I do not know how any person working on customs can come into possession of a shipment that was sent to someone unless the same shipment is seized for some reason? If something fell into your hands, in a specific case I do not see that it could have happened in a legal way.

I cannot claim with complete security, but if something was seized by customs, then there is something wrong with those goods. It is very likely Chinese copies that someone tried to smuggle into the EU, and such things are usually destroyed. Even if it were originals, would you buy a device that has no warranty?

Yes this is what I had in mind.

If I buy 1 or 2 iPhones I want :

An escrow (someone trusty) receives the phone.
Open the phone, put a dummy iPhone login and password.
Ensure this is an apple product and NOT a Chinese copy.
If all good, he sends you the BTC and then he reships the phone to me.

Because, why would I send money to someone on the internet that just created a profile and claims he has iPhones to sell.

If you are willing to send one phone first to me without escrow we can do business.
I can show you a proof of funds (sign a message from an address that has $1000 worth of BTC).

And if I didn't fulfill my part of the bargain, I am sure that all the other members of the forum would tag me as a scammer.
