1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Open Letter to Mybitcoin - Could you please tell me you're not THIEVES? on: June 23, 2011, 09:16:11 AM
I had a similar issue, my password seemed to have changed and I couldn't log in. No email from MyBitcoin. What I had to do was register a second account and use the support system to get in touch with someone. They insisted that my password hadn't been changed by them, which did freak me out a little. However, they did reset my password and my (tiny amount of) bitcoins were all intact.

Hope that helps.

It's the former, the hashes being generated are just there to make mining (variably) difficult.

85MH/s on my main machine (4870), and 60 on my work laptop (FirePro M7740).

I am currently only dealing in small amounts, so the lack of fees and use of GBP means Britcoin is what I currently look at as my primary exchange.

Perhaps the card is just unstable at that clock. Does Furmark or similar run without artefacts?

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison suggests that the 42XX series has no OpenCL support, so you would be CPU mining.

Sorry dude.

Slightly concerning, I don't have a massive amount in there but would rather not loose it. I am assuming your password had been changed/account locked before you got the email?

Does anyone have a contact at MyBitcoin in case I don't get the email?

Thanks

Hi All,

Has anyone received the email from MyBitcoin to reset their password?

UPDATE: For those of you who have an account with an email address on file we may have changed your password if your username matched a known MTGOX account. If your password isn't working, please don't panic. We will send you a new one to your email address

I have not received anything, is this the same for others. Just want to make sure my account has been disabled pending password reset, rather than hacked.

Thanks
