In recent times, Nigeria has witnessed an alarming rise in incidents where young people are robbed of their crypto fortunes by individuals allegedly parading as police officers. These cases are not isolated. Across different states, several victims have shared their painful experiences online. On Instagram, popular Nigerian activist Harrison Gwamnishu (@harrison_gwamnishu) has documented numerous accounts of such unfortunate encounters.

Today, a large number of Nigerian youths are crypto-minded. Many own crypto wallets on their phones, holding significant fortunes they’ve worked hard to build. Sadly, this has made them prime targets. Imagine being stopped at a checkpoint, threatened at gunpoint, and forced to transfer your crypto assets into a wallet provided by these so-called officers—who take advantage of the anonymity of crypto transactions and the lack of strong crypto regulation in our country.

So far, no meaningful justice has been served to the victims. These criminals often go scot-free, leaving behind traumatized, impoverished young entrepreneurs whose only “crime” is striving to build a future through digital assets.

This is a call for awareness. Young crypto entrepreneurs in Nigeria must be vigilant and take proactive steps to secure their wallets from unidentified men posing as police officers. Beyond awareness, it is high time that a structured organization—possibly working hand in hand with federal security agencies—be established to combat crypto-targeted armed robberies in Nigeria.

Our youths cannot continue to suffer in silence. If we do not spread the word, more lives, dreams, and futures will be cut short by these criminals on our roads and checkpoints. This menace must be addressed before it further destroys the spirit of innovation and enterprise among Nigerian youths.

My Autobiography won’t be completely done without discerning my Bitcoin journey, more especially the ups and down of Bitcoin, yeah I know it is the volatility nature of the coin and the most interesting part.

A Bitcoin enthusiasts is a living legend, in the course of my Bitcoin journey I once worried about what happens to my Bitcoin when I die but now I worry no more because in my autobiography I would be allocating my Bitcoin wallets to my love ones, given each the specific hardware that contains the wallet details and personalized access.

For the years of believing in the technology, mining here and there, holding, buying, selling, researching, late nights, risks etc
I have come to a realization that Bitcoin is a great spice to my autobiography because of it’s fun filled experience, knowledges and financial leverages.

I read your post carefully and I can categorically tell you that there's no point pushing this narrative, life's a rollercoaster, the so called poor man today with no bitcoin could be a multi bitcoin holder in the nearest future.
A bitcoin enthusiast might be struggling financially today but that doesn't kill the bitcoin desire in them, owning bitcoin is a financial journey, could be slow and steady because every satoshi matters.

 The big question is can you live without kidney? I guess the answer is NO so therefore Bitcoin is the kidney of digital currencies.

Why did I say this;  many atimes I hear people using Bitcoin volatility nature to excuse themselves for not investing.

Bitcoin has attracted even world great men and made them believe in blockchain technology. It's not an underlying factor that Bitcoin is a great accumulation of worth. I persive Bitcoin as the emperor, the conquerer and game changer for any jack striving to survive in digital currencies. It's influence cannot be overemphasize, Bitcoin have a multilateral influence in a large number of multi national industries, and could transform a number of sectors globally ranging from agricultural sectors, medicals, logistics sectors are also beneficiaries of Bitcoins, it supply energies to even the  centralized systems.

I'm originally from a society where, enthusiasts are optimistic that Bitcoin existence is part of a daily activities. Bitcoin influence makes it a fascinating investment to enthusiasts and also gives promising future for other altcoins. Bitcoin is endowed with tight security technology and has long term store of value.

Saving money in the bank is different from Bitcoin investment. If you deposit money in the bank it gives you low or no income and still your capital remains intact. But in that of Bitcoin case it is risky because you may loose half of your money within short period of time and at the same time make triple of your money within short period of time. So in all it better to have some of your money saved in the bank for taking care of some things and also some in Bitcoin and wait till the price increase.

Yes it is possible to make profit in Bitcoin but that is only when u hold then wait for the price to increase. And if u can't wait for the price to increase you can also trade.

No doubt people make profit in Bitcoin trading but the idea of making it a full time job is a no no to me  reasons being that Bitcoin price is volatile. You may or may not make any profit at the end of a month. But when you have a job you know that at the end of the month a particular amount will be paid to you. But on the other hand your friend needs deep understanding and  knowledge about Bitcoin I understand you told him about the profit and lose but then it is not enough he needs a deeper knowledge for him to excel more in Bitcoin world.

Actually is not up to 10yrs I know Bitcoin but then I have known Bitcoin since 2018 and that was after it's ATH in 2017. Since then  I have seen Bitcoin price fluctuate but still I won't say it is a bad experience and I also believe that before my 10yrs experience in Bitcoin I will make a huge profit  and I believe it 😀😀

It is possible due to the fact that the world is evolving but still it needs time is not something that will happen now. Yeah I agree with you that trading Bitcoin is secure and safe but when it comes to quick money making I don't agree with u totally, for an individual to trade and make money in Bitcoin you first of all need knowledge and experience
