Hi,
..
I then copied these details  into a text file, saved it as an all files type and put in the title area: cash.config

..
thanks

Libby

file needs to be called cashcoin.conf and inside just copy paste this: ensure .txt is replaced by .conf. Folder view options if not seeing extensions.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply back and the steps. unfortunately the first one did not help me much, so I followed your link
and did the steps within that thread. The wallet did start to sync, but then I got the message at the bottom that said
the details were to old, redownload the block chain?Huh How do I do that step please?

It said if it continues to contact the development team??

I hope you can assist me further with getting this sorted.

thanks

Hi,

Can someone here who has a lot of experience help me with a detailed step guide on how
to create my config file and actually save it?

These are the steps I did thus far:

I downloaded the software, copied the config file, and even downloaded the file.

I did not change out any of the details in this file like user name or password, was I suppose to create one here, and if so how please?

I then copied these details  into a text file, saved it as an all files type and put in the title area: cash.config

I then went over to my c://users/app roaming/ section file folder area, and located the Cash folder, I copied and pasted it in there.

I then went to open the wallet back and it does not connect or start syncing.

I sure could use some newbie simple term steps please to follow and get this wallet to function for me.

Please can someone here tell me what I am doing wrong?

thanks

Libby

4  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking For a Open Source Script To track When to visit sites again on: March 21, 2014, 06:52:58 PM
Hello,

I posted this in another thread and it got moved to the right location:) thanks for that.

However, I am still very much needing help with this question on any guidance as to where I might be able to locate
something to simply help me to keep track with a timer like script to be able to go back to these sites when they are due like 30 minutes, 1 hour etc

thanks and look forward to the more experienced members here to post their advice.

Hi Rannasha,

thank you kindly for helping me with my questions, and helping me to better understand some of these terms.

On question number (1)

What I meant is,  do I need to have an "offline wallet" for each of the  197 coins to collect them? Or does one wallet offline
keep all the alter coins in one wallet location please?

On question number (3)

So should I then stop using the online wallet coin base to put my coins into them, or just for the ones I plan on trading out with store there?

If, I understand you right, then I need to download the bitcoin wallet? I have one of the versions downloaded but see that it has been updated?

(Next question) So do I delete the version I have here, or will my version update to the one available here in the forum to download please?

thanks so much again for taking the time to help me with my learning really appreciate it.

look forward to additional help if you wouldn't mind.

Libby

Hi,

I am new here, and learning about the bitcoin, and the other 197 of them Smiley

My question are listed here below that I sure could use some help with:

(1) Do you need to create a wallet offline for each of these coins that you want to collect for?

(2) I created the coin base on line account, and a few of these exchanges, called cryptsy and mint pal so far.

(3) from reading here it seems to be more secure to have an off line wallet to collect the coins into, but then how do get them into say for example Coinbase to use them?

(4) Now I did encrypt the wallets that I have downloaded and installed, but I currently put them onto my extra portable hard drive here and not the main PC, is this okay, or
should they be installed onto the main hard drive of the pc? They are working alright, but again I have not tried to transfer any coins out of them back to coin base yet either.

(5) Do only certain online wallets let you get coin in certain names?

(6) Or,  is there actually only one online wallet needed that can handle all the coin collection payments for the various sites I have been visiting?

(7) Is the coin Satoshis actually the same value as the bitcoin as I can not seem to locate that particular coin on the market cap list that I have been viewing?

( Cool  If, its not then can someone here kindly tell me what it actually is called on that market cap list?

(9) When it comes to the actual trading to others for some other alternate coins that I do not have, can someone here explain that in simple terms:

Meaning how do I use the little bit of coin I have in coin base to get say a doge coin on the trader side?

In my coin base account it shows coin in BTC, ( bitcoin) but like on the Cryptsy exchange it shows I have no funds in there to purchase alter coins with?

(10) So do I link my coin base account to my Cryptsy? If so how please in easy newbie steps please?

Now I have been researching myself, for the past few weeks and managed to have found some information on these questions, but they are really confusing to follow,
and after reading the forum posts here members tend to have a better easier way that I am able to follow along with being so new to this game, and actually getting somewhere with
all of this. So please if anyone here can help me to get these figured out I sure would appreciate all the help.

7  Economy / Service Discussion / Looking For a Open Source Script To track When to visit sites again on: March 20, 2014, 10:23:28 PM
Hello,

I am very new to this forum, and still learning the new language. so please be kind.

I am currently doing a few faucet to earn some of these coins with, however, keeping track as to when to
go back to them again, is getting bit difficult at the moment. So I was searching for any type of open source script in which I could
add in the website URL and it would use say perhaps a timer to let me know its time to go back to that website again?

I know one such place had something like I am trying to describe, called that bit-chest.me website. It turns the site timer on when you have
to wait, and then turns it orange when you can go back there again.

Thanks to all who will kindly be able to help me on where I might locate such a function to keep all my sites straight.

it get hard when they all start to look the same, until you enter in the captcha just to learn you already done it within the past min.
