1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies on: October 06, 2021, 02:18:12 PM
Hi Andreas,

Quote
1. You can filter almost every report by date. At APIs there could be start date set. Only transactions after this date will be imported. But you need to add all transactions from your transaction history.

So how would i do the following then:
My history with crypto goes back a long way.. A to long way to reconstruct everything.. There was a btce account back then, the account is gone.. and so on.
Since the gains are free after 1 year in my country and the rest is losses.. The "taxable stuff" is at a loss. I forfeit those losses, since it is not possible to go back that of a long time since some exchange like btce are gone etc. I need to have a starting point like 1st of January of 2019 and take it from there.

How would i do this then? Can i manually create a origin deposit/trade myself in the software and start it from there? Because how the taxation works is you start wit a deposit with a date. Then the software calculates buys and sales and with that gains and losses and calculates the "time difference" how many days passed from the start (in case that after a holding period of XX days its tax free).

You have 14 days cancel period like always.

Couldn't find anything on website, is it like no questions asked?

Greetings!

Hello,

a couple of quick questions:

  • Is it possible to start the calculations let's say at 1st of January 2018 and type in a start value for the account balance like 0.18btc. This start value does match the account balance at the 1st of January 2018, but i want to exclude the tx from before?? Or does the does not support a user defined "starting point" and needs to run throug ALL the Txs from the beginning of the account (which is 10 years for some accounts in my case), no matter if this is needed or not
  • If i buy a pro plan it says 3500 tx down it says for 1 Year. So for example if i buy this plan can i use the software for 365 days but make tax reports for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 till i reach the limit of 3500 tx or could i make only a tax-report for 1 year (like 2020) with the max of 3500 tx
  • Is there a money back guarantee and what are the conditions of it? Accointing demands a lot of things to get money back how is it here?

Sorry to say but you are wrong, i use binance daily not verified and I have no problems and my limit is 2btc right now
Oh this is interesting.. Just to understand who tried to withdraw 2 btc or it just showed the message (like my account shows)?

Quote
I have a fully verified old Binance account, so I am not able to tell if it's happening to more accounts or not, but one weird thing I noticed when I was trading on their p2p platform recently is that Regular users (Users who have not verified their KYC) are still able to make orders which ks confusing

Yeah that points in the same direction. I think old accounts are somewhat exemptfrom the new rule..
4  Economy / Exchanges / Old accounts still able to withdraw more on binance or just error of display? on: September 16, 2021, 03:41:33 PM
a couple of weeks ago binance anounced that it reduces the withdrawal limit to 0.06BTC. I withdrew all my funds. Today l looged in again it shows me
for "24h remaining limit": 2BTC.

Now i wonder is it for old accounts (several years old)still the 2 BTC?
Has someone tried this to withdraw from an old account without verification?

Greetings to ya all!

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / What mean those 2 strange number at BitBay verification process? on: April 16, 2021, 02:17:01 PM
Hi everybody,

has anyone here from europe completed the verification process for BitBay?

I really don't know what to type in those 2 numbers:

https://1drv.ms/u/s!AhL9Tt_7-jkNghR3BqWgDBCO94XT

I promise no virus  Grin I don't know why hotmail makes such scary looking links...

I tried some numbers from the id card but they didn't work. Anybody from europe got this done?

Support is not answering for a week - which is a bad sign i know but i somehow need to get my NEUMARK sold...

Greetings!
6  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Why link Dropbox to Trezor for naming accounts? on: March 31, 2021, 02:23:16 PM
i am planning to buy a Trezor? is it now possible to use the Desktop suite for labeling?

Yes. As long as you use Trezor Suite, you can keep the label data locally. You can also use Google Drive if you trust them more for some reason. All the metadata is automatically encrypted with your private key.

So the Trezor Suite takes the private key of my Bitcoin Wallet to encrypt the metadata? So if i have 3 different addresses aka wallet1, wallet2 etc. the names of the wallets tx would be encryptet with private key1 pk2 etc?
or Do you mean my password/Key for the Trezor?

Ist it clear in which folder all that data lies? For migrating to another machine?

And of course i don't trust evil corp Cheesy Moving away from Us services and especially cloud services...
7  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Why link Dropbox to Trezor for naming accounts? on: March 31, 2021, 01:07:09 PM
Howdie,

i am planning to buy a Trezor is it now possible to use the Desktop suite for labeling?
The wiki on the website still only describes Dropbox?? Which i find HORRIBLE/totally unacceptable a US based NSA-approved data silo Huh I would have done anything but that.

Makes me wonder if Satoshi labs is as security/privacy driven as they claim...

i have seen that article,

with "CMC" you mean this here?:
https://www.cmcmarkets.com/en/

Edit: Never mind, found what you mean:
https://cmc.io/exchanges/dflow

Never heard of Dflow as an exchange. Such a legit project and only shady exchanges it is sad Huh
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / OKEX Upbit still alive? And where to trade HBAR on: September 13, 2019, 03:36:40 PM
Helllo all, back after a while,

since Hedera Hashgraph will launch soon and trading starts on Upbit (they say so) and OKEx i would like your opinion on those.

I was surprised about Upbit i thought Upbit was kinda done since there CEO got confronted on fraud charges, but i could register with the site today. But why would they anounce to start trading when deposit and withdrawal is on hold??

So i guess that leads to OKEX (never used that neither). Anyways if anyone heard something about trading hedera on Monday - give it it to me Wink

so long!
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: June 25, 2019, 07:22:24 PM
This project is just pathetic. I started researching this 4 days ago and wanted to figure out whether to invest in MAID, SIA or STORJ.
in the  4 days it was not possible to get an answer to the simple question:

If customers can pay in USD why is it lucrative for Investors to invest in STORJ Coins

A good read about Payment in USD which was already live: https://safenetforum.org/t/storj-screws-their-ico-token-holders-big-time-by-accepting-direct-fiat-payments/12859/9

But what struck me is closed-door/avoid any criticism mentality of the project which in my view is a super indicator for projects you should stay away from.

In the 4 days it was not possible to register an account in their forum. You need admin approval to activate your account. That is something i found pretty strange to be honest, what is the admin checking. I type in a name and an email-adress, there is nothing great to approve to. I even tried it twice in the last days, because i could not believe it - didn't work. Then i went to their reddit and tried to ask my question which was around the lines Could someone explain me why one should hold STORJ tokens? It was nothing aggressive (i didn't even comment on the total wish-washy section in the whitepaper regarding this) just  the question, that since customers can pay in USD what is then the worth of the token. I don't exactly know how reddit works, since i am not to often there, but it seems that i got shadowbanned for this. At least no one can read that question, I just see it as grayed out. I must say never happened anything like in any reddit to me. I signed up in the SIA reddit too and posted about havinissues installing the client, and everything was just normal - no shadowbanning etc.

You can make up your own mind on this.
For me it is clear, what are the nice blue coloured graphics on the STORJ website worth, if the don't have an answer to the qeustion, why the token should hold value?? That is like the first question in Crypto, if you don't have an answer to this: GO HOME. Or in other words:

If a project sees in the question "What is your token good for?" a threat that needs to be censored - one should definitely not invest in it.

The irony that the project wants to be the censorship-resistant decentralized filestorage is just pure gold. )I trust amazon in a heartbeat more than i would trust this closed-doors, do-not-ask-anything-that-could-be-seen-critical project.

How does STORJ compare to SIA
Regarding SIA: the client has its bugs right now, but the dev team is hard as steel regarding tokenomics: No SIA no Service for customers, which makes the value proposition for SIA very clear.. Unlike STORJ which was premined, SIA runs actually a pow blockchain, storage providers are paid in SIA. So SIA is actually a decentralized storage solution and one NEEDS Sia to be able to use the service. Another huge problem with STORJ in my view is that it is pretty centralized: From the 425million coins in circulation 1 Entity the company holds 300 million!! And they give then the rewards out to deleopers (super decentralized /irony off) And they do sell on a regular basis to finance development. Of course this is pressing on the market driving price down (to the actual value 1 STORJ will have: 0).One problem for me with SIA on the other hand is that it is more tailored towards businesses that want to build a cloudservice for the actuall customers. So it is not that easy to use.

Fazit: When i started my research 4 days ago, i was totally open minded. I found decentralized storage an interesting niche and was looking for which project would make the best investment. In the beginning i was - just by feeling - leaning more towards STORJ - which changed drastically. Mainly due to this cult-like avoid criticism- culture, unclear why one should hold STORJ and that it is by construction pretty centralized. All huge red flags... So i still think about whether SIA is a good investment, but in STORJ i will definitely not invest.

Edit: i checked reddit again and my post was deleted.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Why would you hold STORJ on: June 24, 2019, 12:03:31 AM
Why would someone hold STORJ tokens? I am asking myself this more and more.
As a customer to use their service you can pay in USD. So there is no need for this token then??

Is there a good writeup about the tokenomics of the Storj network?

12  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Has someone filled out the new verfication questions for Bitstamp? on: May 27, 2019, 01:30:39 PM
I see it totally the same, but i want to use Bitstamp as my bridge from FIAT to Crypto and want to keep it for a while.

Why Bitstamp? Why not Kraken? More choice and a flawless security record.

I verified with Kraken in 2015 ish. Proof of address and ID was uploaded through their site. It was accepted a few hours later. They gave me clear limits. That was it and has been it ever since. I've run plenty of money through since without a squeak.

Ah Kraken i never registered and forgot about them... Ja maybe i'll give them a go and try it out...

Quote
It's Bitstamp's mystery triggers and unacceptable demands for further intrusive information that turned me off them for good. Either you're verified or you're not. Don't dick around somewhere in the middle.
Ja totally annoying... Its like with Poloniex.. Every year the come up with something new...
13  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Has someone filled out the new verfication questions for Bitstamp? on: May 27, 2019, 01:14:57 PM

..
I'm signed up there. I'll never put another penny in there again because of bullshit like that.

Its easy to trade crypto againgst crypto. But for Europe the only legit exchange trading FIAT vs Crypto is Bitstamp. FIAT vs Crypto is a bit of a problem and has ever bin.. In the old days you needed to put up with Scammers like Mark and nowadays its not Scammer but more and more inquisitory questions...
14  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Has someone filled out the new verfication questions for Bitstamp? on: May 27, 2019, 01:11:40 PM
Sorry, but why would your net worth be any of their business? My bank, my insurance provider, even the government don't know my net worth - why does a crypto exchange need to know? Just another exchange going over the top with ridiculous KYC requirements.

I would suggest finding a new platform on which to buy and sell crypto.

I see it totally the same, but i want to use Bitstamp as my bridge from FIAT to Crypto and want to keep it for a while.
But you are totally right, more and more the crypto sphere adopts the stuff from old banking which is a bit scary (fear that answering the questions makes something worse).

Anybody knows how the process continues? Uploading documents?
15  Economy / Exchanges / Has someone filled out the new verfication questions for Bitstamp? on: May 27, 2019, 11:45:47 AM
for Europe Huh

They ask a lot of questions which might lead to restrictions to trading - like "you shouldn't trade so risky assets if you don't have enought wealth" (like in traditional bankin):
- annual income?
- net worth?
- Source of income?

That is a bit bothersome to be honest. Has someone filled this formout? What they ask on page 2?
I don't know if i want to start this, who knows to what this will lead to, if it goes awry account blocked?

Any experiences what are good numbers to type in, do you need to upload documents, do they call you?

Greetings!
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Can not login to liqui io emails to slow on: March 05, 2018, 02:48:37 PM

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NEU] 🚀🚀 Neufund. Community-owned Equity Token Platform. 🚀🚀 on: March 01, 2018, 12:17:19 PM
I was just writing my answer and thanking your for clarifying, then you wrote this

Quote
Ok, I hope this will finally clarify your doubts.
- you commited 1K Euro during ICBM. This funds are whitelisted
- platform opens and you send another 2K for the investment. This is not whitelisted
- you can choose which money you want to put in the ETO:
   - you dont have to invest 1K from the ICBM first. You can keep it for the ETO that you choose or withdraw it in the future if you like.
   - you can firstly invest your new 2K and still keep 1K whitelisted
   - whitelisted is always only 1K from the ICBM but it might be spend later than new money you put on the platform - everything you add is with the same right as all other

Ok that answer is even better now everything makes sense, that really nails it down that one can bring in new money but keep the old whitelisted.. and so forth.

Quote
We plan first ETO to be 7-8 digits, more than 1 mio, from a well established company with solid product, team and user base

Ok so between 1 and 99 million thats a bit vague i was more hoping for an answer if it --in all likelihood-- will be below the 12 mill that you collected (so new investors can join) or at or above. Than the first ETO is more the first investors  and i don´t have to stress to much to get in then its more the 2nd ETO or so...

But i understand if you can not tell. In all cases thanks for coming out and taking time to clarify !
Awesome IR! Mean it..

I now feel that its the right idea, team, communication and that this can become a huge success, you are the new german "new market"!

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NEU] 🚀🚀 Neufund. Community-owned Equity Token Platform. 🚀🚀 on: March 01, 2018, 11:24:39 AM
@rudolfix: Thanks for answering.

but now i read this:

Quote
ts say the first ETO successfull, Gina invested her 1000€ in the SUPER CORP. Now comes the 2nd ETO the EVEN BETTER CORP. She likes it so she sends another 1000€ and bids for the 2nd ETO. Does this 2nd batch still have first look rights or is she processed in the qeue of investors who didn´t partake in the ICBM on a first come first served basis like everybody else. Or to put it another way do investors that partake for e.g. 1000€ in the ICBM have a lifetime first look right to invest 1000€ in every ETO there is (given that they "reload" the capital every time) or is it only the original capital that partook in the ICBM that has firstlook rights ? Then againg i don´t need to bother with NEU to long since the first 12mill have "unbeatable" adavantage

Currently ICBM participants are whitelisted only for the money they commited. If the want to receive new NEU they they can use new funds and keep their whitelisted for further investment.  (response was fixed due to the wrong information in the previous version - clarified in the post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2335433.msg31322774#msg31322774).

what means "new funds and keep their whitelist for further investment" Huh Huh Back to unlimited again??

Could you come up with a precise as possible answer for my question from the last post:

Quote
So to REALLY clarifiy this: lets say investor x invested during the ICBM 1000€, he invests them in the 1. ETO (for this he has first look rights which is ok).
Could you explain what "happens to his first look rights regarding the future"? Lets say he sells his shares of the first ETO, does he then have for the next ETO for 1000€ again first look rights  (since he sold on another plattform the ETO shares) or not? My question here boils down  to the point if first look right is basically a 1 time right (You can fire your 1000€ one time only and thats it for eternity) or if after you sold your ETOs, or a certain period of time for example you can use the 1000€ again for the next ETO? That´s still unclear to me even with the corrected answers.

And i would like to add to my question from last paragraph: or does he have for every new ETO first look right for 1000€?

And one more thing while we are at it: What would your guess be is the first ETO more Micro, like 1mio € or more in the direction of 10mio or more.
I know you have no crystall ball and it depends on the future but what range of projects do you guys see yourself in, at least for the start....

Thanks!

No "new money" is whitelisted and it does not matter who holds the funds - "old investors"'s "new money" is not privileged in any way (in other words we give first look right to funds not people).

Huge relieve!!

Quote
but this means "forever for icbm funds - until you spend them" not "forever for certain investors".

So to REALLY clarifiy this: lets say investor x invested during the ICBM 1000€, he invests them in the 1. ETO (for this he has first look rights which is ok).
