support the dumps coming from hunters. Hunters are mostly promoters and not Investors so they are responsible for the publicity of the project and when that can't be achievable, they have failed.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is KYC bad for crypto? on: March 29, 2020, 02:49:38 AM
In some cases regulations are necessary to put an end to fraud and corruption in the crypto/Blockchain industry. By requiring KYC compliance on centralized exchanges, the crypto world could become a better place.

I don't think KYC has had any negative effect on the cryptocurrency industy, it's what's best for the industry right now since it prevent laundering of money through exchanges since cryptocurrency is somehow anonymous and they can't be trace but with KYC requirements, it becomes impossible to stay anonymous.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Altcoins not Growing These Days on: January 15, 2020, 11:14:02 AM
There are many altcoin projects which do have the potential to grow but because of the market fluctuations and bitcoin pump and dump, the alts are not able to move up. We may see good future in 2020 and the holders may get their investments back.
If those coins are any good then they will eventually grow you do not need to worry about them but if they are like the thousands of coins in the market that say they are very good only to be proven wrong by the community then you should not expect anything out of those coins and if for some reason that coin begins to go up make no mistake, that will be only because of luck or some pump and dump groups that have chosen that coin to perform their scams.
We need to be more realistic hen we select projects to support, many projects are there not to performed but to scam people with so many broken promises. It's been  said that if there's no real purposes there's no chance of succeeding, it will only moves simply because of manipulations and
will only ends up dying inside the market.

Could it be you're not following the market closely because altcoins has be increasing in price recently. Bitcoin cash and sv increased recently while ethereum has been on a steady increase since the start of the year.  2020 so far has looked promising for the altcoin. The year will be the beginning of a moon market for most altcoins since they'll be profiting from bitcoin success
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 cryptocurrencies to invest in 2020 on: January 15, 2020, 11:02:35 AM
Most of the coins you listed are obvious coins that'll be profitable. I was thinking I'll see some surprise pick but I observe only marker is the coin that isn't well known. My top5 picks will involve bitcoin, and any new projects with valuable contributions to the industry launching anytime soon.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not being sold for $24,000 in Iran on: January 11, 2020, 04:16:14 AM
A rumor sprung to life earlier on Saturday claiming that Bitcoin was selling for $24,000 per unit in Iran. Apparently, the demand for the benchmark cryptocurrency was skyrocketing in the country in anticipation of a military standoff against the United States.

In reality, the business remains as usual in Iran’s homegrown cryptocurrency space with peer-to-peer Bitcoin trading currently hovering around the $7,000s.

I suspected the news was false when I read it, this must be a planned public stunt to create Fomo among the Iranian Investors probably increasing the demand of bitcoin in that region so as to spike the price high as they're reporting in the news articles.

When media platforms report news of this kind (false news) without carrying out thorough investigation of the the news, it makes me question the credibility of the news media. We rely on this platforms to deliver accurate news about the industry yet they act like bloggers that just copy and paste news without verifying the source of the news, it's just shameful journalism.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Easy way to exchange small amounts of Tron to Bitcoin on: January 11, 2020, 04:06:12 AM
Is there any easy way to exchange small amounts, a few dollars of Tron to Bitcoin or Ethereum?

Have you considered trying to trade with other users on the forum? Since the amount you want to trade isn't that much to cover service fees of the platform you intend using, I'll advice you trade with users on the forum instead for faster and less costly transaction.

On the currency and exchange boards, you can find traders who'll be willing to help you out. Although the amount is too small still you can find someone not interested in taking advantage of you but genuinely what to help. Don't go trusting the very first user that contacts you especially newbies. Only trade with trusted individuals.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Saving your private key in your email is a lethal move on: January 11, 2020, 03:57:06 AM
it was my mistake 4 years ago when my email was hacked and hackers got what I saved in that email.
I lost my bitcoin because of that carelessness.
since then I still use the manual method to save by taking notes in a book.
this is the old-fashioned way but it's very safe for me.

And that's the most recommendable way to store your sensitive information but still we have countless amount if Investors storing their information online like email, cloud etc.

The information is out there, anyone doing exactly what they're advice not to do are only doing themselves harm because they'll be the ones to bare the consequences if their emails gets hacked and the sensitive information falls into the hands of hackers. They're just acting out of ignorance. They don't value the coins they have cause if they did, they would had safeguard it like it's a national treasure.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How you can know about bitcoin? on: January 11, 2020, 03:47:14 AM
I was fortunate to know someone who was into cryptocurrency so the moment I picked interest, I had someone who was giving me guidelines. I knew about bitcoin for quite a very long time now but only picked up interest recently.

I got to know about the forum from an article I read from one of the cryptocurrency news media source (suspecting it's coindeck). The article was saying negative things about the forum but still I knew for a forum that has been the backbone of the community, most of those review must have been written just for viewers seek.
10  Economy / Speculation / Does proof of key event have any effect on Bitcoin price? on: January 03, 2020, 07:02:04 AM
So I haven't been that long in the industry and from some articles I read online, I was made to understand every 3rd of January was assigned as a "proof of key" day and the event take place every year and today is 3rd of January but I was trying to observe if that would influence the price of bitcoin but haven't noticed anything extraordinary or am I making a conclusion too soon? For those who have been active in the space for quite sometime, does this event usually affect the price of bitcoin considering most users would likely sell their coins in anticipation of a dip in price.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / So how exactly will the halving of bitcoin block reward benefit bitcoin. on: January 02, 2020, 06:45:41 PM
I haven't understood clearly but have read on different sites on how bitcoin halving automatically means bitcoin price will increase due to fomo and other factors, so my questions goes like this, how exactly will the halving of bitcoin block reward benefit bitcoin, now can this also benefits altcoins, I need details information and will it be advisable to buy altcoins in anticipation of reward that will come to the industry after the bitcoin halving of block reward successfully occurs. Some sites I read indicated that the market in general will benefit from the event based on new Investors that'll pick interest in the industry. I bought into the idea as it looks realistic to me, as the media will contribute to this by spreading the news. What do you think?
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin still bigger in 2019 from all other Commodities on: January 02, 2020, 09:04:49 AM
I read an article some days ago from CNN saying since bitcoin establishments in 2009 it has been the best Investment asset and the best in the last decade. So 2019 has to be no different, we focus on highs of bitcoin without observing the lows. Assuming we were paying attention to the lows we'll understand bitcoin has always been profitable year in year out. The volatile of bitcoin is what make it profitable, it can be low today but in matter of minutes give you 10-30% return of investment and matter of days give you 100% ROI, that's something most assets can't boost off.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong accused projects on: January 01, 2020, 01:20:25 PM
I need lists of projects that were thought to be scam and faced many wrong accusations but in the end still thrive and become successful today, any? I believe not all project that appears to be scam ends up been scam because people suspect them to be

When your project have some shady characteristics you don't blame the community for calling it scam instead you try to prove to the community that their assumption are wrong. Judging the book by its cover is very common in the community since numerous project have used similar technique to scam thousands of users so you don't blame them for employing that strategy to keep them safe or reduce the rate at which this projects scam them.  Your believe is just an excuse as a scam projects will never scam even though the community thinks it's a scam.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My First Rank Up on: January 01, 2020, 10:14:24 AM
No achievement is too small to celebrate, from the rules I understood it requires just 1 merit to be eligible to rank up to the junior member rank but you already have 44 earned merit which prove you do deserve to rank up. Congratulations on this achievement and hope for you to achieve more in due time, I celebrate with you as we welcome ourselves into the new year. If truly today is your birthday as shown on your profile than truely you got triple blessings today, which includes birthdate, rankup date and new year.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Welcome to 2020, the year of cryptocurrency bull market. on: January 01, 2020, 03:13:09 AM
It's 2020 and what a time to be alive, bitcoin halving is around the corner and from history it has always favoured  the price of bitcoin and as altcoins mostly depend on Bitcoin rally to moon, we're in good hands. Try to avoid falling prey to scammers using fake giveaway to steal your coins. Increase your security and store your coins in private wallets not exchange. The market will begin recovery soon, don't be too smart wanting to cashout on every profit you see, it might make you lose future profits. Be patience, believe in the process. Cryptocurrency is the future.

Happy New year to every Bitcoiner and Altcoiners out there, 2020 is a year with numerous opportunities, don't let those opportunities pass you by but still apply caution in every decision you make in 2020. I wish you all a profitable year.
