4  Economy / Speculation / Re: How Long Should You Hold Bitcoin for a Passive Income on: September 09, 2025, 10:24:03 AM
Sell and re-buy? When we talk about passive income with bitcoin, it's because you've reached a level where you don't have to repurchase. Since you gave that example, I'll give you another: you bought 1,000 bitcoins more than a decade ago, and with your lifestyle, you only need 1 bitcoin a year to live (at current prices). All you have to do is click twice when you need to sell.
The amount of your illustration is too huge, it's not able to be achieved by Average Joe. I think someone in this forum might have 1K Bitcoins, but what's the point to discuss a high privilege person to low privilege people? the high privilege person trying to show if it's possible to be achieved by low privilege people, when the reality it's not.

In your illustration, you have 1K and you only use 1 per year, which mean 0.1%

While in @OP illustration, he have 1 and sold 0.1 at the first year, which mean 10%.

If someone can live comfortable in a year by selling 0.1% from 1 BTC (0.001 BTC), then yeah they can treat Bitcoin as a passive income because they don't need to do anything to live comfortable.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFTs Still Relevant in This Market? on: September 08, 2025, 06:27:27 PM
NFTs already dead since few years ago, only fools believe in NFTs.

So many people creating a simple and effortless art, then list to NFTs marketplace, however the demand isn't as high as the supply, so it's full of people who want to sell their NFTs over people who want to buy NFTs.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Education and rural-urban migration on: September 08, 2025, 06:23:55 PM
I must add, expenses are more in city compared to village for obvious reasons but the salary increase was high enough to outweigh the con of expenses increase.
Unfortunately not all expenses in village is smaller than in city.

Sometime the expenses in village is much more expensive (I'm talking about primary needs), it's because the cost of transportation is expensive. Not to mention cultural thing in village is strong, many cultural tradition make you have to spend money even though it's not important at all.

Village is cheaper if they grow their own foods.
7  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] SnapSwap.io | Instant Crypto-to-Crypto Exchange | Low Rates, Low KYC Risk on: September 08, 2025, 06:04:57 PM
@OP it's not allowed to make consecutive post, if you want to reply to many users, compile it into one post.

We are also in discussions with our liquidity partner to gain direct access to their AML APIs, which will allow us to align our checks more closely with theirs and further reduce this risk. But possibility that they will agree is low.
So in short, our AML checks strongly reduce the chance of a freeze, but we prefer to be transparent that the risk cannot be eliminated 100%.
Well that means the problem are on your side I guess?

It's like whenever someone send coins to your site, you use two independent compliance checking solutions which evaluate whether the coins aren't high risk and high risk right? you should be able to evaluate the coins as strict as possible, so the liquidity partners won't flag the coins since you already flag them in the first place.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Importance of Cannabis Sativa on: September 08, 2025, 05:41:23 PM
This is nothing new in my country.

Cannabis Sativa is completely forbidden in my country, but the government and police having this business.

The boss pay a good amount of money to government in order to make them allow Cannabis Sativa, then they sold to people who want. They use couriers who get the Cannabis Sativa from the boss to send to the consumer, however the boss are working together with police to catch some of the couriers.

Why most countries not allow Cannabis Sativa? because it will harm the boss, government and people who working in this business.
9  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ✨ Introducing ACEB.com – Your Go-To Platform for Crypto Gift Cards ₿ 🎁 on: September 08, 2025, 05:00:11 PM
Welcome to the forum, ACEB.com

I think it's better to show the list gift cards in smaller size, instead of only show 9 gift cards per page. There are so many gift cards in your site, like 1K-2K, so the customer need to click next page endlessly.

You might be true for not sharing bank details, but asking this question is big L for privacy.

10  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] 🍄 XMR.CARDS: Buy gift cards with Monero (2000+ brands) | NO KYC | TOR on: September 08, 2025, 03:41:17 PM
Service fee is 1% to 5% for most brands, we also offer discounts (that means you pay less than card face value instead of fee) for some brands. Some specific cards (e.g. top-ups) may have higher fees due to issuance costs.
I see, it's make sense though.

The fee for brands is cheap because their products are expensive in the first place and they also want to attract people to buy their products.

However, for top-ups it's 1:1 with fiat value.

Does you're still get profit if you offer discounts rates? I think it's better to have a special place to promote the discounted gift cards because people like cheaper price.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: How Long Should You Hold Bitcoin for a Passive Income on: September 08, 2025, 07:26:54 AM
The profit we got from selling Bitcoin is a capital gain, not passive income.

If you have to make analysis, making a plan when to buy, sell and re-buy Bitcoin, you're a trader which spent time for making money, not just sitting on your bed and you're still earn.

If you only rely on Bitcoin to fund your life, sooner or later you will lost all of your coins.

I consider staking is a passive income, if you invest in stock, dividend is the passive income.

12  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CoinScore – Transparent Crypto Scoring Tool (MVP) on: September 07, 2025, 05:23:15 PM
Your site is still buggy, first I get the scores of Bitcoin and Ethereum, then after I search other tokens and want to see Bitcoin and Ethereum it show the same error message.

Anyway what criteria do you use to get those news? I use ChatGPT using this prompt "list top 5 developer news about Bitcoin in 2025", but the sources I get is different with you.

13  Economy / Economics / Re: what are the best ways to save cost? on: September 07, 2025, 05:08:20 PM
one of the possibilities is just trying to avoid spending money on unnecessary things like spending money on women and girls, most men will pay money just to have a woman, if we can possibly avoid giving women and girls money for relationship then we can actually cut our expenses.
Bro speak the fact. Tongue

Many men are trapped in this hole because they're lonely, although lonely is really hard to solve, but those men need to learn by themselves. Once they don't have any money anymore to give to the women they love, they will see the reality.

Many people like to spend for unnecessary thing.

Anyway since @OP might be a woman, get ready if you get harassment. Cheesy

Welcome to the forum.

I'm surprised you have so many gift cards selection for my country because on other gift card services, they only offer few items.

The fee is around 5%-15%, quite high, but that's a price to pay for privacy, it's worth it.

Wish you success.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Welcome to IZI.EXCHANGE – Your Fast & Easy Crypto Exchange on: September 07, 2025, 04:02:05 PM
Why do I get 404 error after click your AML/KYC rules? https://www.izi.exchange/en/rules/aml-kyc-policy-1733491721075/

I think you need to replace it with this link https://www.izi.exchange/en/rules/aml-kyc-policy/

I read so many requirements if someone undergo extra KYC verification if your exchange flag the account, like photos and videos. But this one is different, it's new for me. Shocked

Quote
If a transaction or received funds are subject to AML (Anti-Money Laundering) review and require additional verification, technical handling, or legal support, the service reserves the right to charge a fee of up to 3% of the transaction amount to cover related costs.
16  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] SnapSwap.io | No-KYC Instant Crypto-to-Crypto Exchanges on: September 07, 2025, 03:50:10 PM
Again, a so called privacy oriented exchange have a rules to ask KYC whenever they want.

Since not all high risk coins will be refund (possibility of get asked to provide KYC), people have to be careful.

I'm sure this site https://www.snapswap.eu/ was your inspiration to create your exchange, the design is quite similar and the name is same, although them and your project are different.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: View about Investors of Spot Bitcoin ETFs on: September 07, 2025, 05:25:18 AM
My opinion most people invest who invest in ETFs are baby boomers who not trust in digital thing.

Younger generation should be prefer centralized exchanges over ETFs because as you said ETFs charge annual fees, while centralized exchanges make your coins to grow through staking.

Since you don't want to self custody your coins, you pick a correct firm which is Fidelity, they have their own self custody. If you pick other firm, you're trusting your coins with Coinbase.
18  Other / Archival / Re: Seeking Real-Life Experiences on Bitcoin Security Measures on: September 07, 2025, 04:37:55 AM
I think this depends on your real life.

Have you ever got hacked or phished on other social medias/sites/forums? personally I have never had this experience. But, usually I see my friend Facebook and Instagram accounts get hacked, lost all contact in WhatsApp, their mobile banking/e-fiat drained etc.

If you never had this experience, I think you're a person who have a high suspicion and not likely fall to old school scams, which probably if you have Bitcoin, you will be safe.
19  Economy / Reputation / Re: Imposter's in Nigeria(Najia) Board on: September 06, 2025, 06:47:41 AM
The forum not forbid for someone to post more than one local board, if someone can speak 5 languages and post in those 5 local boards, it's allowed.

I don't think such people can be called as "imposter" when they understand the language and can connect with the local users.

Also the forum have no rules for someone who spread false information, someone can claim they bought a house using x amount of Bitcoin and no one can know whether it's true or not. This same to someone claim they're from Nigeria, but no one exactly know if he's really born in Nigeria.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Education and rural-urban migration on: August 29, 2025, 02:19:45 PM
Sad thing is, we do not actually need to be a world that is so stuck to certain areas.

If you look at each nation, and I mean like literally all of them, you could realize that most populated areas are populated because of bad planning.
That's the mistake by government, not anyone else.

Think as a person who live in rural area, you will love to move to urban area, either to satisfy your desire or seeking better job.

Think as an investor/businessman, you won't invest your money in rural area because it's lack of customers, rural area only good for certain businesses.
