Over the size limit? That doesn't sound right...the mandatory fee is for very small transactions ('cause they would clutter the network more than  be useful; so a fee is charged to avoid people spamming the network)

Nope, I can confirm the problem (I was sending a few small transactions today). The string is just wrong in the source-- I'll go file a bug.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Warren Buffet and Benjamin Graham - Don't buy something you don't understand on: June 27, 2011, 01:50:15 AM

Hi,
I would be interested in hearing opinions on the above and how the community is going to solve this problem. Buffet and Graham do offer sound advice but most people have the herd mentality don't they.

Although it is hard to believe my parents using bitcoin I can see young people taking it on but will they feel safe, if not surely that will completely put them off.

*shrugs* There are always people scared of the new thing, because they don't understand it. For more information, go read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luddite . The community doesn't need to solve the problem; the death of fiat currencies due to everyone *hating* them (and finally having an alternative) will solve it. (Those who don't switch will simply starve.)

188.2 to 192.1 MHash/sec, so almost 2.1% increase-- thanks!
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does everyone feel now that mtgox is back up? on: June 27, 2011, 01:39:26 AM
dont you think the volume is too low today? i thought it gonna be quite big...

Well, the MtGox people were throttling for a while, and may still be doing so. Also, given *how long* it took them to come back, many big traders may still not have noticed that they *are* back. So I think it'll return to normalcy in a few days.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Businesses and Developers, Let's Get Started! on: June 27, 2011, 01:35:15 AM
If your account represents a Bitcoin business or you are a developer, please post here so we can get you into the forum beyond. State your company, project in addition to what you wish to do on the forums. We will get you whitelisted promptly.

Godspeed in your endeavors and thank you for your service!

I've actually built an iOS/Android BitCoin app (markets, miners, charts, the works-- and in-app trading coming soon) and it's currently in the hands of the iOS censors. So hoping in a day or two (it's been there for a week) it'll be up. Business link: http://www.maliceafterthought.com.

Just saying hello-- I'm interested in BitCoin because of Snow Crash, the same as most other people. I've been mining for a while, but haven't bothered to post to the forums yet, clearly a mistake.
