1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HVC] Heavycoin - Ultra-secure, Decentralized Block Reward Voting, Fast on: April 27, 2014, 02:19:00 PM
Whoa. I've been mining and haven't checked this thread for a couple weeks... Whoa again! Dissension amongst the troops, morale is at an all time low. People feuding and "ignoring" one another. What happened to the civil, intelligent conversation? It's sad how quickly things can fall apart. After catching up, my concern currently lies with the developers commitment to this coin. No word for 8-10 days, and then he pops in to say "Hey, we're going to continue offering support...yadayada", and then he doesn't address a single concern that was posted in his absence. I'm assuming he'll pop in a week from today to say something similar.... I propose a mutiny. Let's commandeer this vehicle before it careens off the cliff.

If you want to be taken seriously on the internet, type like a normal human being.

say what you like ...price is going down
I think he's saying that you can't attribute that to a specific model of graphics card - unless you have statistical data on the cards used for HVC mining, can show an increase in 750Ti use and correlated decrease in price; and even then it's merely correlated Wink

It's a little asinine to understate the significance of the latest ccminer releases MASSIVE hash boost for this coin. Everybody and their brother is buying dozens of 750ti's simply because they are the best cards out there right now (power consumption and price to hash). So when a 750ti goes for 4m/hash to 11/mash... your profit from mining that coin triples in an instant. Obviously people are going to start mining HVC if they weren't, or keep mining and triple their profit if they were. Increase in supply, lack of demand... price speculation. Yada Yada.

750ti's have revolutionized cryptomining and in an instant their HVC hash rate tripled... how would this price drop not be attributed to a specific model of graphics card?

Anybody mining at heavycoinpool.com? My estimated payout has been hovering around 3 for 8 hours... Are there such things as never ending rounds?  Huh Frustrating. 11m/hash - 3 coins in 8 hours. Almost zero invalids and a decent share rate.

i left that pool after only getting 24 coins in 8 hrs at 124 mh/s.

I left after spending a week to get 50 coins with my 15MH/s...

Damn. I'm glad it's not just me... but what's up with that? Small pool size? I've tried just about every pool. Currently at 1GH. Lack of dashboard means I'll have to wait another 24 hours to get a good feel for profitability. :fingerscrossed:  Roll Eyes

With 1GH you can check your balance at the following URL:

http://hvc.1gh.com/user?wallet=YOURHEAVYCOINADDRESS

paste your Heavycoin address in the URL at YOURHEAVYCOINADDRESS

Ahhh, very cool. Thank you!

Hello again HeavyCoiners! My guide to getting started with HeavyCoin is complete!

Please take a look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=542962 and share this with anyone you know looking to get into Crypto. It's a pretty thorough guide about everything from downloading the wallet, mining and exchanges. I'm open to suggestions for anything I could add.

Also in the guide is a link and description of my Mine-and-Forget program. It's a windows program to help keep mining from getting in the way of work and other tasks you might be using your computer for. It will run your mining program after a set time of inactivity (you set it) and will cancel the miner anytime the user does anything. Hopefully this will help us convince our friends that mining won't be so bad after all! Smiley

Mine and Forget V1.0
Mine and Forget Source Code V1.0

With nice cool mining and no interruptions, there's no reason for the average person not to join the HeavyCoin party!

Also, please keep sending your configurations to me at heavycoinwiki@gmail.com! It should help us keep this thread centered on how to grow HVC Smiley

Good luck miners! HVC to da MOON!

Nice write up! I like to check every few hours too. Which pool do you favor? I love this coin, but I can't seem to get more than a couple 2-3 coin payouts per day. I was getting way more before the difficulty went up (as to be expected) but now I'm getting so few (practically none with 11 m/hash, very few invalids) that I'm thinking of switching to a different coin.

this thread seems slow

As it should.  Cheesy

I was wondering about the increase in TDP on the 750 ti cards.

I raised the numbers in bios to 65W, but the only think I see changing is the percentage of max (which is now lower), but I don't think it is pulling any more power in reality.

Is this normal for what others are seeing? or did I miss something in the setup?

Perfcap reason is always reporting 'limit by operating voltage'.

Thanks for any help or comparisons.

Nomad, I did the exact same thing and have also been wondering. I'd be curious to hear what others have to say.

...and v0.5 is available at the place you all know and love: github

https://github.com/cbuchner1/ccminer/releases

NOTE: Great efforts need great donations. I'll split with Chris84!

I'm running a 750ti. V.5 crashes immediately for me. V.4 still works great! I'm using the precompiled zip. Does it need to be compiled differently for Maxwell? I've never compiled anything haha, but can figure it out if need be.

Thanks for being awesome, Christian! Will donate when the coin starts rolling in.  Grin

Is there a way to auto close, and then immediately restart cudaminer if the time between accepted shares is too great? My share rate is suffering horribly because of random pauses. If I close cudaminer and restart it, it works again for a while. If I can't alter this behavior, I'd like to work around it.
Sounds like a vardiff problem with the pool you're using. Sad

Dang. So nothing I can do on my end? Config editing and such?

Down goes Cryptorush!

Not sure what made me withdraw all my shit out of there two weeks ago but I'm glad I did.

Oh wow. It's a sloth eat sloth world out there... So many exchanges being hacked.  Sounds like Atomic is pretty buttoned up and safe for the time being.

What does this mean?

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Sloth] Slothcoin - SHA3 - SlothSlothSloth! on: March 26, 2014, 11:07:45 AM
Soo..  Is this going to get promoted?  Or is it just going to stay completely unknown?

Any ideas how we could promote this coin to the moon?

In the end its a community effort.

Definitely a community effort. Make this thread a friendly and helpful place. Respond to peoples questions and inquiries. I've asked a few, and have tried to answer a few. To the moon!

Anybody mining with cudaminer? You guys ever get 3-10 minute gaps between accepted shares? I cringe when I see it hang for ten minutes.

Can't find any info on that error.

Too the moon!
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 25, 2014, 03:21:02 PM
Within the last day or so, cudaminer has been "hanging" after mining some time. The time between accepts always varies a bit, but now it's 1,2,3, or even 10 minutes. Sometimes it resumes sometimes it doesn't Not getting any invalids, but there does seem to be some sort of error?

I'm running a 750ti factory OC + a little more.  Reducing it to stock clock doesn't seem to fix the issue.

6 minutes later it's trucking along just fine, still slower, but no errors. Runs for a minute.. same thing again for a few minutes.  Huh
