1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hotbit exchange is Proven Scam on: May 04, 2021, 10:57:44 PM
Well, I see, not all altcoins can be listed on Binance. By the way, I think we should just use it at a certain point and get out of there right away. It's unlucky for users who have properties there. But surely someone still considers it as their regular exchange.
On the other hand, are exchanges really vulnerable to hacking? Sometimes when an exchange notices being hacked, many people assume they are defrauding customers and taking customers' money.
I think they see a lot of accusations so they think they are vulnerable to hacking or can say they often withhold customer money hence the mentioned exchange has a shady exchange.
Against all exchanges will definitely be incessant against hacking, including currently hotbit is experiencing hacks currently even suspended in the next few weeks to restore, but is there anyone here who is still safe with their funds?
Well, here I am concerned about a vulnerable exchange with hacks.
I believe that the more profit the exchange generates, the more it will be able to invest in security, so I don't believe that these exchanges have really been hacked, for me all this is a movement to steal users or something else that I don't know, I think I'll never know
2  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hotbit exchange is Proven Scam on: May 04, 2021, 10:53:30 PM
it's confusing that there are always people who use small and shady-looking exchanges.
Its not that some people wanted to use those exchange. I myself using hotbit before, cause some of my tokens haven't listed on those big exchange like Binance and I have no choice sometimes since the volume is more bigger on hotbit compared to some exchange such as dex where it wss listed. There are excuses to using it even for me I know its not a good exchange. Just lack choice sometime.
That is not a good choice so you have to choose the Hotbit exchange, sometimes we get airdrop or bounty tokens that are often listed on low exchanges like Hotbit so we inevitably have to exchange them there so this is our choice at that time.
I for day trading or long term I do not choose Hotbit because I see many cases occur, but to sell tokens for a moment for me this is no problem even with a few withdrawals, and this is often said to be a shady exchange.
this is very true, the listings on large exchanges are very expensive, so the teams end up at first listing their projects in smaller exchanges
3  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hotbit exchange is Proven Scam on: May 04, 2021, 10:50:11 PM
therefore, current constraints may stem from this problem.
I'm not sure whatever's happening with Hotbit is the reason for OP's dilemma.  It looks as though Hotbit either doesn't know what it's doing with the coin in question or is simply jerking OP and the rest of those people around.  And I haven't a clue as to what the truth is, but I suspect we'll know soon enough as to whether this is an exit scam or a real hack.

I haven't searched, so I'm going to ask:  is there a lot of information available about Hotbit, e.g., where they operate out of?  They seem like a small, unregulated exchange that can probably just run off with everyone's money without any regulatory body trying to track them down....but I could be wrong.  I'm hoping for the best for their customers' sake.
I think it is not, because my post was created before the alleged hacker

Guys, be careful with your funds if they are on the Exchange Hotbit, they scammed the CashHand Project

The CashHand project was listed on the Exchange Hotbit, so we need to make a swap, the Exchange Hotbit asked us for the new 12 787 currencies, so we sent it right away,
after that, they simply kept their wallet containing the new currencies open, thereby generating multiple staking so that the balance was divided into several 'inputs'
(we don’t have all the prints because we didn’t know it would happen)
https://hotbit.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500005278722-Announcement-Regarding-Hotbit-closed-CHND-USDT-trading-pair-on-March-29th-2021

With the balance of the wallet divided into several 'inputs' this ended up limiting the amount of withdrawals in a normal way, forcing them to use the' coin 'control' in order to withdraw certain amounts.
apparently they didn’t know how to use coin control so we had to teach them several times,
after many attempts on our part to solve the problem, they wanted us to send 12 more 787 coins to them, but we could not do that because we were not sure if they would return the first 12 787 coins that we had already sent before.
so we decided to teach them how to generate the private key for the entire wallet, so they could send it to us and then we would put the balance divided into a single address to solve the big withdrawal problem, and then we would send the coins back to them

after many days waiting for them to resolve this situation, the community started to get impatient, so we decided to ask them about the matter, they always asked us to be patient because they would solve it, but in the end nothing was resolved, so we started to question them day after day but we never got any answer, until they deleted the group, and removed our project from their exchange without giving us any explanation

acho que do ponto de vista emissão, Bitcoin está bem centralizado hoje em dia, só podendo ser minerado por fazendeiros de mineração, já não é mais uma criptomoeda acessível para todas as classes da sociedade. é uma pena!

CashHand released its latest version 2.0 with the ability to cold staking.
cold staking allows a person to delegate their staking power to another wallet, but one that is not connected to the internet to keep coins safe and secure in an offline wallet. At the same time, an empty online wallet is connected to the offline wallet and earns rewards for it. This empty wallet can stay online 24/7 without running the risk of being hacked.

As keeping a wallet running all the time is not suitable for most people, either due to the cost of running a computer all day long or a bad internet connection, this is done via a VPS (virtual private server), which is rented. As running a wallet on a rented VPS increases the risk of coins being lost or hacked, cold staking can attach an empty wallet to a VPS to earn the rewards for them, all the while keeping their coins secure in an offline wallet, also known as a cold wallet.

There are benefits and drawbacks to this approach. For instance, if the stakeholder moves their coins out of cold storage, they won’t receive the rewards. But it is useful for stakeholders with a large sum of money who want to guarantee protection of their funds while supporting the network.

The CashHand Team has prepared its own server that is online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so that CashHand users can carry out their stakeouts.

The cold staking CashHand feature is very easy to set up, just follow the tutorial below.
