1  Economy / Gambling / Re: Megadice on: December 30, 2020, 05:23:51 PM
So, i'm pretty late to the party and have only found myself here after trying to access my megadice account today.

The site is currently down which is no surprise after reading previous comments, its been a while since I last logged in, I have/had some btc 'bet on the house' which I check up on from time to time. I was not even aware of the shady goings on with them recently, otherwise I would have withdrawn my coin sooner!

Does anyone know the last date when the site was up and still functional to the point of withdrawing funds?

Is there much chance the site is just down for maintenance or should I fully write off my funds already? Sad haha!

Also, does anyone happen to know any of their 'cold storage' wallet addresses? (Just curious to see if they even have any remaining funds live in their accounts)

Many thanks,
-DrD

The site disappeared over xmas for a day or so, but it appears to be back up again, and technically functional. The only issue is the hot wallet is never being refilled and currently has only 0.0015 BTC which you'd have to pay a fee of 0.001 on top if you wanted to withdraw it.

I've been monitoring it weekly and attempting to withdraw each time. It's not looking positive and I've pretty much written it off as a loss.

The Bet on the House amount shown on the site has been fluctuating, and I do believe those funds do exist in a wallet somewhere although this is a different store of funds than cold storage. Most notably around mid Nov the figure dropped by 10 to 22.30490452 it's now at 21.08235864. These movements could just be the result of people like you and I moving their funds out of the Bet on the House in preparation to withdraw, which they then realised they couldn't do.

There appears to be a small amount of bet activity happening, last bet was 19 days ago for small change. The only way the site is currently making money is as a honey trap as new unsuspecting users join up and add funds.

When the site went down, I expected that was it, however the fact it came back means someone is still looking after it it seems.

I've been trying to withdraw my remaining funds for the last few months but the hot wallet was always pretty much empty. Now the withdraw feature is broken as it no longer sends you an email to unlock your account for withdrawing. The support email address is now also bouncing emails as of this week, not that I ever got a reply anyway.

I'd pretty much written off the remaining funds I had in there anyway but it seems certain now. There's 20 BTC still present in the 'House' account this has also been dwindling down recently, which makes me believe someone behind the scenes is managing to extract the money out before it disappears.

I wish there was some way to track them down.

First of all feeling sad for your losses.
But also meantime thinking it's a nice teaching to the newbies like you. How can you play in such a site which is dead for many months? Also it's always advised by the veteran Gamblers to play on trusted and reputable websites.
But still guys like you play on these new and fresh sites and when don't get your winnings/withdraw back, you come up here crying.
MegaDice is inactive for many months and you can also see their reputation from the red trust. Sadly no one can help you.

MegaDice is far from a 'new and fresh site' it's been around for over 7 years and was originally named SatoshiDice. For the last 5-6 years I've had a fair chunk of BTC earning interest there using the Bet on House feature and made some decent gains. I started pulling my investment back in 2017 and have only about 1/5 of my stake still there. Since the sites credibility really came into question earlier on this year I've been pulling as often as the hot wallet has funds which sadly is almost never.

The withdraw feature is back working again today, but still nothing in the hot wallet - but still, a glimmer of hope for those with funds trapped.

@nghs I'm in a similar place to you from a month or so back, you seem to be the most recent person to be able to do a withdraw. I'm trying to withdraw and the hot wallet is practically empty. I wondered if you had any success contacting anyone from the site to get the wallet refilled?

I've posted on here and emailed info@rakkinv.com, support@satoshidice.com and also posted a complaint on the curaco gaming website that I've seen mentioned but not had a reply from any.

Can any recommend any other contact channels to try? Did you ever get a response or did the wallet just fill up mysteriously one day? I've seen the value increase a tiny amount over the last few weeks, but I suspect that may just be from losing players?

Cheers

I'm trying to withdraw and there's not enough in the hot storage on MegaDice, does anyone know from experience how long it takes for this to be resolved? I've been trying a couple of days now and had the same problem. I've emailed the support email but not had a reply.

I've had this issue in the past, but it was resolved fairly quickly I think, but that was a couple of years ago now.

If the support account is on here, please can you help out. I'm trying to withdraw 0.95 BTC,

Cheers,

Damn, why did you come here in this thread after you face a serious issue.
You should not have faced this issue if you check about this site here in this forum earlier before you made your last deposit and play.
What you can do now is just to wait and hope that they will answer to your concern and fix your problem.

I last deposited a few years ago, I don't use the site to play, but to get returns via the 'Bet on the House' feature. I have withdrawn before, and had issues with empty cold storage but it's always been resolved eventually. Hopefully it will be resolved soon (still no luck today).
