sorry, just to clarify, am thinking about bticoin or other crypto-coin to support contact-tracing

see this org that is doing something similar https://www.pepp-pt.org/   .... but isn't open source so i cannot tell if using backend of crypto, and if so, which crypto coin

idea of contract tracing is to use proximity of one mobile phone to another to indicate if two poeple have been in contact  .. then if  later found out that one of those people got covid, you notify the other person that they might have been exposed (go and hibernate)

question about privacy (maybe i am having an affair, dont want contacts to be revealed) etc.

cellular data, bluetooth, gps gives phone locations and phone proximity to other phone

to track if user1 and user2 met in recent past they both need unique id and a ledger of when (and where) they got within proximity

if ledger is public, then various vendors can access it, will have higher value of trust , rather than a private firm storing that data and selling it off

hi

are there any applications that use bitcoin infrastructure to help tackle covid19?

am thinking about application for contact tracing (to detect who has been in contact with an infected person),  requires each user to have a unique address and interactions between users to be recorded and made available publicly

system needs to be trusted, and have some level of anonomous
