1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Eplus Coin - The World’s First Entertainment-Based Digital Currency! on: May 11, 2020, 04:29:02 PM
Dear EplusCoin Community,

We (EplusCoin holders) have decided to swap EplusCoin to a new Blockchain and give EplusCoin a new use case. We have to do this because the initial Developers are not working on EplusCoin anymore and we don’t want EplusCoin to get delisted from Stex.

We already hired a developer which is working on a new App for EplusCoin, you can find more infos in our new Bitcointalk ANN.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 07, 2020, 10:17:33 AM
What do you guys think about the collateral to other altcoins like dash or ether? When monero is something special why the price of most altcoins move at the same time?

Price of most altcoins move the same at the same time only until they dont move the same anymore.   If more people use a coin i have to reflect to the price. Such event happened in August 2016. Now transactions growth is more steady but at some point price will follow.
I think we all know transaction growth can be easily faked

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is the best to earn more? airdrop or bounty? on: May 03, 2020, 09:58:32 AM
Most of the airdrops are fake today so I dont find any comparison between them. If you participate in the bounty by doing proper research, then it is possible to earn a large amount of income, which is not possible by airdrop in any way. If you participate on 100 airdrops you will get something from the maximum 2/3 airdrops...
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does it have volume ? on: May 01, 2020, 11:58:08 AM
Volume is very important when it comes to cryptocurrency trading. Coins with high trade volume seems to have more better reliable price than those with low trade volume. Again, coins with really low trade volume are mostly scam coins or eventually turns out to be shit coins.
If I see a coin rising by the rate you said 40-60x , then honestly, I wouldn't regret at all if I didn't invest on those coins. That is some clear sign of manipulation taking place. I would instead be glad I didnt invest, since I am pretty much sure I wouldn't be able to sell the coins back later.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MY BLOCKCHAIN WALLET WAS STOLEN 0.39070099 BTC !!! on: May 01, 2020, 11:49:17 AM
Never use these online wallets, always use a wallet which u download and where u hold the privat key / seed. Make sure to create your wallet offline so risk to get hacked is way smaller.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I fail in trading on: April 28, 2020, 10:37:38 AM
I remember when I was trading in the past I always have a very bad decision making when buying and selling my target investment in trading which resulted to multiple losses... I scratch my head when I lost especially if I get in a position to trade where hype is going on. Thats the time I stop  putting money quickly and I always search now. Information is very important for me now because it's hard to trade with emotion getting in my way.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have some funds to invest-- How do I make a good decision? on: April 27, 2020, 10:53:48 AM
Put something to Bitcoin . If you're planning to divert your investment into parts, make Bitcoin the largest among all the other investment you will put your money at. I would advise you to invest in XMR and you could try also investing in DGB if that seems to work for you.
This isn't what you can call "good decision", because it pretty much ends up with your strategy whether it'd be day trading or long-term trading. Just stick to the obvious like buy at low and sell at high.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than your bank! on: April 27, 2020, 10:35:35 AM
I strongly agree that bitcoin is better than a bank. I like bitcoin because it keeps my privacy, and it's very easy to do
transactions with bitcoin. The most important thing is that bitcoin can make a profit. Unlike a bank whose technology is too
old, it is not suitable to use right now. And the most terrible is the product of the bank, there is nothing as profitable as
bitcoin. Many governments are now corrupt and want to enrich themselves, in my opinion that's the main reason they
refused bitcoin until now...
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Check list before depositing in any crypto casino. on: April 24, 2020, 12:12:08 PM
I would recommend to stay away from all online Casinos, the houese (owner of the Casino) always wins.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 26 days to the halving left, what are you expecting? on: April 24, 2020, 12:04:36 PM
i read a piece somewhere were analyst are expecting the price of btc during this halving to go as high as $20k, speculative and a possibility because of the crash in oil, probably some people might want to make a different choice of investment, but with this current situation, will people rush in to invest or they will want to wait for the pandemic crisis to be over and there is normalcy in the economy!
anyways, am just looking forward to halving, hoping for the best and expecting a no rise in price situation.
always be carefull with these "analyst", if they are long they will tell you price will go up, if they are short they will write that price will dump...
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it safe to claim the free Hex coins - I know Hex is a ponzi scam on: April 22, 2020, 12:08:50 PM
I know that Hex is Richard Heart's scam coin, so I wanna dump it on him. The airdrop requires you to sign a transaction with your electrum wallet to get the Hex coins transferred to your ether wallet. Do you guys know if it's safe is there any risk of losing my BTC or maybe he's just collecting bitcoin addresses to track them?

It's this in case you haven't heard of it.

If u claim them make sure to move your BTC to a new wallet with a new Privat key, if you do it like this, u will be pretty safe.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap or Coingecko? on: April 22, 2020, 12:02:11 PM
Defently Coingecko, CMC is full of fake volume exchanges like Hitbtc, the worst thing that they not only fake volume they fake liquity too...
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 26 days to the halving left, what are you expecting? on: April 20, 2020, 10:18:09 AM
Let's talk about the facts we know.

Bitcoin miners are currently receiving 12.5 Bitcoins per successful block produced. Which would translate to roughly $87 000 if they were to instantly sell the Bitcoins at the current price ($7000) at the time of this post (April 20, 2020).

Let also take into consideration the costs of mining. One article states that miners roughly spend $4500 in costs per 1 BTC mined. So their total cost of producing a news block would come to $56 250 with the
total earnings of $87 000. The end result is $30 750 profits.

Current reward: 12.5 Bitcoins
Total earnings: $87 000
Total cost: $56 250
Profit: $30 750

Now fast forward to halving. The cost of producing a new block is still the same, but the reward is cut down in half to 6.25 Bitcoins. Let's calculate.

New reward: 6.25 Bitcoins
Total earnings: $43 500
Total cost: $56 250
Profit: $-12 750

It is quite clear that Miners will have absolutely no intention in selling BTC at the current price of $7000 as they will go into a loss.
They have to start selling the BTC at a higher price otherwise it does not make sense for them to mine in the first place.

PS. even if the costs of producing a block are lower than I mentioned, miners would still report a profit loss due to reward halving. To compensate for the reward halving, they have to start selling at higher price.

How was the mining cost of 4500$ per BTC calculated?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: April 19, 2020, 10:00:09 AM
I think that we are looking now on classic wealth redistribution, where major players which hold majority of masternodes are flushing out small players and squeezing harshly market and taking over even greater control of masternodes network for a low price. Similar thing are happening were happened in many other coins.
16  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Cost to perform a 51% attack on the BTC blockchain? on: April 18, 2020, 11:05:41 AM
Hmmm. I think you can look at it a number of ways.. If you actually plan on buying all your machines, a simplified version would be something like

number of miners = ( total network hashpower ) / hash power per miner
number of miners * price per miner = $$$$$$

If you rent them, i guess it could be significantly cheaper.

Nicehash offers 1PH/s on the bitcoin chain for ~ 0.0168BTC

Bitcoin sees ~ 120 exahash. https://www.blockchain.com/charts/hash-rate
 = 120000 pentahash (?)

120000*0.168 = ~141.120.000 $ (For, lets say - a month?) to get 51% hashing power Huh (this doesn't seem that expensive.)

Although they obviously don't have that much mining power for rent (I see nicehash only has ~ 180 PH).

Purely theorethically speaking (if we forget about the practicalities of renting 120 ph worth of hashing equipment/however many hashes/s a chain has, (let alone buying it, in which case i highly doubt it would be profitable.)) i could see a number of scenario's where it could definitely be profitable to do a 51% attack.

Well if you buy the miners you have many other costs too like, space where u put them, cooling, electricy wires check that all are running...
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reach $5k in this up cycle ? on: April 18, 2020, 10:58:03 AM
I dont think this will happen, 70% of all ETH were premined and most people dont know this.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paranoid about anonymity on: April 18, 2020, 10:51:21 AM
The right to privacy is not just for criminals. Its very important to protect yourself. To anonymize your BTC transactions you can use Samurei Wallet or Wasabi wallet for example
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is good amount to start day trading is 100$ enough?? on: April 17, 2020, 11:02:11 PM
Basically it doesnt mather if you trade with 10$ or 1000$, its about the % gains that you make.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 1 JAN 2021 BTC WILL HIT 100K$ on: April 17, 2020, 10:53:29 PM
I think someday btc will hit 100k but we dont know when, we learned that we never know what comes next
