5  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinbase Warning !!! (Revisited, Somewhat Resolved) on: April 23, 2013, 07:19:20 PM
Just wanted to update that Coinbase made everything right and I too got the "whitelisted" email. Coinbase is A+

I had a transaction cancelled today after waiting the 4 business days for funds to clear.

Strange thing is I have had several successful transaction with Coinbase both buying and selling, so why would an account with several successful transactions be deemed "Risky" all of a sudden? Might the fact that the BTC value had increased since the time of my order have anything to do with it?

It shouldn't take till the last minute to decide the transaction is "risky"

I know they are bashing Bitcoin right now, but otherwise I really enjoy the No Agenda podcast. Both John C Dvorak and Adam Curry put a lot of work into the show and it's unique as a news source.

9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone using btcquick.com for the past 24hrs? on: April 06, 2013, 01:23:44 AM
I have bought from them in the past with no problems and delivery within an hour.

That seems to have changed, I placed an order today, no response, no order confirmation except from Google wallet. I email them several hours later and I get a reply another hour later, saying "you need to buy a membership"Huh I already have a membership, I have purchased before...then I get a reply saying they have sent an SMS to confirm the order? WTF never had to do that before! Now I have replied to the SMS to "confirm" and no reply, no response, no bitcoins...

Is there any way to be notified when stock is added?
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: btcQuick.com Feedback Thread on: March 05, 2013, 04:25:22 AM
+1 for btcQuick.com, went from signup to approved to bitcoin deposited into wallet in less than an hour.

Note: btcQuick.com showed sold out for 1฿, 2฿ and 3฿ to private key, but "Pre-Paid USD to Bitcoin's" worked fine for $40 got 0.99฿

16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Most widely accepted here? MoneyPak, PayPal or Amazon Gift card? on: August 30, 2011, 07:29:37 PM
Hi Sharpy,

MoneyPak - Yes (I see many using this method)
Amazon Gift Card - Yes
PayPal - Never because of chargeback fraud.

n.olmos

Thanks for the reply...I am unfamiliar with MoneyPak, but looking at the website I see I can buy one at lots of local stores. Once purchased,  does a buyer have to physically mail it to a seller or is it possible to somehow transfer it instantly online?Huh...

The Amazon gift card thing seems to be easiest....
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Most widely accepted here? MoneyPak, PayPal or Amazon Gift card? on: August 30, 2011, 06:16:53 PM
I would like to buy Bitcoins from folks in the Marketplace Currency Exchange forum...These delays in ACH depostis to Dwolla or Paxum are a pain...what is the most widely accepted payment method, MoneyPak, PayPal, Amazon Gift card or something else?? I would prefer PayPal but I know that sellers are not to keen to accept that due to the chargebacks that have occurred in the past. I'm looking for $200-$300 USD in Bitcoins.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: August 30, 2011, 01:53:41 PM
I have bought Bitcoins on Trade Hill and used to make purchases. I actually planning on doing trades here. Likely my future traders will want me to leave feedback for them...please whitelist me...

This thread has a post saying the issue has been fixed between Gwolla > Mtgox transfers, although mine still hasn't shown up
