1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: March 28, 2014, 12:14:02 PM
if coins arent returned till end of this week we have to make some group official paper, and ask for domain seizure, and sen it to some court, or anything,

I think there is a very simple thing to put him in a corner:

Everybody, so that is worldwide in this cryptoworld, go to the police and make it official you have been robbed.
OK if only a few persons do it it is nothing, but if a lot people do it worldwide, there might be a big chance that at airports / bordercrossings etc etc they will get a message in their system as soon as his name shows up.
Then slowly the ball gets rolling.
And in this case i hope they catch him in a country somewhere in asia.

COINEX SUMMARY:

coinex was hacked....

erundook was a hacker...

erundook hacks coinex...

erundook hacks his own site...

the hacker is gone

and so is erundook!

and where are our coins?

ALL SOLD to localbitcoins

and so erundook lives happily ever after...

NEXT CHAPTER:

The CURSE (of ERUNDOOK!)

I think his big mistake was thinking he stole only from honest people.
I'm 100% sure that there were, not so honest, people among us that will chase him if nothing comes back.
The way it looks like is that everybody accepts what has happened.
So start an exchange, run it for some months and get on the run because everybody sees it as a risk they take.

He is gone, and when it got to hot he made an announcement here, so everybody slowed down tracking him.
After these messages he is gone and, i hope i'm wrong, he is laying in the sun spending our money ...... very simple.

Yes, I feely admit that I'd love to have all of CoinEx's customers on my site. And there's nothing wrong with that.

But as a customer who also lost some coins there (nothing worth worrying about - I moved most to AllCrypt once the site went live) - and moreso as a site operator who believe in honesty and integrity - it REALLY pisses me off that he's been so shady about everything so far, and it baffles me that some people seem to be perfectly Ok with that.

I guess I just demand more from people.

And I agree - it is a great place to hang out and chat. I'd do it all the time. It's why a day or two after we launched we put in a Trollbox on the site - I personally missed chatting with the people on the site. Made it feel more... connected.

I think the only way to get more visitors is to be actual with the new coins.
Be the first as exchange for coin X and be the first for coin Y etc etc. In the end people will come because they want to trade their new mined coins.
For popcoin it took weeks, i was lucky to get some for the huge amount i had but there are wallets full of mined coins, still waiting for an exchange.
And the most important: Be OPEN to your visitors.
There is a altcoin calender site... so do your homework to attrackt visitors i would say Smiley

It is pretty clear that CoinEx doesn't want to keep us informed, and yet they ask for our good will.  It is time for another update.

Ik hope that what i wrote earlier is not true but as far as i can see all it's happening right under our nose.
Keep in mind that he or they might be gone.
After he wrote the message, the whole conversation changed 180 degrees. (that is what he wanted)

Agreed.  It makes me nervous that he tried to hide first.  CoinEx has been down for weeks and expected to continue operating I would have expected more communication.

The first thing, to show some "good" intentions should be opening the site and keep people informed on a daily base, no matter if they write: ok we tried to open 18 march and we didn't make it because one of the investers (here on this sunny tropical island Smiley ) needs time for blablabla, but nothing.

Here he wrote all coins or so, at least also altcoins are gone and at another site (what was written / copied here) stood that it was only BTC and LTC.
Look back the whole chat, in the beginning everybody wanted to do him something worse and after his message all turned into: respect / we want to help / keep my money etc etc.
In the meanwhile he is no longer chased, when he was, and could do what he wanted.

Maybe he will sent us a card from a sunny island Smiley

Just 2 things (ok there will come a lot blabla because i'm new here Smiley )

1.-

Often you are forced to leave coins at an exchange, a nice example is cryptsy.
If you have BTC you can only withdrawl it when you reach the minimum amount, BUT you can often only change them for other coins when you have a minimum amount.
At cryptsy it's often 0.1 BTC
So if such an exchange falls, they will always have coins of you. (even if you know they will fall down, you can never withdrawl the money that belongs to you)
For some altcoins i have lets say 24 or so and am not allowed to change them or to withdrawl them before i have 100, so i am forced to mine these missing coins. (this for the people that say, never leave coins or certain amounts of coins at an exchange)

2.-

The Coinex story:
I've been there for some months and if there was an issue i was always helped within the hour, so maybe i was the lucky guy Smiley

Let's take the possibility that somebody took the money and got on the run. (i hope i'm wrong)
What i see happening is what, in my opinion, profs / experts or give them a name, would do.
You rob everything, try to erase your info from the internet, you hear or see people want to do the worst things with you.
To let everybody calm down you suddenly post something with a explanation, so everybody changes his point of view against you and what you see in the 86 pages of chat, this happened.
From willing to kill, paying a visit etc etc suddenly changed in security chats.
In the meanwhile the person who robbed everything has a chance to get away because nobody is paying attention anymore.
So every now and then this person posts something to calm down everybody.
In the meanwhile nothing is changed.

I hope i'm completely wrong, but if i am, i want to get informed.
If coinex realy wants to start again and survive they have to give info on a regular base here in this chat / twitter, or online.
Let people hear what you are doing, let them hear how long all will take etc etc. INFORM PEOPLE !!

Sorry for the bad english.

Anybody noticed this?

Erundook is a hacker, so we all trusted our money in the hands of a hacker?
