1  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: February 18, 2024, 05:19:44 AM
^ Another run out, this time Gill got out when he was on 91 and we can't blame Kuldeep either cause Gill dived too early so that he couldn't get into crease.

Patidar is a replacement for Kohli so when Kohli walks in, he will be out of XI and Sarfraz is the one brought in the place of Iyer where he played brilliant in the first innings.

Another good news is ASH will be joined in Day 4 of 3rd test so no issues either and India will go for kill soon and let the ENG to bat.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Any means of combining multiple output into 1 ? on: January 16, 2024, 08:25:03 PM
You can convert 30 inputs into 1 input by sending all the UTXOs to the same address or any of the address you own, and that is the only way to combine inputs and simply it's called consolidation which you should normally do when fee is low, like 1 sat/vb to avoid paying huge fee when network is highly congested like right now.
3  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Problem with Electrum wallet when sending BTC to exchange! on: November 16, 2023, 02:24:39 PM
Please check the second transaction it should be confirmed by now since the fee used is more than enough to be included in the last few blocks that were mined.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Missing addresses after restore on: November 14, 2023, 10:03:12 PM

The "dumpprvkey" also return only one private key even if you have 30 addresses so i cannot restore 30 wallets even if i wanted.

Thank you !

"dumpprvkey" <address> will give private key of the specific address only in qt. AFAIK you can't retrieve seeds in qt wallet so either you can recover the wallet using wallet.dat file or 30 addresses with 30 private keys. Please correct me if I am wrong guys.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Missing addresses after restore on: November 14, 2023, 09:41:29 PM
If you import the private key it only retrieve the coins stored in that address so did you imported 30 privkeys?

You need to use the recovery seeds/mnemonic phrase/seed phrase to import the wallet.

You need to use the fee required as of now which you can find at https://mempool.space/  which is over 40sat/vbyte at the moment.
8  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What could be the cause of this? on: October 24, 2023, 05:06:02 PM
The wallet hasn't connected to a sever which is the reason it can't able to broadcast the respective transaction.

Looks like the issue is with the internet connection, try installing the wallet again or just go with Electrum which never had any issues for me in years.

The legendary and one of the iconic spin bowlers took his last breath today at the age of 77.

Bishan Singh Bedi was one of the world's greatest Left arm bowlers in the world.

Here are some of his records which may likely to be never broken in future.

1. 1560 first-class wickets - most by an Indian player
2. Second best in Maiden overs in test format (4.2 maiden overs per wicket)
3. Most economical bowler in 60 over ODI format.
10  Local / India / Re: Kerala HC Shields Innocent Crypto Traders From Account Freezes on: October 24, 2023, 04:04:46 PM
As far as I know, cybercells doesn't make a clear investigation and traces the accused person involved in it but they blatantly order the banks to freeze bank accounts which is totally unfair and this ruling from the High Court will also pave the way for the pending cases in other states since this decision can be highlighted to unfreeze their hold funds and only withhold the disputed funds.

Is this decision likely to remain the same if this is appealed to the Supreme court?
11  Local / India / Re: Discussing about Bitcoin to Friends and Relatives. on: October 24, 2023, 04:00:02 PM
Have you had similar hesitations or successful conversations about crypto's potential risks and rewards with your friends and Relatives? Share your thoughts!

I am not really type of person who is giving financial advice to anyone because investments always associated with risk factors so insisting them to invest on investments can backfire at us if it didn't go well.

But I helped them with their purchase once, by helping them to introduce to an actual exchange and how to buy it also explained the risk factor and taxation aka everything they need to careful. Also recently my uncle asked me how my investment in bitcoin is doing I said for the recent past weeks bitcoin is being highly bullish and he was happy about that.

I asked him whether he want to invest or not?

He clearly said no, and he is the kind of business person whom I respect and let him be his way.
12  Local / India / Re: How do you convert your BTC and cryptos to INR on: October 21, 2023, 09:42:35 AM
Stop converting your Bitcoins to INR, if you don't understand the value of Bitcoin then you are a shit asking such a question. Bitcoin is more valuable than INR, if it wasn't then you would have been hiding behind a cave. You came here for what to know what?. Being a low rank member you should encourage a point for adopting Bitcoin, whereas you are talking how to get the most from Bitcoin for INR.

The purpose of this thread is to find an efficient way to convert BTC to INR and eventually, at some point, we convert them for some reasons. I do know that bitcoin is highly valuable and I am not suggesting anyone sell their BTC for INR however I asked them to share their way of conversion so that others can find the information can be valuable.

@SaShiRaJaVu, I used wazirx exchange multiple times and everytime the trades went smooth but yeah every exchange operating under India probably sending the reports to tax officials.

@libert19, Never knew the existence of exchange thanks for sharing it, I will check it too.

@bitnote, Please share the name of those p2p platforms which has zero fee, cause exchange without trading fee seems too good to be true.

@Bitcoin Smith, Thanks for sharing it, but the only reason I am not using p2p platforms is due to the existence of fraudsters.

@TheUltraElite, 30% tax rate is one the capital gains and only applicable if we cross the income tax slab but as far as I know I didn't convert that much apart from a few thousand once in a few months.

@cafter, Gift card comes with lot of hidden fees though but I never used it and I feel its better to use debit cards instead of prepaid card.

@avikz, Good to know that you are being a HODLer. Wink

@pawanjain, Bitcoin is money too and the purpose of money is to be spent for our needs so if someone is not willing to spend their money even if its indeed then it doesn't sound like a wise choice.

@erikalui, haven't heard this exchange too and this is why I created it to know how fellow community members are trading. As I said gift cards comes with fees 800 seems to be a lot if someone is only converting a small amount so I guess its not really a suitable way of converting BTC.

13  Local / India / How do you convert your BTC and cryptos to INR on: October 17, 2023, 07:41:24 PM
Hey guys, I thought sharing your ways of converting BTC to INR or vice versa may be helpful for other users from our community because every exchange and trading platform has a different fee structure so this may help to identify the best and cheapest option to convert our cryptos to Rupees.

I am using Wazirx for converting my BTC to INR because the price on that platform is always 3-4% above the market price (I mean from corimarketcap price) so we can get better deals compared to other exchanges but 1% TDS will be deducted along with trading fee once the trade order executed, then we also have to pay a withdrawal fee of RS.10 for NEFT and 25 for IMPS.

The normal trading fee is 0.4% but if you are holding WRX tokens then you will get discounts accordingly.

14  Local / India / Re: Why Indians are not Adopting BTC over Gold? on: October 17, 2023, 04:23:35 PM
I don't understand why you would want to hurt the sentiments of every Indian. Regardless of diversity of India every Indian in some way or the other is bound to make a purchase of Gold. Hindus do it because of religion, minorities do it because it is acceptable for dowry. Almost everyone buys gold as a gift. The Indian subcontinent follows what I wrote, buying gold is a tradition. It is not possible to overcome traditions with technology, by technology I meant Bitcoin.
Money has no religion, everyone wants to become rich and I never saw any female in India say no to gold jewelry for gifts, dowry, inheritance, etc.

For middle-class family, it acted as the best store of value of their assets even without their knowledge because our ancestors understood the importance of preserving their asset value and the concept of tradition/culture/religion.
15  Local / India / Re: Oct 1 | Tax on online gaming & casinos set to 28% on: October 17, 2023, 04:17:58 PM
Few state governments banned dream11 and similar apps and others have some restrictions so it differs from one state to another and the regulations related to internet activities are not strong in our country that is why these apps are still making money.
The government can keep banning them and more such avenues to circumvent the official ban on gambling will come up and be made popular among the youth of India. If you feel they are bad, advice those who are addicted to it to quit using them, help them but dont force them, because it is an addiction after all.

Such cat and mouse games between the government and different app makers always exist, you just have to watch them have fun. Grin
I see this thing differently, most of the users of these fantasy sports are youngsters who may not be aware of what it actually it is so it is important for the company to brand them in the right way but they are promoting themselves as some kind of skill game which makes crores of people to bet on these apps every day, especially at IPL and World cup matches and all of them were bring into the concept of fantasy sport by deceiving.

Advice is to create awareness and also regulate the fantasy sports under gambling which will make them more regulated and help the minors to stay away from gambling because mostly these people come from the middle class.
16  Other / Meta / Re: Why did a mod delete my posts from 7-2 months ago that didn't violate any rules? on: October 17, 2023, 03:22:08 AM
AFAIK, if moderator consider most of the posts from a newbie is below the standard then the user will be nuked that means all the posts will be deleted which is completely different from handling all the reports manually.
Can you show me which user get nuked due to one liner shitpost (not related to SEO spam, referral link, share malware, etc) in the last 2 years?

I completely understand there's a rule the moderator would ban for shitposting, but until now I don't find the reality of that rule.

I don't have the examples too but that's opinion came from my understanding, and each moderator handle things in their own way so we can't expect same for everyone.
17  Other / Meta / Re: Why did a mod delete my posts from 7-2 months ago that didn't violate any rules? on: October 17, 2023, 03:02:19 AM

Nuked is where the moderator will ban the user and delete all of his post, @OP is only broke low quality post rule, he will not get nuked/banned even he keep shitposting.

Right now the moderator become more friendly with users in this forum except you ban evading or commit plagiarism, it's a zero tolerance here.
AFAIK, if moderator consider most of the posts from a newbie is below the standard then the user will be nuked that means all the posts will be deleted which is completely different from handling all the reports manually.
18  Local / India / Re: Why Indians are not Adopting BTC over Gold? on: October 17, 2023, 02:22:47 AM
India is one of the country where gold is mostly used in the form of jwellery and also it acts as great asset when it comes to emergency situation so Indians used to take gold loans with their jewels whenever they want. Another important reason is marriage, gold is still acts as the standard of deciding factors of the brides family status so they can't get rid of gold.

Apart from gold middle class people never exposed to other assets even they consider investing in stocks is only for richest community.
19  Other / Meta / Re: Why did a mod delete my posts from 7-2 months ago that didn't violate any rules? on: October 16, 2023, 11:56:18 PM
Likely you were also given temporary ban which you might not know becuase you do not visit this forum with the around the time.
For one to get a temporary ban, the delete spam post count has to be quite high, not just 14 deleted posts.

For a newbie 14 posts is more than enough for the account get nuked, so he should be feeling lucky in my opinion.

Mods generally don't handle old posts for spams but every mod has their own way of handling it at the end of the day keeping the forum clean is their job.
20  Local / India / Re: Oct 1 | Tax on online gaming & casinos set to 28% on: October 16, 2023, 10:18:24 AM
Again most casinos are not based in India as gambling is illegal as per the law.
Which is why Deltin operates its casino in Goa on the water. They are very crafty because they used the loophole in the legal document where it says "no land-based casinos" - hell we will operate in water Tongue

--snip--

The issue is, the casinos are not allowed here in our country (not even sportsbetting as far as I know) and only this fantasy thing that needs skills is currently running at a very big pace. Even games like rummy, teen patti and other such games where people can actually decide to continue their bets ahead or just fold and wait for the next games, are kind of games which are almost the same as we see on international casinos but I don't understand how our government has not yet banned those games.
It is because they promote themselves as skill based games where you can make money, it's literally gambling though but when we have money the rules can be manipulated.

Few state governments banned dream11 and similar apps and others have some restrictions so it differs from one state to another and the regulations related to internet activities are not strong in our country that is why these apps are still making money.
