1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Introducing Apollo II on: February 29, 2024, 02:44:03 PM
@jstefanop
The noise level for the ECO mode [less than 40 dba] is good for home miners, but I'm curious to know what the noise levels are on the TURBO mode [especially for using custom settings to get it up to 11 TH/s].

It's a 7k RPM fan and Turbo mode ~9-10TH sits at around 55dB @5-6kRPM depending on local environment. If you max it out you'll max out the RPMs and will prob be over 60db.

We left a lot overhead on the original Apollo BTC (and mostly limited by the 6 Pin power connectors). Now that we eliminated that with internal PSU and high gauge internal connections the limitation is cooling on the high end and noise levels are much louder but wanted to give everyone the option to take full advantage of the ASICs especially in winter/heating conditions.

In short turbo mode will live up to its name this time so dont expect to be able to run it in your bedroom. I would say up to 8TH or so is doable in most room settings based on my personal testing.

So when is the release date for this..

I see futurebit is coming out with the Apolo II , soon there will no help...for this one  https://twitter.com/FutureBit/status/1728986544898277693

They plan on releasing the new software for Apollo v1 users so I don't see them dropping support
That is great news..

Has anyone had an issue with the miner not working? I wanted to switch out the fan with the one on Future Bit website, but it does not fit. My power cord stopped working and I think it might have burnt up the plug on the machine. I switched out the PCIE plug but it still does not work. Does Future Bit offer a way to send back to them to get it fixed?
Any suggestions please.
This Thread is Dead, Support here is dead, FutureBit dosent care about the problems we have, I have two miners with issues , and no one cares

Me too. We were supposed to get firmware update like a year or so ago...clearly thats not happening now. One of my PCIe ports is blackened and melted and his only response was for me to pay someone to fix it.

What are u going to do fix it??

Is FutureBit dead? Their last news post was back in April, just wondering.
I think so, the Futurebit  LTC  miner Thread
is dead as a door knob

Does anyone know that the owner/inventor of this miner responds? I sent an email through the customer service link on the website but never heard anything. My LTC minor burnt up at the power supply connection. Wanting to see if things are repairable. I've been running it straight on The Middle performance setting. Realized the other day I didn't see any activity. Plug where the power supply plugs to the miner was black and crumbled apart. Don't remember how to attach pictures here.

Yea , i have been trying to get a response for my issue, but Futurebit just took our money and ran for the hills.... Support for our Futurebit products are EXTINCT
20  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official FutureBit Apollo BTC Software/Image and Support thread on: May 04, 2023, 07:36:29 PM
Hello,
I've been running the BTC miner with full node for a while now, but since this week end the node randomly goes offline and does not reconnect.
Anyone having this issue? I need the node to stay online.
The miner is still mining but the node just goes offline

I have been having the exact same issue, which means it's not us but something wrong on futurebit's end. I wrote them and they never wrote back  Huh
Good luck trying to get support, its almost non existent, if not EXTINCT...
