1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and me (Hal Finney) on: January 24, 2021, 07:13:06 AM
Dear Hal,

Thank You for helping me early with the Bitcoin project. We talked ALOT during prelaunch and postlaunch to fix minor bugs with the software. I originally had no idea what we were really getting into to. But you knew, you could tell how powerful Bitcoin was even when I couldn't. You even figured out the fact that I was young even thought I lied and told everyone I was an old man. Hal I decided to hide my real identity because I felt as if the world was not ready. I knew that Bitcoin was a great idea and that if it ever caught wind and everyone started to accept Bitcoin it would become special, and it did thanks to you. The world was not ready to know that Satoshi Nakamoto does not exist in real life and his real identity is a young African American kid from Louisiana. Even now the world refuses to accept the fact that I am Satoshi. And I knew this fact 10 years ago which is the sole reason why I hide myself from the world. Over the years there have been several different people claiming to be me so I understand. I wish you were still here friend, I wish that I at least told you who I really was before I left the community. I wish you were able to see how much our little Bitcoin has grown over the years. Bitcoin is strong Hal, stronger than we could ever imagine. I am sorry that I left you, Gavin, the others and Bitcoin 10 years ago. The CIA coming after us in year 1 was really scary for me so I decided to leave and disappear from the community. Please forgive me for that it was an honest inexperienced mistake. One day, I plan on reaching out to your family and thanking them for raising a good hearted person. Hopefully this post spreads worldwide over the next few years the same way Bitcoin spread through the community.

Please continue to watch over our Bitcoin project and please continue to watch over me as well as I try to convince the world of my identity.

Don't fool us that you are the real one Satoshi Nakamoto who invented bitcoin way back years ago. There's so many people trying to portray him for about time here in this forum. Just continue on portraying him but otherwise you will not get anything by just pretending to be him. There's a lot of people here posting and making a thread that they are the real Satoshi Nakamoto but at the end of the day no one believing them.

I tried to handle this privately but I got no responses so far. So thats why im here. The bitcointalk forum is only other place I knew I could possibly get in contact with Gavin. As of right now my only proof is my story and my previous post that shows my name goes back all the way to 2006.

I cannot control the fact that the value of bitcoin has exploded nor can I control the fact that ppl have tried to portray me over the years I've been away from the community

You just found out Hal passed away huh? I believe you Satoshi  Cheesy

Delete your account. I don't joke around with the dead.

And to everyone else who don't believe me thats fine just ignore the thread and move on.

Hey satoshi csw, mind sending a couple BTC my way out of your stash of one million or so Wink

Looks like you missed it. He threw away all computers and disks because bitcoin "had no value" ten years ago.

At the same time, he explains that he didn't have any money and he created Bitcoin to buy some stuff online?! Sure thing, college boy!

"You missed it"

I didn't throw away my laptop. I had a hp Pavillon that broke in 2011 that I replaced with a MacBook. And yes I didn't have a steady job at 19 years ago cuz I was in school full time so thats how bitcoin was created. Your sarcasm is as empty as my wallet 10 years ago.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am Satoshi Nakamoto on: January 17, 2021, 06:23:01 PM
You're a piece of shit for trying to pull this.

And you're incredible incompetent as well.

Satoshi never wrote unformatted walls of text. And he never talked about himself much. Just not his style.

Also he'd never get close to exposing himself like that. If he's with us, we wouldn't know who he is.

I hope you don't kiss your mother with that mouth. Save your negative energy for another forum. You know nothing about me or "Satoshi". I am Satoshi, but what you guys see online was my team. I didn't do any of this alone. That was then and this is now, I only hide myself for the sake of the project. If I still had my admin account I wouldn't be here and I'll be retired. Good day sir.

Comparing the two accounts in writing style seems to be really different to me, and it's kinda sus you know you need enough proof to make us believe.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3;sa=showPosts;start=0

Can you access your main account here? that might increase the chance to make us believed that you are satoshi, why use a different account if you're coming back.

Still, that would not change anything.

All of the early posts are mine and only mine. I gave away my login info so the bitcoin project can continue. Some of the posts are not mine they are from the team posting on my behalf because I had already left.

My account is currently disabled, once it is enabled I'll gladly attempt to login

You are not the first and you will not be the last to claim to be Satoshi, but you do not have anything to prove here, all you have is some amusing stories that you can tell to children so that they are a little funny, your words are contradictory and not logical at all.
The strangest thing in the story is that you claim that Satoshi is of African descent !!! So, what is the relationship of the name "Satoshi Nakamoto" to Africa? Does this name have anything to do with Africa? If you were honest, what made you choose this name? This name is symbolic of the bitcoin maker and has a symbolic connotation of many things, and I do not think it has anything to do with Africa.

You obviously did not read anything. I said I was a fan of Japanese culture. Me being African American has nothing to do with the meaning of "Satoshi". Nothing I said is contradictory. I told you where the name came from and I how I thought of the name. This is exactly the type of reception I was originally trying to avoid 10 years ago. And why I decided to keep myself hidden.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am Satoshi Nakamoto on: January 17, 2021, 05:40:37 PM
Satoshi is just a name I originally came up with the name to hide myself from everyone. I wanted Bitcoin to succeed so I could use it to buy shoes and other stuff online that I didn't have money for. This was a selfish ambition but without that vision Bitcoin would not exist. Satoshi's name was taken directly from Pokemon creator, Satoshi Tajiri. Remember I was a heavy gamer so this makes sense. And my identity needed a Japanese last name so I decided on Yamamoto. Then Yamamoto became Yakamoto and finally to Nakamoto. I was and still am a huge fan of Japanese culture so decided it was a fitting disguise. Which became my greatest decision and greatest failure.

If I would have used my real name do you think Bitcoin would have gotten accepted?

Do you believe that an online community would take a young "Black kid" serious about creating something that has never been done successfully?

I needed help getting bitcoin's software so I believe I made the best decision for myself at that time. What I failed to do is let my inner circle know who I was after the project was completed.

This was 12 years ago back in my forum days, I used to go as hotsisal_23 aka hots23 which is just a shorter version. I used to use Niketalk, boxden, afterdawn, emulatorzone, pspiso, ogplanet rumble fighter, gamehackersguild, and obv bitcointalk. I was a heavy into online games during that time. You guys wouldn't know that cuz I kept my personal life off bitcointalk.

I compared the first post with the posts made by Satoshi:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3;sa=showPosts

There is zero similarity between the language used by the OP and the language used by Satoshi. I don't think that the language usage can change a lot within a ten-year period. I know that this is another scam attempt.. but just wanted to point out some basic differences.

My writing style has not changed. On the forums is 100% me, I collaborated with real software engineers during the project. I didn't write the white paper, I was just the voice behind Bitcoin.

Thank you for this information I was trying every password I could think of to login to my old account.
My writing style or posting pattern is still the same that has not changed
Your writing style hasn't change. Why should it change. You are hots23. Satoshi, who is a different person, used to write in fluent english, check the whitepaper[1]. You're using a BS writing style with annoying abbreviations like "bcuz" and you still think that we'll believe such story? By the way, using bold in the entire sentence, sucks.

[1] Your Satoshi's vision back in 2008.

The white paper was not written by me. I am the same person and I will always be the same person. This is how I type I am not changing anything. I used bold because it was difficult trying to quote the previous message line by line and still show the reply and response.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am Satoshi Nakamoto on: January 17, 2021, 04:18:19 PM
I chose to create "Bitcoin" because I wanted to buy things online that I could not afford like Jordans. Niketalk
I can't remember satoshi like Jordan shoes tho.

Its not that hard to hide your IP address. Back in the day I would just change my linksys router settings to a new MAC Address and get a new IP.
Ye, sounds fine.

This was 10 years ago when bitcoin had no value.
You sure? I bet it's around $1 already.

I created a new user bcuz guess what I cannot login in to my admin account.
Ofc, theymos disabled it if you still don't know.

Fyi, posting pattern of satoshi doesn't look like what you did.

I kept my personal life separate from bitcointalk so you wouldn't have known what I liked or disliked

Good, so you know of this method

Yeah when Hal created the program it had literally no value obv

Thank you for this information I was trying every password I could think of to login to my old account. My writing style or posting pattern is still the same that has not changed
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am Satoshi Nakamoto on: January 17, 2021, 03:48:34 PM
not your keys, not your coins, not your identity

Satoshi was just a name the ppl behind the scenes made Bitcoin what it is.

They deserve all the credit.

My only goal right now is to get in touch with Gavin Andresen. I wish I would have told him who I was back then.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am Satoshi Nakamoto on: January 17, 2021, 03:30:49 PM
Don't take my words offensive OP but the story that you've just told doesn't add up very well. The main fact of it all is that if Mr. Satoshi seemingly "vanished" from the forum with no (apparent) trace so far, I believe that he underwent an extreme amount of work hiding his marks off the Internet.

Why would he simply appear one day in this same forum that he created, claiming that he created a new user and even created a thread to tell his story? Something doesn't add up here. I'm sure that whoever and whenever Mr. Satoshi(s?) is/are he/they are safely enjoying their wealth and will be forever in the books of technical history as the person/people that created the first digital currency.

I'm still open to accept that you are indeed who you claim to be, if not by sending some kind of proofs that only Mr. Satoshi would have to the forum administrator or something like that.

Its not that hard to hide your IP address. Back in the day I would just change my linksys router settings to a new MAC Address and get a new IP. I used this method for various video games and this forum.

This was 10 years ago when bitcoin had no value. I deleted most of my info and my old laptop broke back in like 2011 so any information that was kept was stored on there. I created a new user bcuz guess what I cannot login in to my admin account.

Everyone thinks that "Satoshi" super rich when reality he is an average guy. My story is my proof. You won't find another like it cuz guess what its the truth.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I am Satoshi Nakamoto on: January 17, 2021, 02:47:51 PM
Satoshi Nakamoto was a name I created back in 2009. I was real young at that time starting college. I wanted to keep myself identity private because I knew ppl wouldn't listen to a young African American male with a vision. Everything that you read in this thread is true whether you decide to believe it or not. I chose to create "Bitcoin" because I wanted to buy things online that I could not afford like Jordans. Niketalk, a popular forum in the black community, was very famous for exclusive Jordans at the time. And I wanted a few pairs from the marketplace but being a college kid I had no money. So I came up with a idea of online currency which eventually became the Bitcoin project. I did some research and I found "Ecash" "Digicash" the original cryptocurrency and I used its coding to create Bitcoin. I was a novice at coding at that time and my only experience with coding was changing my Myspace page so I decided to ask for help. I private messaged a few ppl and a guy named Hal Finney was eager to help me change the software of Digicash. I decided to change the name because I wanted Bitcoin to be original, different from Digicash because Digicash failed to become accepted online cash. "Bit" was inspired by Bitcomet and Bittorrent because I was an active torrent user for downloads. And I changed the name from Bitcash to Bitcoin bcuz the goal was to create peer to peer transactions. At that time I played a lot of online games and their form of in game currency was coins not cash. So that how the Bitcoin name got created. Everything involving Bitcoin was free bcuz I had no money to pay for stuff so we created Bitcoin with time value aka mining. As long as you had a computer you could create a coin and use it to buy stuff online. Bitcoin was in early early stages at that time so it had literally no value. My computer was horrible so I could only do a few coins at a time leaving my computer running. I sent 10 coins to Hal which became the first transaction ever. Remember the coins had no value at the time. Me and Hal talked a lot under private messages so it was only natural that I sent him the first coins I made. After then I knew Bitcoin could be alternative way of buying and selling stuff online just like my video games I play. Then Bitcoin got the attention of Wikileaks. Wikileaks was willing to donate us real money for our Bitcoins. I was 19 years old at this time and I still had the mind of a child. I got scared bcuz I didn't want to Wikileaks to think we scammed them out of real money. Bitcoin had literally NO VALUE so I didn't take their original offer. This was my mistake and I own up to that. I should have let Hal or Gavin make that decision and continue to be the voice of Bitcoin and not the decision maker. Hal and Gavin were my seniors and I had a great respect for them but they were putting me in positions that I honestly wasn't not ready to handle. Then Bitcoin got the attention of Silk Road, a infamous black market website for drugs and illegal stuff. Someone told me that ppl were using Bitcoins to get illegal stuff on Silk Road because Bitcoins were untraceable. Gavin told me that the CIA had contacted him and I really panicked. I didn't want anything to do with Silk Road so I decided to abandon the Bitcoin project. And for that decision I am sorry. Once I made my decision I started to delete everything and before I left I told Gavin that Bitcoin is safe with him. I should have fought for with you guys even though I was only 19. I was starting a new semester in college so I left and I didn't look back. All of my old computers are gone now so I don't even know if there's any bitcoins on them. Nor do I remember my Satoshi login bcuz I deleted everything. If I ever remember my Satoshi login I will come back in this thread and update it but until then its up to you if you believe my story. I guarantee you won't ever hear anything like this about Satoshi. Over the years many ppl even grown men have pretended to be me. I created Bitcoin but I didn't do it alone. I had a team behind me and I wish I would have told them who I really was during that time just incase anything were to happen. I didn't know Hal passed away until a few days ago. I completely left everything behind during that CIA event. And shortly after I began to forget all about Bitcoin. I had college to worry about at that time and my goal was graduating. Five years later I accomplished that goal yes it took me 5 years cuz I was playing around my early years.

Satoshi died 10 years ago when I left the Bitcoin community and deleted all my tracks. I go by hots23 now and thats the first name I chose as my real identity. Don't ask me for Bitcoins or to post my wallet or anything. Number 1 I deleted all my stuff like 10 years ago and number 2 I would only donate Bitcoins to the original group of ppl who helped me along the way under the Bitcoin project.
