1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Neutron (NTRN) - V2.0 MANDATORY, Education Platform is live. on: December 09, 2017, 03:43:02 AM
I just found this project, if I understand it correctly then Neutron is a wallet to hold BTC and while holding it will automatically increase BTC holdings through PoS, but how does this work in reality? Is it that NTRN is PoS and the returns of staking NTRN are automatically converted to BTC somehow? Bitcoin is not proof of stake afaik and therefore I dont really understand it how this works. Hopefully someone can explain it to me.

It works more like the lateral. You buy neutron with your btc then you take your earnings  your "stakes" and then ether hold to stake more or sell them for btc.
As well you could run a masternode with 25k neutron and gain even more neutron than just staking while helping the network.
The wallet does not hold any btc it only holds neutron, as neutron value goes up your profit per stakes will increase making you passive income.

Those of you running multiple nodes we ask that you close your masternodes, and consolidate your NTRN into one wallet stake and await the 2.0 download
This is imperative to NTRNS future
Please spread the word anyway you can
V 2.0 is impending

Hello guys. Anyone has a guide on how to set up masternode on VPS? Or at least how to compile the wallet from source? Thanks a lot.

This should get you going

I have installed a masternode on Ubuntu Linux, and it is working great!

Do you know how to withdraw the earnings from the masternode without removing the collateral of 25,000 Neutron?

Is there a "special" way to do this?

First you need to enable coin control. It is hidden in the settings of your wallet. click on Settings->Options->Display and then tick the box next to "Display Coin Control Features".

With coin control enabled, you will find a new button called "Inputs" in the send screen. Click on it and you are presented with all addresses that hold coins.

To withdraw your dividends only, ensure to only tick the checkboxes that correspond to dividends. Do not tick your collateral amount (the amount you used to create your Masternode). That way you ensure that your masternode stays up after the withdrawal.

When you are finished ticking checkboxes, go back to your "send" screen. You will find that the Amount you can withdraw has been filled according to the amount of boxes you ticked.

As you know each transaction requires a fee to be paid. In order to withdraw the right amount, right click on the amount in "After Fee". A menu pops up to "copy after fee" which is what you want to do.

As a last step, paste the amount into the amount field. It will populate with the correct amount. Enter the address you want to withdraw to and click send.

Dev team, any update on new wallet release for windows? While I like the income return on masternodes, the wallet freezes. This is happening on 2 machines with plenty of power to spare ( i7 quad, 16GB ram, plenty of HDD space )

Ok everyone i have to work to do on github, block explorer and seeds and dns will be live on monday

I have to make changes to the github push new code, merge, fetch, etc,, after that is done wallets will be compiled and ready for distribution

All so i would try to delete the debug file restart wallet then change debug file to read only.

Anyone have any ideas why NTRN has gained a lot of volume (http://imgur.com/a/DUc3h) in the last month? It seems there haven't really been many new developments. Not that I'm complaining Tongue

Neutron is gaining volume and interest because it does exactly what it is suppose to do. No gimmicks, unnecessary features and definitely no pump and dump scam. Although we are a small team and may not have updates as fast as other coins we are working hard to bring you a solid staking
coin. With a minimum of 7% staking return annually with little effort. There will be a wallet update very soon which we will announce when we get a definite release date as well as a roadmap for those who were asking for one. Please follow us on twitter @Neutron_Crypto and like us on facebook
@NeutronStake for updates.

Having Multisend would really round things off. Will this be included in the update?

the next wallet update will not include multisend

Also could someone please go over to the old neutron nucleus wallet thread and tell the people that are posting there to come over to this thread,,I do not watch the old neutron threads and I do not have links or time to search for it at the moment, as I am at work doing a music festival and I'm only mobile with my phone.
I was informed there are people posting over there looking for stuff that's over here,,

Would someone please find that thread and direct it here?

What ever happen to John Titor? The time traveler.

How many people in the community listen to Coast to Coast Am with George or the older show with Art Bell?

It depends on what you consider work. Growing food and making shelter is more of a necessity than say organized labor for each individuals survival. In my opinion the population would be much smaller most would die of starvation and disease. That's kinda the main reason we work now to bond together for a sole propose of advancement and survival.
