Looking at how slow development has been for Gulden since Novo started and then adding a third coin is a Big no from me. Prefer it if we can change the current Gulden. I don't care about all the emotions and politics but looking at the history of development when Novo started.
You add a third coin and you will be lucky to get 1 update in 2 years.

Gulden will be aired on live TV tonight at 10pm in the Netherlands on NPO2 which has a lot of viewers. This will give Gulden lots of exposure in NL.

Carpe diem, seize the day! The devs should discuss with bitvavo to be listed before the drop with a down payment before listing and another after listing. The exchange will want this event to take place while Gulden is listed. I pledge another 20k as a Gulden patriot after 19 other members donate 10k each and the devs another 200k.

A GAB representative and Rijk have asked a community member not to share your posts here on slack. Thanks for the contribution to bitvavo,  it is more then most have contributed, considering Gukden is meant to have over 100 000 users.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The even greater Gulden thread! on: May 29, 2021, 01:35:02 PM
A better idea is for users to buy Gulden to increase the price and let the dev funding pay for the exchange. Is the 50k what bitvavo wants or wishful thinking? The devs can take the Euros back if the submission fails instead of users contributing and never getting the funds back if it does not succeed.

Alternatively sell Gulden at 2 or 3 times the price from the dev funding , at least the funders receive something in return. The listing on bitvavo will increase the price and this includes the dev funding who will receive over 60% of the reward each block.

Of course an increase of the price gives a bit more space for funding purposes like exchange listings and marketing. However, a part of the dev funding has already been going towards the Bitvavo goal. Slowly we're getting there.

Well the dev trough at 3c earns 85k in 2 months, at 6c it's 170k. I would expect that GAB to provide the remaining 30k for bitvavo.

The GAB said the development reward will be cut when the value of Gulden increases. At 6c the GAB can halve the development reward.

Is this based on the max supply and reward changes alone or counting on a bitvavo listing

The reward halving is going to help Gulden maintain a good price in the next bear market. Bitvavo will also help.

Btc on the up, lets dump this bitch. 40-50 sat is a good trading range for this low liquidity market. Can't you see the sell walls are getting thicker and the devs are reluctant to give up on the never endiing trough.
You will thank me later that I smacked some reality into your hopium trip.

Give it up already, the only chance you have of getting back in at those prices is if Rijk takes another month to confirm the reward changes. Instead of shitting on the dev team you should be thanking them for taking ages to decide on the rewards.

40sat

The loss of litebit is hurting the potential growth in price, many people complaining blockhut never has stock.

Although I finish selling the last of my Gulden this weekend I don't think it's a good idea for Gulden to change the rewards and let it run. EFL can still be the Dutch coin for scarcity and the foundation is in touch with a developer that is going to help EFL.
Gulden community has Novo as the scarcity coin, maybe time to let Gulden die and let Rijk focus on Novo?

The community is discussing the reward changes but it looks to me a tactic not get the rewards changed. When the dev rewards was raised twice the board decided quickly to up it with no consultation with the community. The community discussion will lead to different figures with the end result that no majority can be determined and the rewards will be left as is. I could be wrong but this is the sense I get, give the impression you want change but in the back rooms of the board and devs no change will be made because the community could not decide on one option.

You should have a look at syscoin if you like Gulden. In 2019 they reduced their block reward and added a 5% reward reduction annually.
Master nodes get 75% of the reward and miners 25%. They have a governance system where longer term masternodes get rewarded more.

I sold my Gulden for syscoin in 2020 and the coin has performed well in comparison. Gulden is still a good coin but without a reward reduction in the future after the devs increased the rewards by 80%, it left me hesitant to continue on and so far it looks like I made a good decision.

How does a decentralized coin like syscoin raise dev funding for all that development? I can understand how tokens do it but how do those developers make money.

Thanks a lot and where can I buy Gulden?

https://gulden.com/en

Scroll down a bit for buying options.

You can also purchase Guldens directly from the mobile wallet, you'll have to complete some account verifications but afterward, it's incredibly simple to fulfill a purchase.

I forgot to mention this, this was only made available recently?

Hi every body. I read your opinions about gulden and its future. can everybody say me, when is the meeting held?

24th March
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The even greater Gulden thread! on: March 20, 2021, 06:51:51 PM
I was one of the few voices at the start who was against the reward change from 1000 to 100 and when they went ahead with the change Rijk never adjusted the max supply to compensate. Next year if the rewards remained the same with the 4 year halving schedule, 75% of the total supply would of been mined out.

Next year Gulden will only have 35% of the total supply mined out and a long way to go before 75% is achieved. This scares off investors.

To correct the situation the total supply needs to be adjusted to where current supply is 75% and a reward halving introduced on the 3rd April 2022 when the next reward halving was expected to take place.

Someone else in the team or community can work it out but the max supply will need to be adjusted close to 760 million to bring the initial reward structure back into balance with a reward halving starting on 3rd April 2022 and every 4 years after.

I do like your suggestion. It also gives the devs 5 years of good funding while also catering to the users and putting the blockchain in sync with where it should be with the circulation % vs Max coins.

Is this proposal worth mentioning in the #GAB channel on slack?

Novo has it's total supply reduced from 10 billion to 210 000, this is why the price has jumped 200% in 24hrs. This is a test for Gulden to reduce max supply from 1.6 billion to 600 million and drop rewards by 90%? This is will be a welcome move for Gulden! It will be unfair if 1 project of Rijk does this but not the other.

Rijk has learnt but had my doubts, this is what needed to be done with Gulden and complained many times that the supply and reward is too high, I didn't invest in Novo because of the 10 billion supply but if the price drops to $3, I will buy 500 - 1000 coins and hold.
With EFL the total supply and reward was done proper by the original creator, but he was not a good developer and Gulden does have a good developer but the total supply and high rewards stop it from growing.

You will never see $3 again, the 210 000 total supply is after 100 years, the current supply is over 60k. You won't get 1% of the supply sold at $3 which is slightly over 600.

This coin was created to give long term Gulden investors a chance to make some money. What a gift. Price is $16 and will climb to $30 next week.

GAB is discussing the max supply next week for Gulden on 24th March, looking at the Novo price it does not take a brain surgeon to see what is in the cards for Gulden, invest now before it's too late, gulden already has enough supply to go around.
A good balance is to halve the max supply to 840 million and drop the reward to 55.  Miner 20, Witness 15, dev reward 20
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The even greater Gulden thread! on: March 14, 2021, 10:16:57 AM
Besides Doge, high supply coins are doing bad against bitcoin, digibyte has fallen a lot and so has Gulden against bitcoin. GRS is moving close to $1 a coin due to low supply growth.

Having low rewards is a positive when bitcoin is pumping.

I have noticed low supply coins are maintaining Satoshi price against bitcoin, so the $$ value us moving with bitcoin. Gulden and coins like Digibyte will always have a hard time when bitcoin is in this phase. Lowering max supply or halving the current reward would bring a higher price.

Big Move

When is the next reward increase?

Next reward change is a decrease,  there won't be another reward increase again, this is the worst it gets and good news for the future when the rewards do come down.

There’s an article in Medium about Gulden development, it’s a good read.
https://link.medium.com/XmQ2FdQHTab

Speaking of Gulden development, what new has come out in the last 6 months?
What is the plans for Gulden and is there 1 core developer dedicated to Gulden and 1 to the other coin?

Last 6 months was only Novo but Gulden will get electron wallet next year when Novo finished.

Novo is the least interesting token I have seen, what a waste of development time. I did not know Novo has taken away this much time from Gulden Development.
