Okay but what about the token supply? They have said that there will not be any hard cap that means no max supply of their token. It will be elastic and will increase or decrease with demand. So my question is how they are going to measure their token demand? If it will peg with their marketcap then what will be it's target price?

Pre-Minted tokens
There are no pre-minted tokens when the network goes live.

Fixed supply, 2-4 years
The supply has a cap of 100.000.000.000 tokens (100bn tokens), for the period.

Elastic money supply
The supply algorithm can issue or burn tokens to regulate the supply. I.e. for ...

Tagion alpha_two 1 is now released. The purpose of the alpha releases is to create a stable core; a stable and operational node. We will not set up a public test network at each release as it does not necessarily improve progress, but instead release the binaries so that the network can be run on your machine.
The release cycle is every six weeks going forward from January 11, and we expect 2-4 more alpha releases before all core functionality is implemented and the node is stable. You can see the draft release plan as well in GitHub - it is a draft and a rolling plan.

The purpose of the alpha_two is to fix the stability of the network in internal mode.

The release contains the same functionality as the alpha_one release, except that alpha_two is now more stable than alpha_one and the debugging capabilities have been improved. Several bugs have been fixed. See release note 2 for more information.

Please, report bugs/issues in GitHub, but only bugs and attach the error log. General questions should be asked here.

The banks that most people use operate a mix of software. Over the years, there’s been a patchwork of upgrades and actual revolutions. The more modern banks use fintech platforms that are cloud-connected and have APIs — all that up-to-date stuff. But maybe, they’ve been chasing the wrong innovation all the time.

Current financial software systems are proprietary systems, permissioned and closed-source. They require specialists to modify them — and to get the bugs out as well. But, for more conservative institutions, there’s a certain comfort in that.

The thing is, there’s no certainty in keeping proprietary systems like that any more. Leaner, faster tech companies are using open source technology to innovate, and the banking system is firmly in their sights.
Banks sticking to closed-source software in hopes that its more secure should remember that their software is written by IT companies, not banks, and it’s the IT companies that are becoming their competitors.
At Tagion, we’ve embraced open source for several reasons, not least is that we can keep a better technology stack cheaper and with greater agility when something needs attention. But there’s another matter for us, and that’s transparency.

Put your money in a bank, and it goes from system to system, and you don’t really know what’s going on; you have no say in the systems by which your bank operates.

With Tagion, you can look inside. If it interests you, you can look at our source code on GitHub, and even make a suggestion or ask why we did things a certain way.

It’s your money. At Tagion, we believe that it should also be your financial system to the degree that interests you.

@joinfree Thanks for the support. Actually, we are discussing this a lot at the moment in the team. Obviously, we would love to have a huge following, but our main target is to get the attention of users and developers that share our beliefs and are just as excited about the tech as we are. The end goal is to have Tagion governed as a common and driven by the community - so we need a strong community of people that share the vision and see the possibilities that Tagion provides. So, in our view, it would not do the community any good to pump it with 'fake' numbers or followers that do not support the project

We feel confident in our vision of delivering cheap, fast, and fair transfers for everyone on the fact that we have coded every part of the network our self. Also, Tagion is optimized for money transfers and avoids all the performance complications that come with blockchain technology by avoiding it.

We have planned to engage partners, we just want to make sure we are ready first. Another part of our plan is to have the first decentralized working DEX. If we have that it will be counterintuitive to start being listed on another exchange

This 'one-person-one-node' reminds me of another project, thanks for the response but I'm reading more now on your website, I want to test this project for example download a wallet and test it doing transactions for example on a Testnet network, nice to be part of this thread

In principle, Tagion is an altcoin. The part where it is set apart from other coins is the fact that the complete network is built from scratch by the team. In this way, we have been able to optimize it for token transfers. This also means that we have an independent network that is technically superior to the first generation of networks, e.g. all block-chain based systems. The governance system also benefits 'one-person-one-node' and prevents power centralization. We will soon update www.tagion.org and hopefully tell the story even clearer there

Currently, as the coin is not out yet, it is all about potential. But then again, that is why the SAFT contracts can get you a long way for a small amount.
The main advantages in comparison to e.g. Bitcoin is in the governance and the tech.

Tagion is build to be a 'lean mean transaction machine'. So the throughput per second, processing speed, and energy consumption are superior to other networks out there. Also, the governance hinders the centralization of power with big miner farms or other organizations.

As the only thing out there yet is an AlphaOne test network, the sales of SAFT contracts to private, European investors have been based on the trust in the team and their ideas as outlined in the Whitepaper.

... and again as the value of Tagions is so extremely low it will not take a lot of value gaining for it to be a good deal.
