1  Other / Beginners & Help / Possible to recover funds from a multi-signature address? on: August 02, 2014, 01:31:54 PM
I created a multi-signature address using http://cosign.co.in/ and sent 0.0099BTC to 3QaZ7robwxxuxfsxYBvtFprfzrWVg23FWN then couldn't work out how to release them properly and forgot about it. Now the link to the address has expired (http://cosign.co.in/w/3QaZ7robwxxuxfsxYBvtFprfzrWVg23FWN).

I still have access to both the sender address (1MCkNwwocD745McjNMGPEDNz1CrKNPeQ6C) and the recipient address (18myeFKeex6QAW53sXKwKUJVRnAzCKUsmT), is there any way to recover the funds using Armory or something similar?

How much for express shipping to Australia?
3  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Selling quality collectable Casascius coins........ on: April 24, 2014, 11:41:24 PM
How much for the graded 10BTC coin and how much for the 25BTC coin?

25btc Gold     = 33btc
10btc Graded = 20btc
Including the other items listed, and tracked postage.

Will discount to 51btc if bought together.

Cheers

Nice, I'll most likely pickup that 10BTC coin a little while after I've sold off my miner  Smiley

7  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Cointerra TerraMiner IV ~1.2TH/s Bitcoin ASIC Miner IN HAND on: April 20, 2014, 11:45:14 AM
I want to sell my Cointerra TerraMiner IV which is hashing along at ~1,2TH/s (up to a maximum of 1.4TH/s if you can provide sufficient cooling). 1 of the 4 GoldStrike 28nm ASIC chips is offline which can be fixed by either getting the unit RMAed by Cointerra which I just don’t have time to do since the unit will need to be packed up and sent to the Cointerra HO in Texas and back again or by swapping out the motherboard and pump. I give no guarantee that the offline Goldstrike can be fixed however considering Cointerra's generally lackluster customer service and mediocre communication. I have tried the unit on several different mining pools for several days at a time including GHASH.IO, BTC Guild, and Eligius which all work fine. You can also set the miner to Load Balance mode so it mines on up to 4 different pools at once.

At the current difficulty of 6,978,842,650 and the hash rate of ~1.2TH/s the miner can make ~0.086BTC per day.

I can input your mining pool credentials for you before sending out the unit if you would like, it is currently running off firmware version 0.7.6 which uses cgminer version 4.1.0.

Proof that I own this miner (you can verify with http://www.coinig.com/)

11  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How long have you been mining & what is your current hash rate? (+ bonus Q's) on: April 09, 2014, 03:01:35 AM
Started mining a few years ago with a CPU back when you used to be able to knock out a few a week, then stopped and picked it up again last year with a bunch of ASICMiner USBs until I got scammed on my next order of 20 more due to my greed of releasing from escrow before receiving them, then picked it up again about a month and a half ago with a partially broken Terraminer IV. Don't think I'll be mining much more in the future despite getting free electricity in my apartment, I like supporting the BTC network but it's becoming a bit too arduous with cables and LOUD fans all over my room.

~1.2TH/s using the Eligius pool.
12  Economy / Web Wallets / Blockchain.info Backup Query on: March 30, 2014, 05:10:49 AM
I hold most of my coins in cold storage but tend to keep a few on Blockchain.info at a time for convenience and to quickly buy and trade online. Assuming that Blockchain.info goes down unexpectedly and for good (which I believe is unlikely considering how competent the staff appear to be) would I be able to recover those coins if I have my wallet identifier, password + mnemonic, send password + mnemonic, 2FA, and an old backup of my wallet? I've disabled automatic backups for my wallet considering that's how so many people tend to get their hot wallets hacked. I have 2FA on my Gmail account and regularly cleanse it of unnecessary emails but I still don't want to open myself up to attack. I also generate new addresses for every incoming transaction so I'm assuming I would need to make a new backup every time I generate 100 new addresses?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How should I capitalise on my free electricity with alts? on: March 28, 2014, 09:45:44 AM
The apartment block I'm living in at the moment only has the price of electricity included in the rent and only has one meter for the entire building hence everyone abuses the free electricity by leaving TVs on all day and having bar fridges in their rooms etc. I'm already mining BTC and a few other SHA-256 cryptos with a Terraminer IV going 24/7 but would like to start getting into mining Scrypt/Scrypt-N coins and maybe even XPM which I believe is only capable of being mined with CPUs at this stage? I have my personal PC which severely needs an upgraded GPU and power supply so I'd have an excuse to leave it hashing away while I'm out for most of the day.

Should I buy myself one of these: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=25734&zenid=e87397295669b3f2fa97825633106d4f
Or a couple of these and crossfire them: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=25734&zenid=e87397295669b3f2fa97825633106d4f

Or is there known issues with trying to mine with XFX cards?

I know cheap Scrypt ASIC miners are allegedly just around the corner but if my GPU mining can even hash away for a few weeks before they hit then it'll pay for at least a small percentage of the GPU and contribute a few hundred kH/s to the network.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How i lost respect for Cryptsy on: March 28, 2014, 08:14:06 AM
I only use Cryptsy to deposit altcoins in relatively small chunks and immediately exchange them to BTC and then send them straight to my wallet. I haven't had any transactions disappear and I haven't come across any other exchanges that handle so many different coins. Mintpal, Bter, and Vircurex are the only ones that come to mind but I won't be using Vircurex in the future after they suspended BTC withdrawals. Are there many other competitors to Cryptsy that handle DVC/IXC/NMC/TRC/PPC/TAK/MZC/DOGE/etc?
15  Bitcoin / Mining support / Cointerra Terraminer IV Issues on: March 28, 2014, 07:43:44 AM
Are there many other miners out there who are having significant issues with their Terraminer IVs? Mine is currently mining at ~1.1-1.2TH/s as one of the Goldstrike chips on the first board (CTA0) doesn't appear to be online. Originally both chips did not appear to be online for CTA0 until I upgraded the firmware to 0.6.48 (I'm currently using 0.7.6 with no discernible difference). It should be hashing at at least ~1.5-1.6TH/s but only tops out at just under 1.4TH/s when I cool the unit down to just below freezing at 1°C with CTA0 hashing at half the capacity of CTA1. The details of my unit are as follows:

I'm wondering whether I should just RMA the unit if I can (which I've heard can take up to 20 days and I may end up having to pay import taxes again when they ship the new unit out) or if I should open it up, voiding the warranty, and see if I can fix the issue myself however I highly doubt I would be able to unless it's something obvious like a bad soldering job or disconnected wire.

I currently have a Terraminer IV running at full power stepping (setting 9) which I believe pulls ~2.2-2.4kW from the wall. Both PSUs are plugged directly into separate outlets and not daisy chained or connected to power boards. Where I live has ~220-240V power however so it'll be using ~10A per outlet if my math is correct. Should I consider investing in some kind of UPS to regulate the power and make sure it's getting 'clean' electricity or would this be a waste of money in my situation? My knowledge of electrical engineering doesn't really extend past W=V*A.

This is concerning, I have a Terraminer IV currently in my bedroom pulling around 2.2kW from the wall, sitting on top of a small stack of dead laptops with the batteries removed (so that it's not sitting on carpet). It's in the middle of the room but still in fairly close (~1 meter) proximity to potentially flammable items. The temperature where I am is still fairly high at around 30°C (86°F) and quite humid but I have both windows open and the ceiling fan on 24/7 circulating all the hot air out. Are there any more effective cooling measures other than placing more fans/an air-conditioning unit in front of the intake fans? I've been contemplating placing the miner inside some kind of top-loading freezer (electricity is very cheap where I live) but I'm not sure how effective that would actually be if at all.
