1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How easy it is to be addicted to gambling? on: September 25, 2025, 11:10:15 PM
I have been gambling for years, maybe I have been addicted to it at some point even though I never noticed, however I'm a little in control of my gambling activities. Something still get me confused regarding gambling addiction that is a hot topic here and I want to get opinion of others on these areas:
  • How do you know you are addicted to gambling
  • How easy it is to be addicted to gambling?
  • Can an addicted gambler work himself out of that addiction without help from anyone, if yes, is it still addiction?

I am not am expert on gambling addiction whatsoever, but in my opinion and from the experience I have gotten in this ecosystem, it would seem to me it is fairly easy for anyone to become addicted to gambling of they gamble recklessly enough and dedicate enough time to gamble, beyond a regular session and beyond what it could be considered to be a normal session on casinos.

I think in such way because, in the end of the day, all human beings have the same dopamine receptors in the brain and messing which such equilibrium is not that hard if one has the resources to start to gamble.

It is easy to get into addictions and difficult to get off them, that is related with the very definition of what an addiction is.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Geo-restriction in some slot games on: September 25, 2025, 10:38:18 PM
...

What could be the reason some slot games are not available for people from certain country or region?

I believe it depends on the jurisdiction where the provider has their headquarters which determines whether their games/slots are going to be available to clients in other specific countries or not. For example, I live in a country which is pretty much sanctioned by the United States and also by the European Union, so it would be expected business and companies of all kinds from those locations to be forbidden from engaging with business with people from my country, just in case they could be providing their services to people who is sanctioned because human right violations or money laundering.

There could be also some providers which wish to avoid to get in trouble and willingly block access to their games to those who live in muslin majority communities.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the characteristics of choosing a gambling site? on: September 25, 2025, 10:33:00 PM
...

At first, I paused a moment and look at them calmly and said, from where I got those site it's a reliable place, but that doesn't mean all those gambling site you see running an advert are all guaranteed or trustworthy. Then I moved forward saying; you must check their ratings and also checks about their scam rate, how fast and quickly they could release your fund or credit your deposits. All these are what I said but was that wanting to hear from the community if there are any more input to share with them maybe when I am around them.

Please respond responsibly!

You must consider there are casinos which have a devious reputation and are very shady, so they hire people to write and publish positive ratings on the internet, you know, the typical shilling campaign. It is something which is done by infamous casinos like 1xbit and 1xbet. If you look closely to their digital finger print on the internet they could even fool you to believe they are a very good and reliable service, with high liquidity and all that, when in reality, they commit selective scams.

Though, I would not take internet ratings and reviews do seriously and definitive when comes to selecting a casino to gamble on.
4  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Constant in take of water key to healthy living. on: September 25, 2025, 08:57:43 PM
'Water is life'. Is the usual slogan.water is very essential to healthy living. The important of water can never be overemphasize.
Constant in take of water helps in optimal functional of the organs of the body such the kidney and the digestive system which aids blood circulations.water removes some Toxics substances in the body as well as avoid dehydration

How often do you take water daily?

Water and milk are 99% of the liquids I put in my body I would estimate.  I may grab a lemonade at a restaurant or a beer at a social gathering, but for the most part I drink water.  I get it delivered to my house and honestly really enjoy water.

I think if aliens discovered us, one of the most interesting things about us would be that we are made of water, have access to cheap clean water, but prefer to drink poison and sugar filled liquids that cost a lot of money and make us fat and sick.  I'm human and even I find it interesting...

It is not even that weird of you consider those beverages are scientifically designed and formulated for people to get kind of addicted to them and prefer to drink them instead of water.
I have seen some testimonials from people who have suffered addiction to Coca-Cola and most of them say they had grown too attached to the flavor of coke and sparkling sensations of carbonated water.

If aliens came and discovered us, they would understand there care big companies interested in selling their products and making general population accustomed to them.
5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A plea for Allocotus on: September 25, 2025, 08:51:13 PM
I am not familiar with law in the United States so I had never heard about this kind of defense and their application to women. Though, it does not surprise me much, honestly.

There are different kind of pleas and defense strategies which can be used in court.
Not long ago I discovered is possible to get a solid enough defense if the case a man kills a trans woman, under the defense of the defender was prompted by the victim because of the fact their biological sex was concealed purposely.

Which is kind of crazy if you think about it, there would be lawyers and LGBTQ advocates who would point out to that kind of defense as transphobic.
6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israël threatens France on: September 25, 2025, 08:39:00 PM
I would have guessed Israeli-Frenchbdiplomscy was always going to be strong and aligned... It seems I was wrong...

Israel is a relatively small country with limited economical power, so I don't see how it could effectively punish France, unless the Israel continues to be backed by the United States in order to punish their own allies for recognizing Palestine as a country/state.

It would be quite shocking to see the United States applying sanctions against their own allies in the European continent. But keeping in mind the United States had called Israel their most important ally, I would not be surprised...
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Two States for Two Peoples on: September 25, 2025, 03:57:27 PM
Be that as it may, thanks to the Palestinian Liberation Organization Hamas, the world community's conscience has finally awakened and given the Palestinian people the right to their own state.

There is nothing to thank Hamas for, it is actually disturbing some people could be willingly be thankful for Hamas, considering Hamas actually started all this situation by massacring civilians in Israel who were enjoying a concert.
There is nothing to thank to terrorists for, there supposed to be forced to be disbanded and separated from governance of Gaza Strip and Palestine in general.

Also, more countries in the west recognize Palestine as a state does not mean anything as long as Israel and the United States do not respect Palestinian territories and civilians as citizens of their own state.
8  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Has science defeated religion? on: September 25, 2025, 03:46:56 PM
I think religion is never going to be defeated by science, regardless how much time comes and goes.
Because religion and science are supposed to be to try to answer separate questions which have nothing to do with one another in modern world. If religion and science were competing directly, then science would have destroyed Islam and christianism and very long time ago, and it has not.

Thousands of years are going to past and yet there will be churches and priest for people to try to fill the void within their life.

To this day, there are phenomena which cannot be explained by science.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The benefits of investing in altcoins on: September 25, 2025, 03:41:24 PM
Altcoins are cryptocurrency other than bitcoin, or the cryptocurrency created after bitcoin and as much as they risky investment, they are not also without some benefits.
The creation of altcoins gives room for innovation:Altcoins are innovative cryptocurrency because different altcoin with their different functions and the creators are always looking for a way of solving problems by creating coins with clear use cases and investing in them can be profitable sometimes.

Altcoins gives room for diversification: In cryptocurrency investment, diversification is very important as it enables you to spread your risk among various cryptocurrency ,should in case any one did not do well, you can cover up with other ones.

The biggest advantage alternative currencies have is the potential for higher profit and also networks which are faster and cheaper than Bitcoin.
Though, how the market stands today it is pretty much a hard task to be able to select a legitimate alternative currency before it explodes in price and market capitalization.

One could end up scammed pretty easily, so it is better just to have some of one's money staked in Bitcoin, instead of doing the same with shitcoins.
10  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jimmy Kimmel back on the air! on: September 24, 2025, 11:37:45 PM
Why are mainstream media & big companies so woke, it’s embarrassing. By appeasing a very small amount of very vocal people, they are losing lots of customers. I mean look at Jaguar Land Rover, they had that woke, gay ass ad & their stock price tanked. Going back to Disney they did it not long back too, having that ugly girl play Snow White, absolutely ridiculous. Go Woke Go Broke.

It is about pushing a narrative I guess.
After all, all mainstream media is aligned with the Democrat party and those who are not, are aligned with the Republican party, it is a duopoly of power, which keep power in the United States hostage.

Also, you should take a look at OSG funds (I think that is how they are called). It is money which are given to organizations for promoting "woke" agendas, so even though stock prices go down and they lose costumers, in the end of the day the one affected ones are those who are shareholders, the CEOs manage to pocket a good slice of money from those funds.

I believe it is being pushed by billionaries and hedge-funds with leftist political ideas.
11  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why are politicians not truthful? on: September 24, 2025, 11:29:52 PM
It has been so much on me really thinking why our politicians are not really truthful to our society
All they do is lies and lies to their people.
Why all this lie

FEAR OF LOSING ELECTION
I have come to know through some research that politicians lies because they don't want to lose their elections and also to gain more popularity than they ever imagined, and they believed telling the society the truth can cost them their ambition.

GROUP PRESSURE: Politicians lies because of some pressure groups who trait them of supporting another person, they have no options to promise what they can not afford.

GREED a greedy politician can never tell the smallest truth ever, because of money involvement they prefer to have it all by themselves rather than using it for the benefit of the society.
Just wondering why most politicians are like that?

It is because politicians are in positions of power and sadly power will always corrupt people to certain degree, absolute power corrupts absolutely, as someone said once.
So when they first enter their office and start to work for the people, they realize they are now able to do things which are morally and politically questionable and get away with it. That is when they need to start covering up all their faults and lie on order not to lose power.

Once politicians learn to live a life with power, they believe they cannot continue their life without it as common people, so corruption begins.

We all are human beings, so we can never be fully free from selfishness and evil, and those bad characteristics start to grow further when power is reached.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Is a University Degree Still Worth Anything? on: September 24, 2025, 11:24:24 PM
Well, in my country getting a degree is still quite affordable with compared to the rest of the developed world, so most people go for it, get some experience and then move to some developed country, where there are specialized jobs which require previous experience
I have known about metalurgical and mechanicals engineers who get their degree here in my country, get a job easily here and then move to Spain or the United States.
From my own point of view, low-skill jobs are the ones at the highest risk of being tackled down by artificial intelligences and robots, while specialized tasks will continue to be done by human beings for some decades ahead.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake it til you make it? on: September 24, 2025, 11:18:42 PM

... Do you take inspiration from the rich people or do they make you feel worse?

Actually, I try not to think too much avoid it.
There will be always someone richer than one and someone in a better position than one, in the same manner there will be always be millions of people living in poverty, who cannot even afford to eat properly.

One needs to have both a certain amount of inspiration and push to move forward and improve with time, but at the same time, we need to be grateful for what we have accomplished and what we have.

Also, life is not a straight path, it comes with ups and downs, there have been rich people who end up in misery and miserable people who have managed to get rich. Money comes and goes.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Trump announces new golden visa scheme on: September 24, 2025, 11:14:40 PM
This is just another example that in the United States and within their society you can always get away from problems and solve any problem you got as long as you have enough money in the pocket, that's it.
It is very telling how in the eyes of Trump is more important to have wealthy people in the country instead of focusing on acquiring professional talent from overseas.

The United States is a hub for skilled professionals from around the world to contribute to their society and move there permanently, it seems none of that matters as long as you are rich.

If trump wants more Americans to be part of the economy as skilled workers, then he should make college more affordable, instead of cutting those job visas.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is Pi coin the next Luna ? on: September 24, 2025, 04:09:36 PM
To be honest, what happened to Luna can happen again to other cryptocurrencies. We just don't know which one will suffer the same fate.

Now, if you're asking about Pi, if I were to look at its similarity, first, Pi doesn't have its own exchange, unlike Luna, which had FTX, if I'm not mistaken.
So, if I had to choose, even though I don't like Pi, I'd probably choose Pi over Luna, which is now Lunc, right?

The case of Luna and FTX did not have anything to do with one another, though. The fall of FTX was accelerated by the fall of Luna, but it was pretty much about mismanagement of resources by FTX administration.

What truly happen with Luna and terra-luna had to do with a high yield protocol which attracted many people with their very large percentage (when compared to a traditional bank), and the fact the stablecoins was not baked by anything but algorithms and Luna itself.

In the case of Pi, I am not very informed about that project, but almost any project which has not been proven in the long term could suffer the same fate Terra-Luna suffered.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RWA taking the stage on CEXs on: September 24, 2025, 04:02:50 PM
For me, RWA (Real World Assets) aren’t really that different from stock market assets, actually. So if it were up to me, I’d rather stay in cryptocurrency because I’m more familiar with and knowledgeable about the movements here compared to that RWA category. Plus, it also seems like the risk is higher there than in the crypto space.

...

You gotta keep in mind there is an important difference between tradicional stock markets and those RWA tokens running on chain.
There are millions of people around the world who would like to invest on American and European stocks and they can't because their do not comply with requirements, are unbanned or brokers are not affordable for them.
In the case of Venezuelans, we cannot easily access the those stocks because there are not brokers here who can offer us the chance to invest.

With the help of RWA tokens people in developing countries will have the chance the invest for the very first time in American markets, without having to rely on traditional brokers.

I get the point you’re trying to make here, dude. For me, the issue with RWA is that its regulations are still uncertain, unlike the stock market which is already well-established and proven.
Also, given the fact that RWA has the advantage of transparency because of the blockchain it uses.

However, whether you admit it or not, the risk level in RWA is still higher compared to the stock market. And we also know which of the two is more prone to scams.
But in the end, it’s still up to us in the community whether we choose to buy into it or not.

Sure, Real world assets tokens are more prone to scams, problem of liquidity and trust in general, but that could be because we are talking about instruments which are very new on this ecosystem so people are being cautious about getting their money into those tokens, that is completely normal when a new instrument is introduced to people.

Though, if everything goes according to plan and liquidity is high enough for anyone to make their operations at a good pace, we should see an increase of volume of those tokens, as there are many people who will ppt to invest in them, due to the lack of access to brokers in a traditional way.

The downside would be people from developed countries like the USA and Europe to be banned from using those tokens, as they would be classified as unregistered securities.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Loss That Taught Me on: September 24, 2025, 10:37:53 AM
I once held onto a coin as it dropped, convincing myself it would bounce back. Instead, it kept falling. Selling felt like failure, but holding felt worse.

That loss hurt, but it forced me to face reality: not every project recovers. Risk management isn’t just advice,it’s survival.Have you ever learned more from a loss than from a win?

Well, people usually learn more from their mistakes and their failures than they do from their success, that is a fact.  So naturally, it is part of the trading experience and also investing experience to commit mistakes and lose money for the sake of experience.

In my case, I have lost money in the past because I decided to invest some bucks in Litecoin while the whole cryptocurrency market was experiencing a bull market.
It learned the lesson and since then I pay more attention to what I add to my portfolio and when I do it.

Now that we are in rug pull mode, the only deadline left is next month. I'm curious to see how this all concludes. The expiry of the domain.

I would be surprised if they allowed their domain to get expired and didnt pay their provider, to be honest.
It is peanuts to them, considering the amounts of Bitcoin they have managed to stockpile through the years. As far as it concerns me, they could easily run the web for another decade without being held into account.
Unfortunately, there will always be gamblers unaware of what is going on with this casino and fall victim of this lack of liquidity.

Also, why do you say they are now in full rug pull? What has changed between some weeks ago until now?
