1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can i trade also on some chinesse exchange? on: January 07, 2014, 12:59:37 PM
Hello
Can i also trade (buy/sell) bitcoins at some chinese exchange...? I mainly mean...:

1) Is it posible regarding the law, or can only chinese residence trade on chinesse exchanges?
2) Do they (the exchanges) want some proof of ID of mine before they will allow me to trade (or deposit cash or bitcoin)?
3) Is there any chinesse exchange (any bigger one?) that has also english as their native language (or does google translator do a good job in translating these?)
4) Can i get my money out of the chinesse exchnage somehow in cash?

If yes, what exchnage site does concretely fit all the points of my description?

1. You need a bank account, which requires that you are a Chinese resident, or an taobao & Alipay account, which requires that you are either a Chinese resident, a resident of Hong Kong SAR, a resident of RAE Macau, or a Taiwan resident.

2. They do not need proof of ID, but they require your ID information.

3. Almost all of them.

4. Unless you come to China in person.

China's national TV CCTV1 gives some free advertisement on Bitcoin, so people are making news on it. No one has actually purchased a house with Bitcoin so far.

Attention please!

Please note that there has been no success in transferring money out of MT4 account so far.
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLenders, Inputs.io, Tradefortress (HACK) on: November 12, 2013, 12:35:15 PM
I just noticed that windywinter claims to have gotten 100% refund of his CL balance on november 7th.
I got curious to why he got a refund when no one else to my knowledge has.

Now, there are a few things that might explain this.
- Maybe windywinter mistook/mistyped CL balance with inputs.io balance or something.
- He's close friend with TF.
- He requested the refund early enough, before TF had realized that he just could not refund everyone who requests it.

So, windywinter, if you don't mind answering my questions, it would be great!

1) Can you confirm that you actually mean CL balance, and not inputs.io balance?
2) Are you close friend with TF or do you have any other reason to get "special treatment"?
3) You made the post on Nov. 7th, which still was quite early in this whole process, when did TF send the transaction?

I just got my full balance in CL out (over 20 BTC). Although transaction hasn't been confirmed yet, I now declare that TF has earned my full trust.
A PM is sent to windywinter requesting him to have a look on this post.

1) CL balance.
2) No. I believe I had zero communication with windywinter prior to this.
3) The payment was made before it was decided to delay withdrawals instead of using limited funds to do first come first serve.

Well. It took me half an hour to write my previous post and in the mean time TF posted another post, so I think I'll have to add something more.

Actually I have contacted TF once before this incident. At that time inputs.io was suffering DDoS and one of my withdraw from CL got missing.

I was a little busy during the recent 3 days so I stopped following the news regarding to CL. And I'm not a native English speaker so I'll skip everything in this thread and jump directly to answer these questions addressed to me. If there were anything else I should know please brief me later and I'll happy to add my opinion.

1. Yes, I mean CL balance. I do not use inputs.io except for deposit and withdraws on CL.
2. I think I haven't got the right to regard myself as a friend of TF's. Actually, I know little about TF except that he was active on this forum and a lot of people trusted him. I even do not know his nationality before this incident.  If there were any reasons for me to get a "special treatment", I believe they are beyond my knowledge.
3. TF sent the transaction (a0f289b2e8b2d2f255aef460f5e77459c4f75dbba03db213f1f0ead0e8ce1c3d) on Nov. 7th and it got confirmed 2 days later.

Actually, there is a little more details I'd like to add. I got 26.04301688 BTC at the moment I sent the request and 2 withdraws of 1 BTC and 0.5 BTC which never show up in inputs.io account. TF sent me 27.54 BTC and I took it as "full amount". TF sent the transaction on Nov. 7th, however, because he sent some other transactions that day without fees and those transactions' output were used as inputs for this transaction, this transaction stayed unconfirmed for a long time, which is enough for blockchain.info to delete it from their database. So TF sent another transaction of 26.04301688 BTC on Nov. 9th. When I asked about the 2 missing withdraws, TF said those coins would come back to my CL account in the coming days with the CL update. I think this means that CL will restore to normal and continue to operate.

Well, the end of my story is that those unconfirmed inputs of the first transaction (27.54 BTC) got confirmed first and caused a double spending on the 2nd transaction (26.04301688 BTC), and the first transaction got confirmed a short while later. So I got 27.54 BTC in the end, which I still regard as "full amount".

If there's anything more you would like to know, please send a PM. I'll still be a little busy in the coming few days but I'll find the time to answer them.

lucky ...i have about 19+btc in CL, i am worry about it..

I think you don't have to worry anymore if you are not in need of your coins right now.
If you want your coins back now, send an email with your bitcoin address to support@inputs.io. I guess TF is processing refunds to users as we speak, just give him a little more time.

did you mail coinlenders support?

I mailed to support@inputs.io

Hi,

This claim involves CoinLenders which will be handled soon. Due to major hacks, Inputs does not have enough BTC to repay everyone fully which has also affected CoinLenders. If you have had balance shown on Inputs.io, we're dividing up the coins we do have left based on a sliding scale, and have sent it to the specified address. On your Inputs account, your balance should have flipped to the negative to indicate you've received a refund.

We apologize sincerely for the lost Bitcoins. It's been a very hard lesson for us, and we're sorry that we have to pass it onto our users. Please respond to the email if you have any queries

I just saw the same reply.
It's gonna be a bad week for me.

At least we know TF will pay us back now. Let's give him a little more time.
I need those coins right now because I have to settle some future contacts, perhaps TF considered my situation and decided to cash me out first.

This doesn't look good, https://inputs.io shows this message.

Two hacks have left Inputs unable to pay

Woah, this admittedly IS looking bad now Sad TradeFortress, please give us an update?
I have some feelings that you won't see any updates from Inputs.io!  Sad

I just replied to your email, asking for your Bitcoin address.

Will we be able to retrieve the coins in CoinLenders too?

coins in coinlenders is still ok, right?

Since it's also operated by TF, I cannot assume so. CoinLenders has stopped withdrawing two days ago.

I met TF and I don't think he's a scamer.

Maybe he empty the hot wallet to avoid any risk while he
fix the inputs . io  mess. I think we should wait until the things
are solved and give a chance to TF to fix all the latest problems.

Any man is a good man until the time when he turns bad.

TF is working on it. Apparently it only happened to accounts with API key enabled.

Coinlenders wasnt compromised, coinlenders doesnt even have an API option. You are referencing inputs.io "side channel" attack in which accounts with the API function enabled were affected.

Trust is the most important thing right now
This & patience. Of course when I need my BTC allocated here this happens. The irony....

I am sure the issue with coinlenders is related to TF's practice of keeping BTC in cold storage. The news got out of the inputs.io side channel attack (maybe even some people think coinlenders was compromised). People panic, pull their BTC from coinlenders, depletes the hot wallet now were getting the ugly end of the stick. Try and stay low stress peoples. Inputs.io was nominated as a silver member of the bitcoin Foundation for a reason & TF created inputs.io so im confident in the resolve.

What is happening is that withdraws from coinlenders, which are actually internal transactions between input.io accounts, are not showing up in people's inputs.io accounts. As far as I know, withdraw from coinlenders has nothing to do with cold storage. Furthermore, coinlenders has no hot wallet nor offline wallet at all. What it has is a inputs.io account and it's inputs.io that keeps coins in cold storage.

18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: NEED ADVICE - bitcoin for IMPORT&EXPORT operations in China. on: November 03, 2013, 03:49:33 AM
Since China has not recognized Bitcoin as currency, a Chinese business entity cannot accept Bitcoin as a form of payment.

However, the trade still can be accomplished as a kind of compensation trade, that is, the Chinese side will 'import' a Bitcoin private key as a 'technology' or 'import' a 'service' of sending certain data to Bitcoin network, while export some goods to the foreign side.
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is BTC Deposit to Bitfinex Down? on: June 02, 2013, 11:23:33 AM
Hello,

Deposits has been down for 1 hour, but now all pending deposits has been credited.

For the full story the armory daemon crashed and was not automatically restarted as supposed to. This has been fixed.

Thanks for the alert, please confirm me if for some reason your deposit is not in your account yet.

Best regards
Raphael
Bitfinex team

Confirmed working.

However, I'm sure deposits has been down for far more than 1 hour. My email asking for help was sent 4 hours ago.
