Hi, I want to run my mining script at startup. I'm using Linuxcoin 0.21b persistent on a thumb drive. I put my script file (miner.sh) in /etc/init.d directory and used update-rc to register it. But nothing happen when linuxcoin finished booting. I also tried to put the script in to local.rc but no luck. Please help. I heard there was a limit GPU OpenCL can support depend on OS. OS can detect as many as I plug in. But on Windows, I'm sure 100% I can only mine with 4 GPU. But with Linux, someone said 6, someone said 10 (Ubuntu).

Thank drgr33n I'll try it and report here. But how about my other question: How many GPU LinuxCoin can support? (The maximum GPUs can mine in one Linuxcoin machine?) 6 or 8 or 10?

It stayed the same Did I miss something? I'm using Linux Coin 0.2.1b //BTW: How many GPU LinuxCoin can support? I'm going to plug 7 5850s, now only 5 is ok.

Hi, After I ssh or vnc to my linuxcoin rig, I run aticonfig --odgt --adapter=all or any aticonfig command, the system say: No protocol specified ERROR - X needs to be running to perform ATI Overdrive(TM) commands Can anyone help me?

First, check if ubuntu recognize your card or not: aticonfig --list-adapter If yes, bingo, let's take a look at adapter index. You might be worng when forced the 2nd GPU 3rd index with aticonfig --adapter=3 --pplib-cmd "set fanspeed 0 85" If no, reinstalling the driver may fix it
