Sorry maybe I missed it, but why batch 2 and 3 have different speed ?
Is this means batch 3 has good chips while bad chip put it in batch 2 ?

Yes I know the different clock speed between 575 and 600, but WHY batch 2 can not goes to 600 while it has the SAME chips Huh
Is this means batch 2 not stable to go to 600 ?

Seems QC drop another stage(s)...

SP20s tolerate heat a bit better than S5s, in my experience with a limited data set, but mostly 'cause they are a TON more configurable.
They're quieter, but not a LOT quieter if you are pushing them anywhere near their full hashrate.
They ARE a lot quieter if you undervolt them some, can still get 1.3-1.4 GH with a fairly low noise level and close to S5 efficiency in a cool room.

My "summer" rate here (mid-June to mid-Sep) exceeds 15 cents/KWH during the day easily, due to ToD rate adjustment, the OVERALL is about 14.2 but that's only WITH ToD overall adjustment, without ToD it WOULD be a hair over 15 I believe - this is in Iowa with Alliant's ripoff "tons of extra fees" rate BS. Our rates where I live have gone UP at least 3 cents/KWH in the last 5 years due to Alliant adding way too many surcharges with almost NO reduction in the base rate to compensate.
The rest of the year isn't so bad for those that use a lotta electric - first 1200ish KWH are sorta pricy, but after that it's around 6.7 cents/KWH for the "anything over" third residential tier.

Quote

3.9c for 1kwh, 4.9c for 2kwh, 6c for more than 2kwh, 6mo from GEXA

and after the 6 month "teaser" what does it go to?

I still have 2 S7 coupons available at 0.1 Bitcoin each. I don't live on this board, so don't expect "instant" response to mails, but I WILL get back to you.

Thanks man, thats help me alot.
But seeing your elect up to $0.15 per kwh, how long S5 give you ROI from pure mining (not selling the miner) ?
4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: September 09, 2015, 06:13:32 AM
Not sure about your and my idea of 'quietness' is, but even with fan changes and downclocking to sub 1TH, my S5's were still too loud and annoying to use in my office or anywhere near people. LOL.

Hopefully these new chips run cooler so they don't need a jet engine to fracking cool them off.
My SP20's at the same speeds were 1/2 as loud as my S5's..

LOL
I would like to try SP but already sent my fortune to bitmain. SP20 half loud of S5, but how about its heat ? If its cooler I think I can put it on my office..

R u in USA ? How much elect prices you get ?
I got this :
http://www.eia.gov/electricity/monthly/epm_table_grapher.cfm?t=epmt_5_6_a

Yup, in the Northeast, I pay $0.148 per KwH, but my colo is at $0.10KwH and I have free power available also at a few places if it's not annoyingly loud.

Sad part is, 50% of the price of electricity is all BS fees and taxes. UGH

Free elec, thats looks nice. Did you try to underclock too so less heat and less loud ? I "use" friends in dorm to put some of my S5s (since its elect-free), and I give them half of elect prices, so I give them $20 for every S5 put in there. With this they wont complain of the noises Cheesy

I can't imagine them doing this.   I did not mine in dorms or student housing.  Just was not worth it to me.   You have limited electricity so can't put in enough to make a lot and then you have a noise when your doing homework or have people over.  Just not worth it.

I was always lucky though and had another to mine though.

Because in my country a $20 worth 20 times meals with rice chicken and ice tea. And for 5x S5s basically means a person can eat for a month, 3 times a day. For students in colleges who still supported by their family, they really love antminer. Thats how bitcoin changing "our" world Grin

What's the 25% tax for??

Import taxes is 20% (at custom office) and around 5% for handling fee, spacing cost etc... Import taxes can be reduced if I have import right (usually for enterprise), but for individual import it goes for 20%.

Did bought a ~$400 antminer S5 months ago. With shipment $40+ , tax $100 and PSU bought at local $50 so total almost $600. At that time I get around $60-70 after electricity so without DIFF inc I can ROI for 9 months and hoping I can ROI in 12 months. But in REALITY right now I only got a mere $30 after electricity and you can guess how much I can get after all S7 online around the world.

Actually for ROI I can sells S5 in my country for more than $500, but how could I do that ? Especially for my long-term customers, they are good people and juicy. Yes they so juicy, and I dont want bad people suck on them.

Again I can says antminer S7 is the BEST product right now and so bitmain services. Its just to expensive for home miner. I wish they create under $500 products...

***All my calculated with $0.1 per kwh and I know some of you have more than $0.15 per kwh, and its sucks

Not in the USA.

When S7 release it has more than 12 months BEP (include tax)

Actually, it's BEP per your stated method of calculation of the S7 at release was a little over 8 months, NOT 1 year.
I came up with an estimate that it would be 4 BTC before release based on a 250 day BEP, but that was assuming 2 hash boards 2 strings and therefore a little less than half the TH at a little less than half the power at a BTC price when I made the estimate of a hair more than the release date - given the actual figures, it should have been released at more like 8.5 BTC for a 250 day BEP. (Bitmain appears to assume appx. 10 cent / KWH on their version of your BEP calculation).

I have ZERO CLUE where you are comming up with that "1 year" figure for it, that's not even close given your base assumptions on the calculation unless your electric rate used is quite a bit HIGHER than 10 cents / KWH.

If you calculated with raw number its around $375 usd per THS and its expensive, for start up. But its not fair so I give you the detail, heres my calc :

Setup :
S7 = 1823
PSU = 155
Shipping = 72.45
SUB TOTAL = 2050.45
TAX 25% = 512.6125
TOTAL = 2563.0625 usd

Tax should be 20% but its bullshit since theres smalls charges for whatever

Cost :
Total kwh a month = 1.210 kw x 720h = 871.2
With elec prices 0.1 per kwh = 87.12 usd a month

Income :
Around 300usd (296 last night and 304.2 this morning)

Nett income = 300-87.12 = let say 223 usd a month

So BEP around 2563 divide by 223 usd = 11.49 month

Even all this "good" number is true IF :

*You plug it right now, not next month
*Without diff raising

(right now estimated diff 7%++ and maybe more than 50% when I get the S7 since they sold to local faster)

I love bitmain, I have good quality services and products since the legend antminer S1. But this price is too high for home miner. But then again, nobody can compete bitmain right now or even in February 2016 too.

To expensive, need more disc...

When S2 release it has less than 3 month BEP (include tax)
When S3 release it has less than 6 month BEP (include tax)
When S5 release it has less than 9 month BEP (include tax)
When S7 release it has more than 12 months BEP (include tax)

*All without incr of diff

What is BEP???

Before Earning Profit.

I dont know if you joking but its quite right lol

fits the economic theory-which monopolist ever reduced prices?
competition is needed, but is sorely lacking
I am surprised that there is no second chinese company at par with BM, not even considering US or Europe.
AM is gone, others seem to be half as organized and "internalionalized" as BM.

AGREED
Its expensive, but nobody does better right now...

Care to share clock speed and voltages ?

432 chips = 7.2 times of antminer s5. With only 7.7THS that means it is underclock right ? I think there s many overclock rooms, maybe for 9THS with 4500W

Thanks..

There isn't too much headroom on the S5 and S4+/S5+ (also due to heat) because of the fixed voltage.

Well with default clock and 432 chips it should be 8316 ghs right ? Or it already too hot just go by default clock ?

Since every rooms on my farm has 5500 watt caps, I wish I can get atleast near 5000 watt system. Like that S5+ OC to 4000-4500 watt and around 400 watt more for 1/2 PK AC. It doesnt matter if it goes to 0.6-.065 watt/GHS as long its under 0.7

Thanks...

As you already know, we are contacting exchanges and also placed a bounty in the OP.
Getting on the voting lists would be the first step, so I ask of you to collaborate messaging cryptsy and bittrex, as well as bter and others to get us listed. If they see community support, as well as our presentation letter, they will react.
The hash rate has been stable and high, and the feedback really positive. There is little reason to refuse the listing, since this coin will bring good volume to the exchange it gets added to.
