Is the florin price below the IPO price?
More people like MUNT, florin is ok for holding but MUNT getting gulden nft early next year. The problem with MUNT and Florin and will be same with the NFT is blockhut only raises funds from dev funds and nft sales. Blockhut can be cleared of funds and 100s of users waiting to buy which would normally drive the value up but it doesn't. Most of the community don't want to buy on exchanges. When Gulden was on litebit and Nocks the price was higher. This is why Gulden missed out on the last bull market. We only start to understand how important Nocks was for Gulden, maybe one day a new Nocks will come. |

I believe we'll see Florin in the top 100 coinmarketcap ranking in the next upcoming years.
It will require effort from the Captain. No sitting back and shouting decentralisation is going to get a coin into the top 100 or top 300. Well since "the Captain" announced that he sold the premine, and that the project is fully decentral. CMC Ranking: 1500 > 640 Price: 3 euro > 200+ euro So how is that possible if you claim what you claim? Funny how you guys went from: Rijk sucks!!! to THE PROJECT NEEDS RIJK in like, 6 weeks  When you create a premine or other ways of remuneration you accept responsibility for the coin. With coins like doge the community has to get together to make it work because no one is gaining from their efforts besides investors who took the risk. I prefer coins with a Captain that steers the ship and the community provides support around the direction the ship is steered. Rijk has personal gain from the Florin premine, I didn't see it shared with all the florin investors. Therefore whatever contract he made with the premine buyers is to his and their personal benefit. Rijk will have to jump at their every request so no decentralization exists and this is why florin has a chance. After 8 years taking a premine and reward and claiming decentralization, does not work hand in hand and we see the results with Gulden. |

It doesn't hurt me shit, the Dutch losers who dump Gulden are buying Florin, I know that coin is fucked in the long run. Pong ping puff the magic fucking dragon trader of billions is the biggest clown show of them all. Can't wait for that fucker to buy Florin. I might be a cunt but I am not a retard, i told ya'll on discord I happy trading above 30 sat, but if it makes you feel better you can blame me for the price. I will watch the Florin show with popcorn, see you in 6 months Rijk with your next coin, word of advice don't tell those losers next time and you might have a shot at success. I sold 90% of my Gulden when Rijk said on slack he has no more Gulden, made a loss for supporting the coin the last 5 years but once the captain leaves the ship sinks. All my crypto profits came from Cardano this 2 years and I am in a good position. Moral of the story, don't keep all your eggs in one basket. |

today Rijk also announced that the premine of Florin.org , which was planned for Airdrop on holders and marketing/development was sold to a third party. (maybe not really for Gulden thread but since both projects are linked)
This is a good time not to have a flroin witness account while the price pumping. I have made a extra 22 Florin from the pump and dump. Sorry for the witness people that won't get the airdrop but at least less risk of people dumping the coin when the price pumps hard. Not many will care about the airdrop but if this price drops the complaints will come.

The third party is Rijk. Did you really think he was going to give the premine away in a airdrop? It's the same script with Gulden, airdrop at the start and then taken for himself. Maybe, maybe not, we will know if it's Rijk because there won't be any marketing.  Not to joke but florin is better off with third party investors, florin is the same as the Gulden community but with much less people. The gulden community have great people but not rich enough to help Gulden financially and much less money to help Florin. |

Has this coin made any new development after the reward change, what is next?
No new development. NFT next? My brother wants to buy a million coins at this price but want to make sure development team still exists and plans for marketing, and is there plans to grow in the Asian market? if your brother is ok with a stable price then Gulden is not a bad option, this might be the new bottom after the reward change. |

My friend told me Amazon.nl will accept Gulden soon, is this true?
Bitvavo exchange listing soon. Rijk working long hours every day for Gulden. It's disappointing to see loads of coins listing on bitvavo and not Gulden. The problem is the founder is not actively pursuing opportunities for this coin. Rijk only wants to deal with development, it is up to the community to make the coin a success he says. It's not like Cardano where the founder does everything from development, promoting, interviews, partnerships, conferences etc, but you also paying a high premium in price for this effort. This is what keeps Gulden cheap, the developers don't interfere with how the community wants to use Gulden. I have said many times on slack that Gulden needs a captain to steer the ship but Rijk wants to keep the blockchain decentralized and same with the work load. The Gulden development used to be top 20 but has slowed with Novo. |

Thanks for the recap post. Well written by the blogger. I feel like I entered Gulden at a good time. I had trouble updating the new wallet on my laptop, took 3 days over wifi but my desktop update was under 1 hour. The laptop has my 3 witness accounts and the desktop is used for mining. The laptop is about 5 years old but is a strong one, i was stupid, only after it finished I thought about connecting a physical internet cable from the router into my laptop, maybe my wifi connection was the problem.I also have the same issue updating over wifi, when I used ethernet cable from router the sync was quick. |

Will there be new wallets for the reward halving? 24 days to go from my calcs. Who is calling the shots with Gulden these days? Waiting for a delay announcement to milk the high rewards for longer but maybe I will be surprised AGAIN! It is Rijk and the GAB, if they delay it's not all bad, the 700 million max supply will come faster. |

Today I smile for the first time in a long time when it comes to Gulden. Lots of pamphlets have been delivered to areas in the Netherlands to spread the word about Gulden and it's advantages, this is the best news ever for investors. The devs beat my expectations. Thank you! |

The reward halving is going to help Gulden maintain a good price in the next bear market. Bitvavo will also help.
I have a friend who is willing to trade Gulden when it comes to bitvavo, he is trading with more then 100k Euro across a few coins. This is 1 person, bitvavo will open many doors for Gulden. He doesn't want to sign up to bittrex to trade as he wants to keep his trading on 1 platform. The funding will work better after the reward change. No BTC or ETH donation options and we must rely on a higher Gulden price that will come with less rewards per block starting in August. |

of course, any monkey can create a bitcoin address which is why I think the deal can be that bitvavo wants Gulden as part of the listing arrangement. |

Interesting discussions after I was here last time. Some Bitcointalk slang too, of course, but that's part of the game.
I just wanted to clarify what exactly the plan is regarding the supply and reward adjustment.
As you can see on Github, the supply adjustment is already in the code, so only the rewards / halving needs to be added. We are following the advisory board and our intention is to adopt this adjustment as well. However, we need to find out what the possible consequences of this drastic change are. That has nothing to do with our opinion. Our job is to do what the majority of users (community) want.
What we need to find out is, above all, the Witness/Mining ratio. In the design of Witness, no account was taken of a situation where Witness gets more than Miner. Economically that may be very good, but in terms of security and stability it should be too. We are going to look into that and if it turns out that there are significant risks then we will feed that back to the Advisory Board. If there are no significant risks, we will, of course, implement the change. This has nothing to do with the dev reward, which can be adjusted.
At the moment we are in the middle of the Witness Sync development, which will mean a huge improvement in terms of synchronisation. We hope to be able to test it this month and start working on the reward topic immediately after Witness Sync.
This research will not take months and the implementation in the code is not very complex. The change is planned for August.
At Novo, such changes have already been made and will come into effect around the summer. The reason why the change was made so easily there is mainly because Novo is still very small. So if something still needs to be changed, it can be done easily. We often test something with Novo first, and then apply it to Gulden. That is the advantage of being able to efficiently maintain two projects.
These changes have given me lots of motivation to promote Gulden. |

Are you mentally challenged?
Of course the rewards are fine, Novo has 0.1 reward for mining and witnessing and that will change to 0.025 for miners and 0.075 for witness and Novo was secure at less then $1. The announced reward halving for Novo was also announced while the price was close to $1
With Gulden my guess is they want to determine the block the first drop must occur and other administrative checks.

Rijk said they are going to figure out the security implications first and only start looking after Witness sync. Waiting to hear when we will have answer from @Dev or @GAB They can risk it with Novo because it's not a well known coin and not much support on the exchange but I won't buy Novo if they are worried about security with the Gulden change. It's good they take time to investigate because Gulden is more popular and more funds at risk. |

I feel too betrayed to invest in another coin of this teams. 7 years of dev given to Novo for free which was paid by the community and Gulden community as a thank you gets double the reward from 80 to 160. Novo gets what we wish for but you can't complain about it because the people on slack are too scared the price drops more to speak negative in front of new users. They all waiting to sell when the price is up including me and I have a lot of coins to sell but I am done!

It is what it is with Gulden, I can't be angry because Rijk didn't scam or run away from this coin. He also consults with the community well in the last 9 months. It is a sad story because Gulden deserves more credit, I did give my input but most responses thought my input was not helpful.
Nothing will change because the rewards are needed for development funding and if the max supply is changed to < 600 million the rewards will run out too quickly. Gulden is stuck where it is and changes can't be made to max supply and reward.
I understand why litecoin also followed bitcoin with reward halving every 4 years because it makes each coin more valuable for the same or more demand and traders and investors always look at future value.
Why must I pay more for something if the high quantities keep flowing in, that is stupid and not common sense.

Novo has it's total supply reduced from 10 billion to 210 000, this is why the price has jumped 200% in 24hrs. This is a test for Gulden to reduce max supply from 1.6 billion to 600 million and drop rewards by 90%? This is will be a welcome move for Gulden! It will be unfair if 1 project of Rijk does this but not the other.

Before I go in big, what am I missing? All this in 1 month and reward dropping 75% in 6 months, why is the price so bad? What reward drop are you talking about? That’s not happening. Same amount of buyers with less reward always equals higher price, higher price brings more buyers as they also want to make money. |

E-gulden close to passing nlg marketcap to become the premium currency for the Dutch. Low inflation and proof that money does not need to be smart, it need to be scarce so the value can increase. All the fast development Gulden has before Novo and people want to hold a coin with low supply.
I only agree with the bolded part but doge and digibyte prove high supply coins can have high marketcaps. Doge supply is 128 billion and increasing rapidly daily and has the same satoshi price as Gulden, Digibyte has 14 billion coins and 3 times Guldens price. The difference is digibyte has a reward decrease of 1% every month and a total of 21 billion. Investors like it when new supply rate is reduced frequently. To match digibytes marketcap Gulden would need to go to 2700 satoshi. |
