It's time to take back mining profitability.

Meet the upgraded Vaultbreaker and Vaultbreaker Mini.

We have added a +50% power boost in MH/s to the original designs for some added punch.

At 750 MH/s, the Vaultbreaker is a new weapon in the fight for solid Return on Investment (ROI).

Pre-Order them today (shipping end of Q3 / early Q4).

I am proud to introduce to you the Vaultbreaker, or as we've come to call it internally, the Altcoin Slayer.

http://www.gawminers.com/100-mh

It’s the world's first 500MH/s Scrypt miner ─ and it's powered at sub-1000 Watts. This is unlike any miner you've seen before. It truly has the ability to bring any Scrypt Coin to its knees.

So make no mistake about it - ROIs are back.

The Vaultbreaker and its brother, the Vaultbreaker Mini - for the compact enthusiasts - are the first of a new line of machines GAW will release to usher in a brand-new era of profitable mining.

Stay tuned for end of Q3, early Q4 when we ship the first batch. We will do everything we can to beat the Titan to market.

I started this company to change this industry and, thanks to you, we've come a long way.

Another unhappy Falcon owner here. Rather than writing out a block of text I'll hit the important points quickly, both good and bad.

  • Exceeds the original 27Mh rating, seems to average around 28Mh.
  • Case looks nice.
  • Packaging has inadequate shipping protection. Parts of the case were bent on mine and the screws that hold the boards on were loose. One of the fan cables was disconnected.
  • Draws ~1115W consistently on a Raidmax 1000W 80 Plus Gold PSU. Coin diff has no impact on power use for me.
  • Power connectors are not wired correctly and will short if you use the extra PCIe pins.
  • Case fans blow air out the back (negative pressure) rather than sucking it in. This is opposite of the PSU and may cause cooling issues for the PSU.
  • I won't list all the issues with the ZenController since they've been discussed elsewhere. Needless to say it feels like a prototype, not even alpha stage.
  • Case is a few mm taller than 4U. This may make it unsuitable for rack mounting but I can't be sure as I haven't tested it yet.

To top it off sometime yesterday afternoon it stopped mining entirely. Sometimes it comes up as sick, sometimes it thinks it's hashing but doesn't output any results. Unfortunately I had to host it somewhere else due to power use and don't have physical access to it yet to diagnose. Hopefully I can get my hands on it today or tomorrow.

Hi Dan,  we see this is the 2nd or 3rd post you made about your hardware. I would be happy to issue you an RMA for a full refund. Can you send me a PM with your order number to start the process?

Dear Forum Users and Customers,

This will be our last announcement here Smiley.

Lets start with a brief update. The last few days have been incredible. Between shipping all the first weeks’ Generation A Miners and launching our partnership with ZenMiner, it’s been an exciting week!

We could not be more excited by the feedback we have received from our GENERATION A LAUNCH; here are just a few comments:

Review:
New user, first post here.

Boxes have started arriving in the mail, and I just wanted to give some major kudos to GAW and Josh in particular. We took a gamble on you for this pre-order business but I'm starting to breathe much easier now. GAW has delivered on absolutely everything they've promised, and much, much more.
- store credit to compensate for Gridseed price drop
- next day, free shipping on product launch
- non-stop engagement on this forum by Josh, keeping us informed and answering questions and concerns
- excellent response to customer service inquiries
- free zenminer controllers

Oh. My. GAW.

Seriously. I just keep getting more than I ever expected.

And I'm sure I'm missing some. This level of customer service (especially in this particular business) is unprecedented, and I have to believe that this product launch is a loss-leader when everything is tallied. BUT... GAW has made a loyal customer here, and probably many more.

Whatever the mining future holds, I can't wait to see GAW play a major role in it.  Keep up the great work.

Review:
I just got the unexpected Zen Controller / Raspberry Pi gift from GAWminers.  Thank you so much!  I've never received a outright gift like that from a company before.

And I got tracking for my Week 1 Fury - maybe slightly behind schedule but the free upgrade to DHL courier more than makes up for that.  It will get here days sooner than regular post.

Thanks for everything GawMiners!

Review:
My Black Widows are running for a few hours now, the mentioned 18mhs seems about right. Variance is quite high but in the long run it's arund 18mhs.

So getting 18mhs for an advertised 13mhs machine is quite outstanding if you ask me!

Cheers and thanks GAW-team

Review:
I have a Fury hosted and can report of the same hashrate, very happy, too :-)

Review:
My miners have been up and running for a few hours now so I thought I'd report the hash rates I'm seeing.

Black Widows - portal and poolside, 18MH/s!
Fury - portal, 1MH/s, poolside, 1.6-1.8MH/s!

Review:
Wow, I am beyond happy. GAW delivered early and the miners are producing way over advertised hash rate. What more could you ask for? Awesome. Cool

Only down side is instead of taking those $750 used G-blades of your hands I'm gonna have to buy another Black Widow now. Cheesy

Review:
Another happy GAW customer here.  I've ordered (and received) 2 Gridseeds from them in the past and just completed an order for a Fury.
Very happy with the service (Amanda was great!) and looking forward to getting the Fury and included Zen Controller!

Review:
Received 2 days ago, super easy setup and running at 1.3-1.8 mhs. Great customer service and Zencontroller is amazing. Waiitng to see those week one prices again. Keeep up the good work gawminer

Review:
1 week Fury. Im very happy with this product. Nice hash 1.3-1.4 MH/S in my pool. Working good with free ZenControler. What else?

Review:
Received my ZenMiner 1 day before receiving my Fury , Web page is easy to access , nothing hard to config , ZENOS as been updated
now we can see accepted shares etc.. much better now , and will probably be much more better in a few days

Review:
I bought a Black Widow from GAW after my Cyclone from Zeus. My Black Widow shipped AFTER my Cyclone, and my Black Widow is hashing away at 14MH/s while my Cyclone sits in a Chinese warehouse being probed. I'm definitely unhappy with my Zeus purchase and wish I had put that money towards a bigger box from GAW instead.

GAW seems to be the perfect company to buy hardware from at this moment. Where zeus was first in the spot of: best hardware company, now GAW does. They offer free shipping (or for 25 bucks express shipping), and are a lot cheaper than Zeusminer. And oh they even give a refund... I think about 80% of the people would actually cancel their order if it would be possible, and go to GAW miners. But maybe I have an image of GAWminers which isn't realistic

I'd go with GAW again in a heartbeat, they even take cc's which makes this easier.

As the week ends, we have another exciting announcement Smiley

GAW Miners is moving from the bitcointalk forum:

We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with "Get Satisfaction" to launch “GAW Community”! Our new platform will allow us to deliver better support and announcements.

We will also offer new features like being able to vote on new products you would like us to offer and pitching us ideas!

GAW Community is located at: community.gawminers.com

This has been an amazing ride and we are so thankful to everyone in the community that has supported us here. We thank the staff at bitcointalk for their support and dedication to our company.

Going forward, all support and conversation will take place on “GAW Community”. So we will be locking this thread. We will still check in on our PM from time to time, but we will no longer provide any support through bitcointalk.

Farewell and we will see you on GAW Community!

The primary issue with the power consumption boost is that a 'firm' number wasn't documented till after Week 1 units were delivered to people. If they are in fact using the same units for hosting (cases, chips, etc.) then they should have been well aware of the power draw prior to release since it was posted that they had the actual fury/widow/falcon/war machine on hand during the pre-order phase.

There was a change in the power consumption needs on the store pages a week or two ago after Gaw CEO posted about a 10-15% increase in power + hashing speed, so this is a second bump in the power needs for these ASICs. This newest one ultimately more egregious since it wasn't pointed out till people had the units in hand.

I only a Fury (and two week 2 coming next week), and the power brick that came with it gets pretty damn hot. I can only imagine trying to cool down the PSUs for the bigger machines!

As mentioned a few times, you may return your unit for a full refund.

Hi everyone,

Our manufacturer asked us to inform you that when powering the bigger miners (Black Widow, Falcon, War Machine) with 8 pin PSUs (typically for regular computers) with a 6 +2 pin connectors, to only use the 6-pin connectors. Don't use the extra 2 pins to make it 8 pin.

Using those extra 2 may damage the wires and the wires themselves may need to be replaced so please take caution.

Server PSUs are fine (as long as the top is all positive and bottom all negative)!

If you've had any problems at all with this, please contact us at:

support@gawminers.com or rami@gawminers.com

Thank you!

How is the ZenContoller going today?

Believe they posted a schedule yesterday.  Everything is suppose to be back up at 11am, but I don't recall which timezone that was in.  I noticed their webpage was at least back up!

Give it a try Smiley

Hi Everyone,

Today has been an exciting day as the majority of our miners have been delivered to our customers,  but it has not come without bumps in the road.

Because all ZenMiner customers got their controllers at the same time,  it has overloaded the servers they set up. I've been ensured that they will have the servers upgraded by the end of day today.

You can still continue to mine using the standalone software located at:

https://gawminers.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202184744-cgminer-source-and-config

We will update you once we receive word the servers have been upgraded for you so you can connect your free ZenController. We will also provide a future plan on how we will avoid these issues.

Thank you for your patience and support.

Hi,

Please note that the free ZenController that was shipped to you is only capitible with the Miner is came with (Generation A)  they will be releasing an update shortly for it to handle more then one brand at a time, but at this time it you can only use one brand of miners at a time.

Thank you and congratulations! You're being contacted now! Smiley

Thank you everyone for participating and making this a fun event in the name of GAW Wink

Here is the open software link: https://gawminers.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202395200-cgminer-binary-and-config

Please be advised, if you overwrite your ZenController, you will not longer have support for that device. Thaks!

Thanks for posting these. One minor thing though; it seems that it's missing the source code and a copy of the license which is required to comply with the cgminer licensing. Just giving you guys a quick heads up.  Wink That is unless I'm blind and missed them.  Cheesy

It'll also be interesting to see how quickly other mining software developers add support.

Quick question. Will it only be possible to update the firmware on the miners through ZenMiner or will you also be releasing a standalone updater?

Hi, all our updates will be pushed down through the guys at ZenMiner Smiley

Hi Guys,

Just a few updates.

ZenMiner:
ZenMiner is currently only allowing users that already have their miners to log in. We have been sending ZM the order numbers for those units that arrived today. Since the majority of customers are not getting their miners until tomorrow, they have not activated anything so as to prevent support issues arising from those attempting to sync their controllers without the actual miner.

Shipping:
Getting you guys tracking numbers is taking longer then I hoped. We went ahead and started sending them out, whether they had updated or not, just so you guys had them. But as we predicted, some of them have not updated, so we know customers are now confused about the shipping situation. Later tonight you will see many of the labels will all of a sudden update with a ton of information. This is how DHL does things (we have shipped thousands of packages through them). But it does not effect the time frame. In fact, many were all shipped at the same time, and many miners are already at the final warehouse destination ready to be put on delivery trucks.  Some of already been delivered.

We were also informed that a handful of Falcons were left behind, and do not make the delivery truck yesterday. While those orders were picked up today at Hong Kong (our last night), and were also expedited, we will still offer a mining credit equal to the current LTC rate to make up for the delay. We will contact you directly on those orders as it affected only a handful of customers.

If your tracking number has not updated, please wait until later tonight. If it still has not, please email us and not post it here.

Software:
We have confirmed that none of the customers that have their units wish to download it. So like ZenMiner, we are holding off until later tonight.

Hosting:
We have seen a few posts that concern us. Before you make a post about "hosting issues" you may think others are experiencing, please take the time to read all the other relevant posts. The majority of customers are getting more then the advertised hash rate. There are still a handful of bugs we are working out and we respectfully ask you to be patient. We just hit 48 hours on a brand new hosted farm that we spun up in less then two weeks. I know we set the bar high, but there will be small bugs.  We thank you for helping us discover them;  there is just no way for us to really see the system under load until you start using it on hundreds of different pools.

The initial feedback is off the charts. But, if you are not happy with your hosted order, you can email us for a full refund.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but as previously mentioned, we are all on double time over. Between normal shipped orders, a new brand hosted farm, preparing orders for next week, etc. We ask for you patience. We are just as eager for you to get your miners as you are Smiley
20  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners (Scrypt ASIC seller) independent feedback thread on: May 28, 2014, 12:09:52 AM
The users here are copying any challenges customers are having from our official company thread. They are purposely cutting out positive feedback and only posting the ones that are issues.

As evident by the fact that the same 2 users post over and over again. Their agenda is fairly obvious.........
