1  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [Selling] Everything! (First few requests are free.) on: December 21, 2010, 07:00:33 PM
Hi. I want to make a request:

I'd like to have a CSS design, a sober webpage with a simple menu that highlights.

On one page there has to be a table, that anyone can edit (add/delete data to it's fields and add/delete rows and columns). Also please have this table to look as neat as possible, not the classic, ugly HTML table.
If possible add comments so n00bs can understand.

Keep up the good work!
Sure thing. When I'm done, could you host them actively to serve as a demonstration? It would help me out greatly.
Hand drawn using any media (greyscale/blackandwhite) picture.
Topic is revolution, protests, freedom to draw on walls, love, fight, fire, riot, general awesomeness of the masses.

Just as a personal preference I would love to see this in india ink.
License under WTFPL
I wish I had any india ink on me, the drawings I've seen them done in are very well defined. I can try my best to emulate it.

Also, what is (if there is any) the sleep time between retries? Is there a way to set it to retry indefinitely with a reasonable amount of time between attempts? Supplying the retry command at all (as -r or --retry) causes it to instantly crash for me.
This problem still exists with the latest version of CPU miner. (The one presently in the OP.)

Can you try this?   http://yyz.us/bitcoin/cpuminer-installer-0.3.1-i486.zip

The default cpuminer is built "-march=i686", which means the compiler generates and optimizes for Intel chips i686 and later.  Some VIA chips lack a few key CPU instructions such as 'cmov' that the compiler generates, and as a result, minerd.exe binaries on these older VIA CPUs will probably crash.
No luck. Additionally, 4way on that build  behaves like via does (doesn't work, quits instantly). C goes slower than usual. Cryptopp too. Cryptopp_asm32 clocks in where it used to, though.

Version 0.3.1 released.  Changes:
- Critical fix for sha256_via
- Retry JSON-RPC failures (see --retry, under "minerd --help" output)

SHA1: c8da4ed8d73d71a73795b153f4ea157041cc51ba  cpuminer-installer-0.3.1.zip
MD5: 69c228d4846e9940e3129a395a947080  cpuminer-installer-0.3.1.zip

Still don't know if sha256_via actually works -- testnet or pool testers requested.
I can't get via to work, it just starts and ends without any messages, even when -d and -P flags are provided. Running the windows build on windows XP.
Also, what is (if there is any) the sleep time between retries? Is there a way to set it to retry indefinitely with a reasonable amount of time between attempts? Supplying the retry command at all causes it to instantly crash for me.

I've adjusted the license to a variation of the creating commons license, put up my two best available pencil works, and now I'm accepting the first three requests in each category (bold) for free.

I appreciate the criticism, everyone. You've worded it strongly and effectively, as it should be.

I've updated the topic with some of my older works. A lot of my art gallery pictures were just things that I made to amuse a couple of friends at the time. My music album was a test in itself, so don't think that it's all I'm capable of. Smiley

Intro
Hello, all. I make stuff.
First three requests in each category will receive a work absolutely free.
If you want one of the things on the list below, or maybe something that isn't there, just make a post (Or a private message, if you wish to remain anonymous.)
Please keep in mind that easier (less complex) requests are likely to be completed faster, but won't be done with less effort. I'm a perfectionist at heart. Smiley

How to make a request
Note: Any or all of the following information can be sent through PM to respect privacy. Private requests will be put on the worklist under the name "Anonymous" to give public customers an idea as to how far along their request is.
Start with a brief description of what you would like, how it should be done, and any examples you have on hand similar to your request.
Providing details with an instant messaging service or email for fast correspondence would greatly assist me assist you, as I would like to make things just how you want them.
Including an upfront value would help others determine how much my services are worth to you.
I will list completed work in this topic unless specifically requested not to.

What happens once a request is accepted
The request will be placed on the worklist. The worklist is in order of priority. (Higher, most important / being worked on presently. Lower, least important / being worked on later.)
The worklist isn't meant as an insult to your request or yourself, it's just a general tool for myself to get small and relatively easy things out of the way faster so that more people can be happy. If I have several large projects on hand, I will try to distribute my time evenly between them. I will try my best to keep in touch with everyone that has an open request to keep everybody updated with my progress.

What happens once a product is completed?
A request for the payment will be made, once the money is received I will release the requested assets.
If anyone has a preferred site that the content should be released to, I will gladly use it so long as it doesn't request a large service fee.
I will happily agree to use an escrow service if anybody still has any doubts.

Who owns the product?

All works published as a product of this thread's offers are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License.

8  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BitcoinMedia - promotion ideas and content production. on: December 18, 2010, 10:06:55 PM
I tried registering to begin making images, posts, and planning out instructional videos. But now the site appears to be broken for me, constantly loading and never finishing.

If anyone wants any sort of image made with an image manipulation program, I can do it.
    9  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (>2000Mhash/s, join us!) on: December 18, 2010, 01:12:56 PM
I tried to register for the service, however it threw an "unhandled exception" for all three acceptable permutations of my username (DerrikeG, Derrike, Derrike_G) after clicking "Register". I cannot use any of those accounts to login and join the network.
