1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Marketplace to sell software application as NFT? on: March 26, 2021, 03:23:16 PM
How do you know if the software app can be used as NFT? I'm not sure that there is a platform that provides to sell software as NFT. Yeah, I think so far NFT just for art. If you're a software developer you can join Fivver to make any apps for buyer, the platform it seems like NFT's marketplace.
Fivver is more to sell dev services, it concerns existing apps in this case.

This is a kind of art, no? Smiley

NFT is a Non Fungible Token, which means that this token can only be used as a collection. If you are a software developer, you will not be able to make it an NFT unless what you are developing is an image.
Why does it need to be limited to images?

Why you dont want to sell your apps in ordinary way?
Yes of course I can do that, but it is less fun. And NFT have the advantage of leaving a trace in the blockchain

Why you dont want to sell your apps in ordinary way?
Craze on NFTs may get him few millions of dollars interest of hundreds if he sold in that way, that is the reason for this. But I don't get what is the usecase of holding a software which is unique? There is no real use unless you sell it to the people from membership prices.

And maybe, it can be easily transmitted from a person to another
It also proves the ownership and could be a collectible for investor that could buy some apps to get some ROI

I'm not sure if NFT has advanced to that level. I thought about similar thing (not exactly software) few days ago but felt that with the current NFT model i have read about so far,  the unique NFT products could become expensive than they should, it could encourage the copyright/monopoly of useful ideas/products, it would encourage greed, etc.
However, I think there are people who would just want to have their ideas in form of NFT just to prove they own the idea but will let people to use them freely...wonder how that will work out.
What I'm looking for is not a way to protect the idea but a way a sell the intellectual property of the app (and the source code), IMO it is not so different from selling art

It seems fun, I will give it a try with the minimum amount

do you have a notion that the life cycle of hyip sites are not long?

Yes, it's why I won't bet anymore on this one.
I made two tries, one at 0.001 and one at 0.01, I get paid for both.
But for sure, there is a risk that stats are falsified and that the system run out of funds at some time.
Personally, I consider that like a bet, I miss Satoshi Dice too much Smiley)

@nghs I'm in a similar place to you from a month or so back, you seem to be the most recent person to be able to do a withdraw. I'm trying to withdraw and the hot wallet is practically empty. I wondered if you had any success contacting anyone from the site to get the wallet refilled?

I've posted on here and emailed info@rakkinv.com, support@satoshidice.com and also posted a complaint on the curaco gaming website that I've seen mentioned but not had a reply from any.

Can any recommend any other contact channels to try? Did you ever get a response or did the wallet just fill up mysteriously one day? I've seen the value increase a tiny amount over the last few weeks, but I suspect that may just be from losing players?

Cheers
I didn't got any answer from anyone, I have withdrawn my balance little by little, trying regularly...
The wallet did not fill up mysteriously one day, I think that when someone new come to play it fill up a bit the wallet, so I was able to get some money back this way. But it is slow and requires patience...

Do you still have a lot to withdraw?

Dear all,

As you know, I also had problem with the hot wallet not being refilled. I asked MegaDice about that but no answer at all from them.
Fortunetely, I was able to withdraw what I wanted.
I still have money on my account, but since the 3rd of May, I'm not able to withdraw anything (nor to play), I get an error message. It's not like when the hot wallet is empty, it looks more like the service is down.
But other people seem able to play, so this seems to concern only my account.
It's why I contacted them again, I got no news, so I contacted Curacao eGaming.
MegaDice did not answer to Curacao eGaming within 7 days, so Curacao eGaming ask them again to answer.
For now, still no answer from MegaDice, and they did not answer to Curacao eGaming as well

Sure, for now I'm still waiting, I tried to contact them by email first, now I'm trying here.
For now the hot wallet is still very low (0.00087035 BTC)  Sad
Hope they will fix that soon
I saw your topic, that's incredible Sad
