did you install the amd/ati sdk ?

I think so. When I google that amd/ati sdk I get stuff that says they changed the name so I went to AMD site and downloaded the lateset driver pack [ 11-6_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_ocl.exe ] . I think this has something to do with it because when I first ran the gui miner it said it could not find an Open CL device. After the install it found a device: [0-0] Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CP ; which I'm pretty sure that is the CPU. The graphix card is ATI Radeon HD 3400 Series.
Can you post a link to this amd/ati sdk ?

I want to add that I am not being lazy. I have read (scanned) damn near every post in this forum. I am still getting the, "having problems connecting with Bitcoin RPC" today as well. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's your hash/s rate, what gpu\cpu are you using? on: June 28, 2011, 10:31:03 PM
I'm mining 9Mhash/s using an Nvidia 9600GT.

Is this optimal or could it be better? I'm using poclbm.exe to mine

I am running Nvidia 9500 GT and I only get not even 1 Mh/s. Must be doing something wrong. I am using the poclbm via gui miner. I actually do better with the Ufasoft CPU miner. I've been pool mining for three days and have only earned 5/1000 BTC. I just started the CPU about 20 mins ago. Very sad.  Cry

I'm just a farmer that can find his way around a computer pretty well. I also love freedom and free people so I am here to support this community. I will definitely sell my livestock items for bitcoin.  I am located in central florida. I raise Berkshire hogs and also milk goats and just have like 40 chickens that run around and lay eggs. If anyone is interested in 100% happy meat or raw goat milk (disclaimer: raw milk for animal consumption only) I got what you need.
thanks for reading.

I have been having some trouble with the gui miner too. Today I tried it on a new machine and kept getting, "cant connect with bitcoin-rpc" something like that. I read every post about that issue on this entire forum and still no luck. In the process I downloaded an older version of bitcoin (3.21 i think) and it had a "generate coins" in the settings that generated 5 times more than my other computer (2500kh/s vs. 450kh/s) I assume it is using the cpu. The sad part is that the other one was using the gpu.
Anyway, I would like to add a question here:

Why would the gui miner list the intel cpu as the only open CL device on the system? I downloaded the latest ATI driver pack (june 15, 2011) which specifically mentioned openCL. But gui minor only listed the CPU. Real bad day for mining for me. Then again every day is a bad day when I only earn like 2 or 3 thousandths of a BTC each day. Sad.

I am Tony F of the CottonFog Farm. I support bitcoin because I am thoroughly awake to the fact that my freedom has been trampled by outside forces that benefit greatly from having a monopoly on a debt based currency. I want to own some bitcoin. I currently have silver bullion and livestock that I will sell for bitcoin. Face to face in central florida or silver via mail. I have spent all weekend learning about bitcoin and I am certain that I would like to own some as well as mine for them. My computer is only producing 4.5/mhs using a gui CLminer. I want to buy a decent dedicated mining rig but only have silver bullion and dollars (mostly silver - i need the dollars to pay my bills) to spend at the moment. i looked into buying bitcoin via exchange but talk about a hassle. That is just sooooo much trouble. Id rather just buy a machine and let it run and let it pay for itself via pool mining. I have been mining for almost 24 hrs at the moment and have only earned 3/10 of a single penny at a price of $15/BTC. If I could average 2/ week I would be happy if the machine cost about $500.
I have been a contributing member of Economic Fundamentals google group for about 3 years and on youtube a bit longer. www.youtube.com/tonyfarese
I first heard about bitcoin from Max Keiser. Then i read a crappy article in Bloomberg Business Week. Then a youtube channel I subscribe to (DonHarrold) put out a video bad mouthing bitcoin yesterday. I get news from various sources so I do my own research. Don has been loosing credability lately. Either way, I do not agree with his views and I am here to do the things I mentioned above. If anyone is in central florida (deland area) and can help me out w/ a mining rig or wants to buy siver w/ bitcoin or fresh Berkshire pork or live hogs or milk goats I would like some bitcoin. Fresh goat milk or free range chicken eggs. Thanks for reading my intro.
