You know what's funny? Price doesn't mean squat right now. No actual adoption of VRC has caused the price to rise. It's only profit seekers speculating on the functionality vrc is trying to offer. But as I pointed out vrc is dressed up with closed source centralized services which anyone with any sense would avoid like a plague. You know whats funny...all those days and many many many pages in this topic there were fudders keep talking this coin down. And what happened...it raised. How empty they must feel right now hahaha.
What a community...i have never seen a community like this and i'm gonna buy more of VRC...now i know for sure it has a dev team who are willing to FIGHT for their community and not hang their heads because of all the fud.
Keep up the work. Gonna throw some in the verifund after i dumped some other shitcoins of which came and fud here.
The market is a collective sentiment of all buyers and sellers. Both prices and staking rate show a very strong support for Vericoin at the moment. I don't know but it seems I would rather trust the whole collective rather than some random stranger on a forum thread... **And I would also like to thank you the devs for making such a tough decision under such extreme times. I appreciate all the efforts you have made to protect this coin and community. **

I've just caught up with the forum threads and not sure that an average person/investor would have the time to go through all the arguments of the hard fork posted here. If in any case, they would be reading up the official statements from the Vericoin Developers here: http://www.vericoin.info/downloads/Statement.pdfAnd the official statements from the Mintpal Exchange here: https://support.mintpal.com/index.php?module=announce&sec=view&id=17What an average person would probably pick up from this would be: 1. Mintpal's security has been breached and hacked, hence less trust & extra caution to use them in the future 2. Vericoin's developers have stepped up to help protect the coin as well as it's community and investors 3. Rules are made to be broken, and it's up to whether you would prefer Batman (one who breaks rules and steps up to do the right thing) or the Cold Ruthless Law that states that there is nothing that can be done against a theft as it is against all principles of how a crypto should be. Common sense with the right morals/survival mindset > Cold-hard principles/rules Just my sharing.

buy4crypto,
+1 Agreed, I have also referred this coin to several of my other friends as I do see some interesting points revolving around Vericoin.
Taking aside all the debate of the technological innovations (claiming of credit, who's got a slightly better model, etc.), I see VRC is taking a very different route in terms of marketing/promotion than the many coins out there.
The targeting of "mass-public" rather than the "crypto-pioneers/traders" is really what will give VRC the true and stable value it deserves in the future.
The devs were smart to target the 99.9% (mainstream & every-day life adoption) instead of the 0.1% (where it is highly susceptible to pump-n-dumps and price manipulations).
It's really a blue ocean vs. red ocean strategy here, and this is the direction that most institutional and reasonable investors would be happy to see.

No it's not a scam. I have been watching and following closely the work progress of the Developers and so far everything seems to align with what they have said with their roadmap and strategic plans. Always do your due-diligence before making any significant investments/support. Read more info from their site, join their chatrooms, watch their Google Hangouts, question your reasoning as to why you would want to invest this coin instead of the other, etc. As for me, I have done those and I would say I am comfortable in investing a significant portion of my portfolio into Vericoin and Bitcoin.

+1. Thanks for tipping us koralon. This will be greatly appreciated for any newcomers who might have come across this thread

I used to trade securities on behalf of some major banks awhile ago...and if we want to unload a significant amount of securities we would usually do so in a "discreet & concealed" way (i.e. in batches)...so that we don't alert the markets and cause a panic drop in value.
Regarding the sharp drop in value for Cinni, these are the possible scenarios responsible:
1. The dump was executed poorly by a mediocre P&D team...resulting in drastic decline in prices...and possibly costing the P&D team $$. 2. The dump was made due to personal financial reasons (e.g. maybe the guy decides it's time for a down-payment for his lovely house...) 3. The rapid dump was made for a hidden agenda (e.g. flashing sell walls to panic sell to their own hands)...which I will leave them for you to ponder why.
Please note that none of the above 3 reasons affect the fundamentals of Cinni whatsoever. Now what's left is to review the Cinni fundamentals...which I believe is one of the strongest contenders for mass public adoption... and will also improve upon on with many new features in the next rounds of dev announcements.
It may have been over-hyped over the past few days, but I believe currently is a great and safe entry point to buy-in again and I expect a stabilization phase between the 16k - 18k before heading to the 20k - 25k phase.
My 2 cents.
Whatzhub, THANK YOU for this analysis. PLEASE do post more here, and do so regularly. We need professional opinions like yours here for all to see. The trolls just make me nutz!! Personally, I agree with your comments 100%. No way to tell about motivations of these whales. It sure did not make them very much coin. UNLESS, their intent was to drive it CHEAPER in the overall plan. Something you may be able to add comments to? If I am correct, then that means they are actually ACCUMULATING at cheaper prices. GOD for our intermediate-term price appreciation. ANOTHER positive for Cinnicoin is ALL these fundamental points which are all great points supporting future price appreciation into long-term. Those would easily support a 100,000 sat price right now. These whales stopped that, for now.... Thanks again, ~darylluke. Hey darylluke, No problems, glad you agree with what I said. It's really just some rational and common-sense thinking, but again the crypto-world seems to have it's own sets of trading rules here...so there's always something new to learn! Incoming FUD from China on Bitcoins, probably another reason causing the sell-off of the many altcoins... - "Chinese Payments Association Wants Banks to Identify, Eliminate Bitcoin Activity" Sell if you believe that Cinni will trade below 10k (highly unlikely due to very strong buying support atm) Hold/Buy if you believe that Cinni will be trading back up over the next few days (more likely once panic sells are cleared) As far as any analyses and predictions may go, please note that it will always be the market (the collective intent of buyers and sellers) that dictate the price movements. I'm on the buyers side. Which side are you on?

Now, could it POSSIBLY be anything to do with the fact that I have been trying to get you lot to see that there are multiple names on their distribution list there that have reported compromised accounts here?
No, of course not, go on, keep on screaming abuse at me. I'll at least take comfort in the knowledge that I tried to alert you all to the breaking scam with evidence and reasoning. Perhaps some of you took note and saved yourself from further harm from these bastards.
The rest of you, who are now about to have to wake up and smell the bullshit from these scammers, I'd suggest you rethink your knee-jerkery when it comes to hurling abuse at people who are presenting you with reasonable assertions that disprove your deeply-held beliefs. Either that or just stick with the theism you must already be conditioned with and pray to your invisible sky-daddy to help you out.
One option might serve to improve your life in the long run, the other, well I'm sure you're not so dense you can't figure out how effective that is.
Thank you for alerting us previously, I have taken note of it and have silently done my due diligence and smelled a possible scam too. Have sold off everything during the 1st wave of warning between the 1500s - 2000s. Let's hope everyone can get out before it drops to 100 satoshis...if the dev appears....I might place a buy order at 1 satoshi to honor this... honorcoin...

Before investing into cryptos one thing you should really do is to take a look at your own "risk-aversion" levels.
Would you rather bet with a 50% chance on a coin that may give you a 100% return..else lose everything? If yes, then Honorcoin is your investment choice.
Or a 90% chance on a coin that may give you 10-20% return...that is to say ride the wave? If yes, then perhaps the currently heated Cloakcoin or Silkcoin is your investment choice.
My 2 cents.

Congratulations, seems like the collective efforts of the AC Dev Team as well as the whole AC community has catch on to attract serious investors into jumping on-board the AC train. Seeing some big buy walls on several exchanges, will also be divesting some of my other investments into AC. Let's hope we can bring this towards a new upward market trend for AC!

Nice AsiaCoin Faucet! Thank you for taking the initiative and effort into making one. The community certainly appreciates it. I have donated around 1000 AsiaCoins to the faucet, cheers~
