if nothing else, this site has fresh take on the betting scene! but as
JohnBitCo pointed out some of the results will be after more than couple of years. i dont think bettors will bet on that particular items. the results should be known at most 6 months.
There are few markets where the result is very much delayed or unknown. For example, the result of this will be known by the end of 2024. So if i bet on it today, i have to wait for few years until i win or lose on this bet
what is the aim of this betting platform why they are listing questions that are still too far to know the results? it may be interesting but if you are a bettor, it wont be.
One way that I see long-term markets working well for bettor is — for example — in the case that a new story on the subject is published.
Let's say that Elon Musk tweets that SpaceX finished building a new spaceship that could go to Mars in 3 months. That will increase the chances that man goes to mars before 2024. Whoever gets that piece of information first has an advantage and could buy the YES shares before it gets too pricey.
On the other hand, if a bettor already holds the YES shares, it is possible to SELL it at anytime and make a profit. Like here
