This project is interesting. Seems very ambitious of course and the scale of it combined with the history of this forum makes people hesitant to take it seriously. It would be really cool to see this project become a reality but I think so many of us are separated from Ghana by a large gap of physical location and culture. So what I am curious about is how interested people can verify that this type of thing actually is able to happen or how would we even be able to verify the projects authenticity with it being so distant? It's almost like I want to believe in this because at its core is a really great idea but I am having trouble seeing it as real just because of the presentation and that it was posted here on bitcointalk. Will be curious to watch how this develops.
so true. The inspiration of this project should be a new beginning for everyone. That when we have a brilliant idea. Do not make a big obstacle. Independence in this world must be realized in all fields, especially cryptocurrency. Hopefully the seriousness of this project, can prove to everyone that the strength of Bitland is true. Thanks for seeing through the bullshit! Bitcointalk is the worst part of crypto. That is why Bitland generally avoids this forum. It is the home of all the trolls of crypto that think they know more than they do. That said, the project has been going strong for 3 years now, and is not slowing down any time soon We actually just submitted a grant application to Cisco foundation to bring digital infrastructure to the Pine Ridge reservation in the US because Cisco Foundation read our white paper and noticed that we used Cisco products to price the infrastructure... There are major things happening

Reading through this thread, I can't come to the conclusion if this is a credible project or a troll nest. I'm only interested because it has a low marketcap and therefore bigger potential to grow compared to most established cryptos...key word established. So can anyone give me any insights on where this project is going or provide any credible links that validate this bitland? Thanks in advance.
You mean like the time we got mentioned on National Public Radio? http://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2017/01/11/503159694/blockchain-could-be-a-force-for-good-but-first-you-have-to-understand-itOr when I was invited to speak at Massachusetts Institute of Technology on behalf of Bitland? https://www.africanexponent.com/post/8320-mit-sloan-africa-innovate-conference-2017-quite-the-resounding-successFunny that MIT knows about Bitland in 2017, but the trolls on Bitcointalk have been questioning for 3 years if the project is "legitimate"...for 3 years... https://www.africanexponent.com/post/8320-mit-sloan-africa-innovate-conference-2017-quite-the-resounding-success"Chris Bates; Bitland Global; Panelist for Financial Innovation at the MIT 2017 Africa Innovate Conference" ask yourself how many other developers have been invited to speak at MIT? Just spoke at the French Chamber of Commerce... http://www.iol.co.za/business-report/a-showpiece-of-african-tech-entrepreneurship-in-europe-9938511"AFROBYTES Tech Conference is undoubtedly Europes pre-eminent Africa-focussed gathering of entrepreneurs, business executives, investors, academics, politicians and media interested in acting on the commercial opportunities presented by Africas tech and innovation industry. Earlier this month, the event was held in the heart of Paris for the second year in a row, and once again enjoyed the enthusiastic support of Frances largest employer federation, the Movement of the Enterprises of France (Medef). Despite the pleasure of rubbing shoulders with the likes of (name-drop alert) Rebecca Enonchong of AppsTech, Marsha Wulf of LoftyInc Capital Management, Emeka Afigbo of Facebook Africa, Ashley Lewis of Lifty Inc, Fatoumata Ba of Jumia, Baba Zoumanigui of IBM, Tayo Akinyemi of the World Bank Group and even the social media sensation that is the Kenyan TV journalist, Larry Madowo - my personal highlight at this years Afrobytes Conference had to be moderating a panel discussion on how Africans might participate more meaningfully in the emerging digital economy. The panel featured three guest discussants, including Larry Christopher Bates, president and chief security officer at BitLand Global - a firm which aids efforts to democratise property ownership by helping Africans harness the commercial potential of their land through the use of digital technology. It is Bates who gave me the most candid response to a question I asked regarding the importance of establishing the difference between access and inclusion within the context of the new digital economy. In his response, he touched on the need for Africans to wake up to the importance of owning and cleverly leveraging key assets such as land, intellectual property and even energy and broadband infrastructure, if we are to control our destiny as a continent." Sorry...we just don't need the approval of Bitcointalk when we get the approval of world governments

Credible link to validate Bitland: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1434155.msg19736777#msg19736777Insight: New volcanic islands are created every day, ripe for the snake oil that those behind Bitland are currently hawking. Bonus comment: Deeds for troll nests are pro bono. Just admit you know jack shit about how plate tectonics and how development of land works... You're not an expert in anything but trolling Pretty sure you will only make Bitland look amazing by continuing down this line of rhetoric...so please...please continue about how "land is static and unchanging and will always be in the exact same place forever" go ahead...that argument is...fantatsic... lulz

Also, for anyone who does not understand how land formation works, and thinks it is an "idiotic statement" that "new land pops up all the time", please see this list of "new islands since the beginning of the 20th century" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_new_islandsName of the island Country Land formation year(s) Hunga Ha'apai Tonga 201415, 2009[5] Jadid Island Yemen 2013[6] Nishinoshima Japan 201315, 197374[7] Yaya Island Russia 2013 Zalzala Koh Pakistan 2013[8] Sholan Island Yemen 2011[6] Peer Ghaib, Balochistan Pakistan 2010, 2004[9] Home Reef Tonga 2006, 1984[10] Norderoogsand Germany 1999[11] Kavachi Solomon Islands 19992003, 1991, 1986, 1978, 1976, 196970, 1965, 196364, 1961, 1958, 195253[12] Metis Shoal Tonga 1995, 1979, 196768[13] Fukutoku-Okanoba Japan 1986, 197475, 1914, 190405[14] Kuwae Vanuatu 1974, 1971, 1959, 1949, 1948, 192325[15] Surtsey Iceland 196367[16] Ilha Nova (Capelinhos) Portugal 195758[17] Myōjin-shō Japan 195253, 1946[18] Anak Krakatau Indonesia 192730[19] Fonuafo'ou Tonga 192728[20] Banua Wuhu Indonesia 191819, 1904[21] I am not sure if you understand how "land" works.Let's see if a mere mortal can school this asshole on how "land" works ... Ergo, I'm puttin' all my money in BitSea because I know how "oceans" work. Pretty sure you don't understand that at all either. But, yeah...go ahead and continue to elaborate on how "land is static" That will surely build your credibility in this long term argument. Please, continue to use "periodically updated maps" and "periodically updated land surveys" to prove why "land maps and surveys don't need to be updated periodically"... Surely, that argument will end well for you...

Me with the President of Mauritius because of Bitland's work heh... We have been in high gear for so long i forgot this thread existed. https://steemit.com/mauritius/@chris-bates/meeting-the-president-of-mauritiusI met a President before Vitalik met Putin. For all the people wondering about Bitland progress, please look news outlets, Steemit, Twitter, or Ong.Social for information about Bitland progress. We are now registered in Botswana, Mauritius, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, and South Africa. You can check updates on the project in South Africa from their Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/thehealthiestvillage/Bitland.world and Bitlandglobal.com are sister sites for the record. BitlandGlobal.com focuses on Ghanaian real estate market exclusively, while Bitland.world is the page for global access to the protocol. We are presenting directly to Nigerian government in August, and Narigamba just presented a demo to the Lands Commission in Accra this week in fact Bitland is not stopping

From the Mr. Bates's (not anymore "2 fucking masters degrees", because his whole life is fabricated) Whitepaper: https://steemit.com/bitland/@chris-bates/bitland-mauritius-white-paper... and when I say white I mean white like his ass, let's have a look at where money went (I hope the numbers are not dollars, because if are $$$ you must be not semi-retarded, but two fucking times retarded to spend so much in Africa): So in 3 years he spent or will spend? around 5741000 $? But! If you sum up the numbers you will see it's much more, but since we don't have two fabricated masters degrees we don't know what we are talking about. Also from whitepaper: "No one has been working for free, and the ICO funds ran out a LONG time ago." Now you know where the ICO funds went. you clearly have no idea how much servers and secure networks cost to build...lulz...you have no business trying to assess the numbers in that proposal...you are obviously not equipped to analyze that plan... also, it is funny that on the one hand you all are pissed that the project got $38,000 and has been able to continue this far, meanwhile you point out that the original large scale proposal was for a 3 year project with the obvious intention to expand into multiple regions... the cognitive dissonance here is hilarious to say the least The ICO was last May, lol...$38,000 for a year's worth of operations...good luck to anyone who wants to try doing that and not have failed out a long time ago...the project is STILL ongoing because many people are working pro-bono at this point and have been for a while to continue progress... so...please pick one troll and stick with it

|

i think it is hilarious that you are all either too dumb to fathom a person can earn two master's degrees, or too racist to accept a black person could do it...
either way, you're gross...

He sold ~20 mil CADASTRALS for BTS and then quess what? Cashed out on Poloniex. https://cryptofresh.com/u/bitland-global-1How can you still trust this guy? Read again the fist posts and see that from all the promises, nothing what delivered. Bullshit https://steemit.com/bitland/@yasemin-gencer/bitland-registers-first-properties-onto-blockchain-in-october-and-competes-in-fincluders-start-up-challenge-in-berlin-germany-inBitland Registers First Properties onto Blockchain in October and Competes in Fincluders Start-up Challenge in Berlin in November We registered our first properties last year. You idiots that only look here for information are not wanted, needed, nor add anything but idiocy. You're incorrect. As well as my reactions on this forum, this place doesn't deserve professional attention. This place is full of idiots that threw 160 million at THEDAO. Address those morons before you come talking to me. That is pretty funny that anyone dares try to point at us as anything but legit. Morons Gotta love the morons that can find this forum but can't find actual news sources about the project.
