Faucets again? What's new with Raiblocks? All I see is some third party developents on making tip bots or wallets. Where are the game-changing code features?
We already have gamechanging instant & free transactions. We now need use cases for people to use these free & instant transactions. The code is already very stable. The tipping happens onchain. This means that every tip is a real irreversible transaction. What other game-chaging features are you waiting for? |

I was wondering if it's hard to program a script that airdrops coins based on how much one has in it's wallet.
Frontiers list could be used to pull the % to distribute to each wallet; and we could have DAILY airdrops, following the inflactionary scheme that is already in use for the faucet.
It would be an incentive for people to hold their coins like in POS; and exchanges that usually gather lot of coins from their users, would get an advantage listing Raiblocks as they get a lot of XRB daily.
Therefore would be easyer for us to get on bigger exchanges.
While this might be a really cool idea, it would put a lot of stress on the network and the server that handles transactions. BUT, you could set a threshold that only accounts with >N (e.g N = 10000 XRB) get a daily payment. Maybe you could make a weekly payment, so fewer tx would be needed. With this solution, - holding would be incentivised until distribution is over. - buying more coins would be rewarded - but it would also favour the "rich are getting richer" scheme... Well, if the newtork is stressed for a few thousand transaction/day added by this hypotetical airdrop, then it means raiblocks is not good for a production environment. But I think it is, and that those extra transaction won't be a problem!  As for the rich getting richer... well, POS works the same way but still widely used. It's a lot of stress for the servers doing the POW to prevent tx spam. One tx needs ~5s POW. We now have 120.000.000XRB. Even if we limit the distribution to accounts with >1000XRB, there are potentially ~100.000 eligle accounts . This equals 100.000tx /day only for distribution. That's huge volume for a single server to handle. The network should not be a problem :-) If you don't limit eligible accounts, attackers could create many accounts with a low balance, whixh would result in even more transactions. To put it into perspective: today there are 24*200 = 4800tx/day to do the distribution |

Is there an online wallet for this ? and if no . If i download the windows version it will take long to sync?
I like this one : https://raiwallet.com/ . You own your keys, and even if the wallet would go down, you could restore your funds using the windows wallet. There are 3 webwallets which you all find at the bootom of the main page https://raiblocks.net/ |

Devs, audio captcha is nice, but could you make it please shorter, like it was in the beginning?
It's the same length for everyone... So everybody does fewer claims... And since this captcha prevents bots, everybody wins. |

I am a little bit in trouble with this faucet tho...
I want to collect XRB directly to my wallet...
So... i have created wallet at: YapRai Wallet and i went into the faucet... then i pasted my wallet adress into the YOUR XRB Account but apperantly i dont receive anything when i claim... Someone can just tell me can i claim XRB directly to my wallet ?
Only the top 200 accounts with most claims will get a payout! The current "Threashold" can been seen here: https://faucet.raiblockscommunity.net/paylist.phpIt sais that Threashold = 8,792. This means that you need at least 8792 claims before you get a payout! Every account that received a payout will have their claim counter reset to 0. A payout occurs every 60 minutes. And there are 17000 Rai / payout. This means that solving 8792 captchas gives you around 85 Rai (17,000 total / 200 accounts). |

Asking this yet again. What are the legal regulations for faucet based distribution and how are they being integrated into your project. Cryptocurrency is an anonymous set of code. Cryptocurrency is based on a decentralized community. A notary is a person that is witnessing the fact that you are who you say you are, a completely identification based program. How are you going to make distribution completely Anonymous program instead of ICO that backs up someone's identity.
What is this question about ? Legal regulations for giving away a cryptocurrency for free ? ICOs are different. In an ICO the dev receives money in return for his currency. Therefore it is important for investors to know whom they are giving their money. With a faucet, the dev receives no money, but only lots of messages (from claimers that are unhappy) in return for his invention... |

Already the Threshold raised 1000 captchas in a day, at this rate will rise to +10000 and soon it will be impossible to get XRB.  I propose that on weekends do not make captchas to lower the threshold and do not rise infinitely. Hmm i see the TH amount is fluctuating from 5000-6000, but yea it does increased 1,000 today and i hope devs gonna lower th a bit Devs can't lower TH. TH depends only on the number of claimers. It's calculated automatically. Des don't decide about TH. |

Sync time on the newer version doesn't seem to be all that different for me, still taking an eternity. For the people who said it synced in an hour did you start completely fresh(deleting all files from any previous wallet including everything in the appdata folder and just import from the seed)? I'm getting really tired of this hassle. The most basic of things is that you can actually use whatever currency you're using, not have to fight the wallet at every turn.
I synced from 0 to full in a little over 1 hour on an (5year old) laptop (intel i7, ssd, 100mbit internet connection) It was a fresh install indeed. |

When will Raiblock's wallet sync faster? I'm getting this feeling if it doesn't sync faster, it will become useless to make transactions on the network as you have to wait for synchronization every time your wallet is offline for quite some time.
Have you ever tried to sync bitcoin ? Most certainly not, otherwise you woudln't complain about raiblocks sync. Most bitcoin users use light wallets. The Raiblocks wallet you are using is a Full Wallet, meaning you download every transaction that has ever been made on the network. If you want to use a light wallet you can use any of the web wallets out there. Currently for desktop, there is only the Full Wallet option available which actually syncs incredibly quickly compared to other blockchains. |

I installed the new 8.0 Rai Wallet, and it works fine! Great work!
But i lost my password. I already have my seed imported, but i can not unlock, because the password is incorrect. How can i change?

After importing your seed you don't need a password. Try clicking unlock with an empty password. Should work ;-) |

I've tried several times to get the wallet to sync, but no success. I've sent $XRB to test and it has never showed up.
Now the status is stuck on "Wallet is locked, block 1239153" and won't let me unlock it.
Any ideas?

You need to wait longer. It's important you don't close your wallet. If you never set a password, you can usually just unlock it, with an empty password. Otherwise you can juste recover your entire wallet with your seed. (given you have saved it somewhere) ;-) |

 In Raiblocks every transactions consists of - one send block
- one receive block
So the faucet issues 1 send block for every account in top200. You have to look at the blocks, the faucet sent. Not the one this account received. The account you are looking at, was syncing hius wallet at that time, so he received the 4 blocks within the same hour. The Blocks were not sent within 1 hour. They were received within 1 hour (synced at that time) |

you should read the whole thread instead of barking that issue already been raised up and the dev already working too hard to achieved, adding this to more bigger exchange can be possible if the community will work together if we all can hold for just a month for sure the value will rise and it will be notice by bigger investors forcing bigger exchange to list the project.

It is not about holding for a month to wait for a bigger exchange to come. It is about contributing.- Answering questions to newcomers.
- Writing code.
- Brainstorming use cases...

is there any reason for having only in bitgrail and mercatox both small exchange??
why cannot xrb be added to bittrex or cryptopia?
bigger exchange = more confidence. many dont use bitgrail only to buy xrb... this is a big problem
RaiBlocks was listed on Cryptopia.Unfortunately, some captcha-Claimers wrote death threats to their support because sometimes transfers were not instant. Cryptopia eventually removed the support for Raiblocks. This is very good example, how Claimers did NOT help the project ! |
