1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Myriad [1st Multi-PoW] | 10 Jan - Required update 0.9.2.11 before block 932,000 on: February 05, 2015, 05:53:31 AM
A new version of M8M is out.

Hopefully fixed the long-standing bug of high rejects on some pools. It turns out the difficulty calculation was wrong. I have trouble understanding how this could go unnoticed so far but since I have been mining only on a couple of pools I guess I have been lucky.

There's some slight chance this fixed bug might have impacted high-performance configurations as well but this can only be confirmed by testing.

Required: Windows x64, AMD GCN card (tested to work on 7750), drivers 14.12 Ω.

Wait! Last drivers?

Yep. This is for occasional users and I want them to keep their systems up to date. I am proud to say it keeps my system so smooth I can play simple video games while mining and still being at least as efficient as established miners.

Please report all issues with pools and configurations. Hopefully the reject rate is now on a reasonable level.

I'm still having issues with pools, both PPLNS and P2pool.

Pools I've tried mining on: birdspool.no-ip.org:5567, stratum.dgb.theblocksfactory.com:9000

Yes I know 2 different coins. On birdspool my hash rate isn't reported, but telling me shares are being sent. On Digibyte side, I'm getting no shares received. I've checked my own net and I can mine off both of those servers with my configured sgminer.

Cards: 280x, 3x R9 270's. Drivers 14.6... The most stable drivers I've tested since I've been using my config for sgminer. Been stable for 4 months on the same config and drivers.

But no shares seem to be reaching the pool mining with M8M

 Huh

Weird. It's working for me here: stratum+tcp://birdspool.no-ip.org:5567

but my pool reported hashrate does seem to be generally lower than the miner reported hashrate, by anywhere from 10-50%, but occasionally pool reported rate is actually higher, but seems less often.

Same boat here. None of my share are reported either. I've tried just putting birdspool.no-ip.org:5567 and stratum+tcp://birdspool.no-ip.org:5567 . No change.

I can't get any better performance out of that miner than any of the sgminers available.. The M8M miner reports hashrate as higher than sgminer on the client side but poolside is more or less the same.

This is old but it still works https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=545805.0

Ya I've seen that. Although I've been mining on 4 of my GPU's via Qubit for months now (mining since 150k MYR and now sitting at 700k mined) on the same config below. Anytime I try another sgminer build it just crashes... but then again I'm using SGminer 4.1.0 build from 6-3-2014 iirc. This is my config, 280x, 270,270,270

Play and help support Myriad development.

There are now vanity addresses for the games (the old addresses will still work, no current plans to disable them). Webpage has been altered with QR codes to make playing via the Android app easy:

From this week's donated dice, coinbomb, and Ponzi game proceeds:

Odd, I did send 2k over, directly to the MYR address listed on the very bottom of the website.

i have wallet 0.9.2.7 but sync stops with 3 days left. did i miss a fork or something?

If you haven't been able to sync the wallet since updating, you probably need to start it with the -reindex option.
this is strange. to -reindex the wallet, i went to my myriadcoin folder in %appdata% and it empty. but when i run the wallet it still shows a balance but doesnt complete syncing with the network.

That is quite strange. Normally it would use a wallet.dat file in that directory, unless you otherwise specify a different data directory or wallet file, so I'm not sure how you're seeing a balance if you don't even have a wallet.dat file in %appdata%\myriadcoin...

Anyway, to reindex you can just start the program from the cmd window using "myriadcoin-qt -reindex", or you can make a shortcut to the qt wallet, and right click and go into properties of shortcut and add " -reindex" to the end of the target line, and then launch from shortcut.

still no luck. i can see network traffic in the debug window and see 8 inbound connections but the wallet is stuck at 4 days behind. it said 3 days behind yesterday. i guess im sol with this wallet.

I've had this issue before. I had to delete the blocks, chainstate, and peers.dat and it had to re-download the whole blockchain.

Myriad P2Pool Incentivization: P2Pool Donations

http://myriadplatform.org/myriad-p2pool-incentivization-p2pool-donations/

This is an automated donation system that encourages miners to use P2Pool. Mining on P2Pool helps to decentralise the network, ensuring that traditional pools do not gain a large slice of the hashrate and potentially impact the security of the network.

Donations received at the donation address (see below) are saved up until they exceed the payout threshold. The donation is then split up amongst the 5 Myriadcoin P2Pool networks to both reward those already mining and to incentivise P2Pool mining on all 5 algorithms. Firstly, each network receives 5% of the donation amount. Then the remaining 75% of the donation is distributed to each network on a proportional basis, determined by its time to block relative to the other networks. This results in those networks with a long block time (and hence less P2Pool mining) receiving a greater share of the donations, to act as an incentive to increase P2Pool mining on that algorithm. Each miner on each network receives an amount based on their expected block earnings.

Stats at the time of this post:
Donation Address: M9t5Xep6Fz3scxJkzXfYMXggF7LaAK9A6w
Payout Threshold: 200.00000000 MYR
Donations Balance: 0.49970000 MYR
Total Paid Out: 499.49970000 MYR
Last Paid Out: 2:49 am Saturday 4th October (UTC)

Just donated Smiley

Can also confirm lost 2 MH/s total mining X11 combined with my 3x R9 270s and my 1x R9 280X on 14.9 drivers

All right, then I'm sure I fucked up my test somehow.

Did you delete the old .bin's from whatever drivers you had before, and had new ones generated for 14.9 drivers?

Is anyone capable of integrating these kenels into SG-Miner v5? These are heavily optimized compared to the current qubit kernel.

https://github.com/MaxDZ8/M8M/tree/master/M8M/kernels

Also if anyone needs a pool for a coin let me know and I can open one up. Just trying to help contribute to the mining community.

Curious is yours working, the most recent build? I just keep getting socket closed even if I run it as Administrator (Failed Send, Socket Reset)

Working but only when connecting to a P2Pool. A bit unfortunate since I run my own pools.

Ah gotcha. I was also connecting to a P2Pool myself, and kept getting that error. I'll check for a later build then since I'm not sure why it's doing it

Hello, I have Simplicity 0.2, and I'm trying to create my own .bat for running the Qubit mining for CPU since running the .vbs it crashes everytime. I haven't done a batch file in a while, but all it does if I run this

It just tells me to run minerd --help which there isn't a minerd in the folder. I have the pause there for diagnostics

Any reason it instantly closes?

Got it working now

Quote
@echo off
color 0B
minerd -q -a skein --scantime 2 --threads 3 --url stratum+tcp://birdspool.no-ip.org:5589 --userpass x:x

Just have no idea what my hash rate is. Just keeps saying Detected New Block
