In all fairness, your current account (@celemoore) is technically ban evading, since once one of your accounts is banned, so are all your accounts. Additionally, ban appeals rarely succeed, and it is not unusual for account that appeals to come out scorched...

Alright! Thanks for the detailed info, it's much appreciated.

This seems a pretty honest answer, but unfortunately you’ve just confessed to being the owner of a banned account (restricted is an euphemism for banned). Being that so, the forum rules state that: <…> 25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e] <…> <…> 25. If you get banned (temporarily or permanently) and create a new account to continue posting / sending PMs, it's considered ban evasion. The only exception is creating a thread in Meta about your ban.<…>
What that means is that, in an account of a person is banned, so are all his past, present and future account, except for the possibility of using and Alt Account to plead for the case to be revised on Meta (which normally does not get reverted)... Archieve: http://archive.is/UwM3DI honestly didn't know that. How do i plead with the new account? Would have done that if i knew. Could i please have a link i could do this on?

It took awhile before i actually noticed i was merited. I must say it feels good to know someone sees what you're doing and commend you for contributing to the forum. I love contributing and if merits comes it will be great but not gonna hawk for it as it will defeat the purpose of the forum. I think just relax, be yourself and contribute positively and meaningfully Yes, this is always feel good when you rank up you alt. But sadly the moment you feelings change from good to bad come quick and you feel the bitter of consequences. I hope this little act of your wont stop you from "contributing" to forum. I simply don't understand why don't you continue to post with your first account? Oh that account was restricted, I was a noob and didn't understand how the forum works. I'm sure I won't be the first to be restricted for being naive. It took time for me to understand what the forum is about. I did ask for advice and simply realised its not about just posting something but being meaningful and contributing positively. If I may ask, what was your purpose for the digging to the past? 😁

Some scammers have grown and have evolved. They now have a non-plagiarized whitepaper, an attractive website, convincing usecases. Infact, they can look so real with high scores on review sites, they can get a popular crypto youtuber to shill their project. They pay professionals to do the convincing part just to get fund.
They will even have real team members with legit physical office address. They have evolved hence you can't be 100% sure. You can do your best by checking all necessary loopholes and hope they succeed. Crypto space is a gamble

Anyone can make a bad judgement, even experts. Even a team member cannot guarantee a success of the project. I will rather do my own research and make an informed decision

Firstly, you must do your own research and don't trust anyone's recommendation. Check the project for it's usecases, the credibility of the devs and team member. Don't participate because of FOMO. Also don't expect to much from bounty campaigns, it's a gamble so you won't be disappointed

It's better to stay away from unknown projects still trying to raise fund. It's a big risk in my opinion

The best place to start will be on coinmarketcap, check the top DeFi projects listed there but be very careful chasing DeFi hypes for your investment. Rather invest in ETH and bitcoin and wait for your gains. The more you put in the more you gain (long term).

Escrow is a good way to ensure bounty hunters receive reward but it also depend on the project. Take DogData for example had their bounty campaign and did escrow with a bounty management but changed their smart contract few days before IEO making the tokens useless for hunters and when they finally send tradable tokens months later, the whole campaign token is worth $20. If a project team has no remorse or even conscience to appreciate hunters and pay for the effort they took to promote their project. It all depends on the project, if a project is good and honest, even without escrow they will still pay hunters for example Cartesi.

Testnet released is already confirmed and the Ethereum 2.0 main release will be determined by the results of the testnet. I don't think there's anything wrong if there's a little delay, we have waited this long for the testnet and i think it's a good sign. We want a finished/working products which is secure and easily usable.

What is the point of selling a shitcoin, you will spend more money on gas fees and you won't be able to withdraw from exchange as the value is so low. It can just remain in the wallet and ifsome sort of miracle happens, it may revive in value again....

I don't know about the return of ICOs but it seem bonding curve will be the new ish. DeFi project seem to be bringing this method and with its success, this might be the new trend. It's quite interesting as investors can even sell their token within the bonding curve stage as the price increases while sale is ongoing and you can sell your token back within the cycle before it hits exchange if you wanna take short term profit

I do agree that you may know a project is fake by checking their physical address on google but some actually have a legit office address and can still exit scam. They can get the best score on best ICO review sites. They can have a whitepaper written by a professional with 0% plagiarism, but the credibility of the team members and devs are important. Knowing their past experience and history. Also what kind of advisor do they have. We can actually confirm identity but what if the project genuinely failed with real team but unable to complete development (this is where the credibility of the devs comes in) They need to be competent enough to actually implement their roadmap. Nothwithstanding, a project can be so good but still fail due to market condition etc. I guess what i'm saying is that this crypto space is a risk/gambling zone. There are no guarantees

Absolutely true, one need to research extensively before investing in a project especially the new ones full of FOMO! Many noobs will just hear about a DeFi project with unconfirmed partnership but will jump at it hoping to see make quick buck.

It's good to see the law and justice is working there. They should be hold fully responsible for their crime. Scamming and defrauding so much funds and treating people as fools. Why would people invest in such an obvious scam though..

Bitcoin and Ethereum are the only coin i feel safe to invest in. The others one haven't prove their value to be as worth as much as bitcoin and ethereum. It's better to be safe than sorry, I'm still adding to my portfolio and hopefully i will be able to accumulate enough to maintain some passive income. With Ethereum's testnet being successful and v 2.0 upgrade coming soon and bitcoin chart looking like a bullrun.

Even an expert in crypto could still fall for such scamming tricks especially if they go as far as mimicking reputable company and streaming videos. They are really growing everyday in this scamming business. We need to be really careful and accept that nobody can double your crypto wallet unless you work for it or buy it. Newbies could easily fall for this, those who just want their pockets full without doing much. If it's too good to be true then it's probably is. Thanks for reporting it here.

Projects team and devs started behaving this way when hunters started cheating by creating multiple accounts and getting caught through wallet pooling. This has destroyed the credibility of the innocent ones. I do believe alot of projects are taking advantage of this to not pay even the good ones which is unacceptable. Escrow has helped with this but still team has the last say when it comes to distribution. It's good that bounty managers are also filtering out cheaters to minimize such act.
