1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DeFiChain - DFI [unofficial, unmoderated] on: December 03, 2020, 12:02:19 AM
I am seriously impressed with how quickly this functionality has been implemented. I've been following the project from the beginning and it seems like the mainnet was launched only yesterday. Wink

Once Bitcoin's market capitalization reaches relevant heights, true DEXs will be vitally important to maintain decentralization - the Defichain, with this feature alone, adds significant value to the crypto space. And it allows a wider audience to get into Bitcoin: I've played around with the app and exchanged plug&play USDT to DFI and BTC without KYC. Seamless experience, it doesn’t get much easier than that.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Regulation Coin Mixers on: October 27, 2020, 12:47:41 PM
Are there non custodial and decentralized coin mixers?
If not so, are they possible?
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Regulation possible? Regulation Inevitable? on: October 26, 2020, 03:53:54 AM
In 10 years, knowledge about Bitcoin will be mainstream.
But will enough people have adapted to this mainstream by then?

Once it has become mainstream, a group of countries - or even the IMF itself - could regulate all access to Bitcoin. Tracking coins and banning the sale of coins for fiat by exchanges if they come from certain regions ( exchanges, wallet suppliers). Illegalization of the exchange of Fiat for Bitcoin, with the regulation again targeting exchanges as entry points.

This regulates Bitcoin itself.

Is this possible?
How can we defend Bitcoin against it?

Well.. the person that got me into crypto is also on the team that has created the chain. : D
Nevertheless. I’d love love to know what veterans that aren’t in the teams followership think about their vision - if they are working in the right or wrong direction. If they will be able to push forward DLT and Bitcoin adoption or not.

Thanks for the advice, I learn more every day  Cheesy
DerGigi and Guy Swan help me a lot, and I read a lot of whitepapers.

Sry, you’re right. I haven't formulated exactly what I'm looking for.
As guessed, I’m new to crypto - ignored it for a long time but when I lately started education myself, I found answers to questions I was having for nearly 5 years.
Bitcoin has inspired me, and I am looking for other currencies that could help it to change the world.
There is a lot of content about Bitcoin and IOTA. But I couldn't find a lot of discussions about Defichain. So I decided to create it. The discussion can be investment-wise but i think more are trying to figure out how to bring Bitcoin and the ones connected to it to global scale. The moon is only the perk that comes along with us discovering cryptographic money before it becomes mainstream.
I wanted to know whether someone here has heard about the chain, whether you think that future companies might publish their shares on DLTs, if the vision will help us to rebuild sound money and finances or not. Whether someone might want to discuss the implications of the chain’s vision on our life and economy with me.

On second thought it might be better to rename the channel to “DeFiChain & what is necessary for having the appropriate ecosystem for all financial services of the traditional economy to transition safely to DLTs?”. Is that possible?

And yeah.. glad to be here. Honestly, I did not expect so many answers so soon.
