1  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1]. New release includes AsicBoost on: February 28, 2021, 06:53:03 PM
I tried bos-toolbox install -p password 10.10.10.10 but I get this error:

Code:
[2021-02-28 20:40:13] INFO:Attempting unlock host on 10.10.10.10 with AntPwn v3...
[2021-02-28 20:40:13] INFO:Sending upgrade payload...
[2021-02-28 20:40:14] INFO:Triggering payload...
[2021-02-28 20:40:14] ERROR:Failed to trigger payload on remote!

Do you maybe know what causes this error?

Hi, I have been using Braiins OS for some of my miners and I am very satisfied!

Anyways, I have a question regarding BOS installation. Long story short, I tried installing them for my friend and he gave me the wrong password which is required to install BOS. Now I get this message in Command prompt:
ERROR:Auth credentials for host on ***.***.*.*** are wrong

What might be the solution now that I know the right password of these miners?

Thanks

Thank you for your answers. I still have a couple of questions about PSU's. Sorry if I sound dumb, I am very new to this lol Grin

For now, let's say I only have 7x3070. One 3070 card needs a 2x8pin connection, so that means I need two 8pin both end cables to run one card, right? If so, that means I need a PSU with 2*7=14 PCIE slots? I am not including risers because someone suggested me using splitters that go from the cable that plugs in the card.

Also, I saw that there is a Delta electronics DPS-2400ab PSU and I am not sure if I can use it, as it has 6pin slots in it.

Thanks, you helped me a lot. So I should be fine with 1600kw for 4x3080 and 2000w for 7x3070, right?

What about calymore, or other mining software?

Also, what about the hardware, can you recommend something that fits my rig?

I think I'll probably use claymore or nicehash on windows.

Hey, got my hands on some 3080 and 3070 and I am starting to GPU mine.

Since I don't know what motherboard/CPU/PSU to buy, what would you recommend for the 4x3080 rig and 7x3070 rig (2 separate rigs)

Thanks

What about using something like https://mining.luxor.tech/?

Apparently it automatically switches to whatever coin is the most profitable.

I am most concerned about inflated profit numbers on Asicminervalue or whattomine tho.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Z15 real profitability? on: December 19, 2020, 04:20:47 PM
I am interested in buying Z15, but I am not sure yet.

Does anyone know if the profitability is what whattomine.com says it is?

Hey, thanks for sharing this information.

Any updated on A10+ and how it's performing (I'm thinking of buying one too  Grin)?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer Z15 honest reviews and where to buy from? on: December 18, 2020, 11:27:17 PM
Don't know if its still relevant, but I am also thinking of buying couple Z15's.

The site I will most likely buy them from is antminerdistribution.com

Couple years ago I bought 2xS9SE and everything went smoothly.

Yes, I'm thinking of buying this one. https://www.asicminervalue.com/miners/innosilicon/a10-pro-ethminer-720mh

ROI is around 8 months, and even if its like 10 or 12 months, that is fine by me. I am hesitating buying it because it will be my first Innosilicon miner and I don't know much about the miner quality itself and if I will get it by January.

Thank you for your answer.

Long time ago I saw something about that Innosilicon do not deliver in time and that miners have technical problems, I can't find it now so maybe I'm just dreaming.

I would like to get some replies by people who mine with Innosilicon and if these miners are worth the price.

Sincerely,
Martynas
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 2x Antminer Z15 or Innosilicon A10 Pro+ 6GB? on: December 18, 2020, 10:22:05 AM
Hello,

I am looking to buy miners that mine altcoins, and I can't decide on which asic to buy. I am currently choosing between two Z15 or one Innosilicon A10 Pro+ 6GB.

I would like to know your opinion about these miners, because I can't find anything helpful on the internet about Innosilicon miners.

The main question is if Z15 profits will go down with time as more miners come out, if Innosilicon will deliver new miner on time and what should I expect about profits.

Sorry if these questions seem dumb, I only mined BTC with Antminer S9SE and I know little as of writing this post.

Sincerely,
Matynas
